Sherlock looked around at the happy reunion. All seemed well, but he felt... distant. He was here to liberate this island, right? Why was he here? He had a home elsewhere, somewhere hidden and safe. Why was he here? Sheria. Sheria was intelligent, strong, quick witted and strong willed. He was staying for her, he decided.

But did she care about him as much?

She must have. When he was injured following the death of Commander Toric, she stayed and healed him. Now it was time to return the favor. He began thinking of tactics to take down Set, once and for all.

Falker knew the smell that filled his nostrils. Fear, these two had no chance against four large raptors like themselves. He had killed their kind before, and while they were strong, Dilos lacked the agility of a raptor. This would be no problem. He crouched, bared his teeth, and was prepared to pounce.

    "Hold." Talon said firmly.

    "What?"

"You heard me." He replied. "You two, you have no chance at taking down one of us, let alone four. Retreat now or take the risk of mortal injury or death."

"That rioght, We'll rip ya limb from limb!" Blaine said, licking his chops and staring at the two dinosaurs in front of him.

"I know you don't want this, take my mercy and leave, now." Talon said again, muscles tightening.

"Stop! There will be no need!" A voice commanded.

Talon looked away from his adversaries to spot a Troodon atop a great mossy boulder. He knew he had seen her before.

"You, you're Scarlet, one of Loki's worst cronies."

"And you are Talon, Utahraptor, alien to this land and dead for the last few seasons."

"What do you want? If you're not here to stop Set, then get out of my way."

"Now,now, that is no way to talk to a fellow rebel now is it? I'm here to fight to, this is my island after all."

    "And Loki?"

"Dead or a general by this point, I'm not really sure."

"Really? I thought he was to self righteous and prideful to be under a command. Perhaps Set has saved me the trouble."

"Alright, enough." Scarlet added quickly. "I'm done talking about him. Do you promise to remain my ally, until this is over?"

Talon thought it over, she was almost as bad as Loki, but a bit less tricky...

"I think it would prove to be quite good for us ol boy." An accented voice said from behind.

Talon whirled around to spot Sherlock, followed by Sheira coming from the brush. "Stand down!" He ordered, noticing Blaine ready to pounce.

    /

"How bloody many people does he know?" The achillobator asked himself.

Sheira was silent, she only walked to Talon and embraced him. It had been far too long, too long to not cry.

"How-How are you alive?" Sheira asked through the tears of joy.

"Well you know me, nine lives, like a Vintana." Talon said, squeezing her before releasing.

"I'd imagine that is a long story for another time." Sherlock said, winking at Talon. His tenacity was incredible, almost as if there was a divine interference.

Scarlet looked down at the happy reunion. Slightly overwhelmed, she began to speak again. "Are you going to accept my offer or not?"

Talon looked at her again, confident. "Well, I don't have much of a choice if I want to kill Set, so I guess I am."

((Not a problem, Barry. We've all been preoccupied. Also, how do you feel about those Dilophosaurs being Snips and Snaps?))

Sobek did not realize the proximity he was in to his friend, Delta; no, he did not realize anything at all. He was deep in thought, considering how he would best make use of his forces. There was a considerable number of Coelophysis, his own pack members, and any other dinosaurs they could recruit along the way. No, they could not take down the entire army, but perhaps they could attack one of the generals, or even Set himself. If any of his plans came to fruition, none of them would survive, but hopefully each member of this delegation would take down at least one soldier with them.

Sounds good, they seemed like the type to be hired out.

Talon kept following the tracks of the great crocodile. She was close, he could smell her. Moonfire had a sweet smell, like wildflowers, or nectar. Indeed, it was unmistakeable. Suddenly he noted a new scent, two in fact. One was of a river, he identified it as a baryonyx. And the other, one that had a snap, as unique as Moonfire, but more aggressive, like smelling spices. It was Scarlet, and she had company. Alongside the tracks of the Baryonyx were those of other raptors, carnosaurs and other theropods.

"Hey boss, you smelling this?" Razer asked.

"Yeah, a group of fighters. A local seems to have called up some old friends. I guess we'll find out how many soon enough."

"Sooner than you might think." Falker yelled from the front, sliding to a stop as two Dilophosaurus stood in their path.

Scarlet heard a distress call. One of the Compy scouts, obviously one of Set's cronies had discovered them. Then a velociraptor ran to her, panting.

"Utah Raptors Scarlet, and some of Set's scouts to the north."

    "Great, it begins before midday..."

    Quote from Commandosaurus»

"Goodbye, you wretched, treacherous scum." T'was the scorn of Set's obedient soldiers, moments before he pushed Loki from the cliff. But moments can be varied in length, and the moments pursuant to this statement were lasting several seconds at the least.

First Loki looked to his executioner, and then he looked out to the scene of his death: The vast expanse behind him. He could see the ocean; it was just down below, but there were smatterings of sharp, jagged rocks which would surely impede his fall. Even if he were to somehow survive that, there was the ocean itself: Injured, he would never swim to shore. Bleeding, he would attract countless predators. He was truly a doomed creature.

Then came a sound, and a few of the creatures named Magmaraptors began to turn and investigate. They were too late: From the cliffs, above, stones began to be hurled. They were small, although a few larger ones emerged: These were thrown by Herkul, using his tail and his side to force them off of the escarpments with ease. While few rocks actually hit the soldiers, they created quite a distracting atmosphere, and this gave time for Gor, Illora and Kokorat to emerge from the shadows. One of the Magmaraptors emitted a nearly cackling tone:

"Ha! You have truly lead an army of fools. To think that they were almost free of your influence - now they'll have to follow you in death." This arrogance did not last. As the soldiers of Set prepared to deal with the three closest insurgents, and as the stones began to fall less frequently and in smaller quantities, a raucous of noise was suddenly present, and then it took the lives of one of the Magmaraptors: A flock of Ramphorynchus had emerged from hiding, and several of them had startled one soldier standing too close to the cliff's precipice. Now realizing that they were, in fact, in some danger, the raptors assumed positions of more serious defence. They were not even at the end of their ordeal: Next came packs of vicious proto-mammalians. Several more raptors fell to these beasts, and as they assumed a closer arrangement for better defence, they found themselves only now suffering the approach of Loki's three remaining loyal cronies. They did not notice that the rocks were not smashing against each other any more; that sound had been replaced by animalistic screeching and cackling. Loki grinned, relishing the defeat of his arrogant captors, but this grin was not to last: He was soon pushed from the cliff in a final attempt to complete Set's tasks before death.

As he fell, Loki panicked. He had never died before. There had been one, perhaps two times, where he had thought that the would die. He had even been presumed dead after one of these events. But this was different. This was final. There was nothing which could save him from the jagged rocks below. And in that moment, as is customary, his life was replayed quite vividly in his brain.

His childhood was a blur. Slowly he began to form his own pack, and evolution brought that to an end after a rather successful run. Then he had reformed an army. He had spent some time flirting with the idea of joining Nocturne, but that had never fruitioned. He had travelled to Terratan, which was truly his home, as cruel as it had been to him. Scarletfire.

He had seen Scarletfire nearly as an equal. She was a genius, obviously, and she shared with him so many things: Passion for power, a desire to rule, and an innate ability to betray anyone. They both had ideals, and perhaps they shared their ideals. He wished to rule the island, but to enjoy ruling it. He would have gladly used Set to achieve this goal. And that was what had driven them apart: He had been willing to make use of any tool. She had seen danger in tools. Perhaps that was where she bested him: She was never blind to any side of a scenario. As unlikely an outcome as it had been, she had still seen it, and she had used her intelligence to stay away from it. In the face of death, Loki still saw that view as stupid, but he saw Scarletfire herself as a genius, and as a being who he was meant to do great things with. Perhaps he even loved her.

    He made contact too soon.

His eyes had been closed, but he had calculated how long it would be before he hit the rocks and died. The ocean wasn't loud enough yet. Opening his eyes, Loki found himself on an out-sprung branch. It appeared to be dead, and he could feel it breaking under his weight. However, from here, he could easily jump to a spot amongst the rocks where he would not die; nor would he suffer serious injury. Moments after he had jumped he heard a crunch, followed by a splash, and when he turned around, another Magmaraptor had fallen into the waves after crushing the branch which had saved his life. It had never been noticed before, and now, it would never be noticed again. The branch had seemingly been present only for the purpose of his own survival. Well, I suppose I am important enough to warrant an entire branch, at the least.

((That was actually very peaceful, I liked it.))

Titanis moved with speed now. Red and the crew had split off, meanwhile Moonfire, Nigel, Thoth and himself had moved in a unit. He was heading for where the Pterodactyl had directed them. An odd one that was. Still, the natives respected him, and he was grateful.

Moonfire rode atop the great crocodile. He was very agile on land, that time in the tropics had done him well.

"Titanis, could it be you've grown?"

"Grown? Well, at 150 years old, I suppose I may have."

"That's good" The Troodon replied. "You've not forgotten our big problem, have you?"

Titanis grimaced. "If only I could. Don't worry, I will handle it myself. Long ago my kind made error, and now it is I who must correct it. It is your kind, dearest Austral, who saved me. Now I may return the debt."

"But-But Titanis, I don't want to lose you. We've already lost so much." Moonfire said, emotion running high.

"I'll do my best, and if I fail, I shall die for my kingdom, my island, and my friends."

Moonfire felt a comfort. They might die today, but if they did, they would die together, and be reunited with those long gone.

Night was setting over Terratan. Scarlet looked out over the jungle, alive again. From her cliff she could see forever. A battle scared Barix sat next to her, looking out over the savage landscape.

"The compy I met at the river spoke of a battle tomorrow, the natives are to battle Set for a final push, all versus all."

"And?" Scarlet asked. "We barely escape a possessed demon and a monster, now you want to fight a war?"

"No, I simply think it will be important. The destruction..."

"Wrought by the king of lies, like a snake with legs."

She knew Loki would be there, or perhaps involved in some way. Why should she care? Indeed, from the ashes of this war would rise her empire. But was that what she wanted?

She had loved him, in a way. She found him fascinating. And there were nights, in the past, where he had been caring. Plotting raids and schemes, they would talk for hours about different topics. They grew together. But she could never work with Set. And if Loki could not see that, it was indeed destined for them to be split apart. But was she right? Or, perhaps, she was wrong for the third time in her life. Slowly, their madness came back to her. That was it, their relationship was madness. It was a madness she missed. One she wanted.

    One she needed.

The next morning came early. Barix awoke to see his master standing on the cliff, wind strong and appearance lovely as usual.

    "Barix?"

    "Yes master."

"I need to take a trip, will you join me?"

"I would never leave your side."

Karthra sat down on a nearby bench and wrote to the general, information on where they were and the situation. After paying the messenger, she decided to look around for Laire. This could be what they needed for the mission, and for a promotion when she was back home.

    ((A post about Chelsette soon.))

    "Why is there always one?"

Chelsette sood by a corner, watching a pacing guard. She had successfully breached the Count's home, but now there was a guard in the hall that lead to the library, a hall she would have no way of hiding in. Nevertheless she had to get through. She took two deep breaths and stepped into the hall.

"Oi! What do you think you're do'in?" The gaurd said, gripping his spear.

"I, I just had a visit with the count, I- I need to lie down." Chelsette said with a hiccup.

"Drunk eh? Fine, there's a davenport in the library, I'll help you to it." The guard replied.

"Oh thank you, you're so... So kind..."

"Anything for a companion of the count, keeps him in a better mood it does."

Chellsette continued her drunken act until the guard took her to the davenport in the library. He bid her goodnight and went back to his post.

"Not to bright for a protector of the Count." She thought, rising and looking about. The Library was surrounded by bookshelves, each around ten feet high. In the back right corner was her objective: The Count's desk. Silently as a mouse, she sat at it and began looking through the drawers. The rest would be, in theory, easy sailing.

((I just started a new job, so I'll be more busy, but I do plan on getting back to Horizon and Terratan soon.))

"Understood." Karthra replied, turning away and walking down the dirt street. She noted the strong men rebuilding the cobble and wooden houses that had been damaged. They were most definitely different from the other people in Terma. So resilient, such a different build. There were strong men in every country, but it seemed that here every person was muscular. They were indeed a powerful race, in a primal way.

Karthra continued to the city gate. She knew a messenger would be available for hire there.

Ranger jumped from around the corner, his eyes flashed as the sentry deployed. One of the thugs turned with his pistol raised. Everything was happening within seconds, but Ranger had made thousands of calculations already. As the gun powered up, Ranger aimed it at the nearest thug. Fire flashed from the muzzle as a bullet poured out of the barrel, one after the other. The organic fired twice, and hit Ranger. But his low powered laser pistol did hardly any damage. Firing six bullets a second, Ranger's aggressor was dead before the he hit the ground, his heart obliterated. His blood sprayed onto his boss. One of the thugs charged Ranger with a melee weapon, but this was to no avail. The bar hit Ranger's tail as the robot blocked the blow.

The robot then kicked his opponent to the ground, then got on top of him. The others were on the way, but it was too late. He ripped out the thugs windpipe with his powerful jaws.

The leader was the last one left alive, he stood against the wall, shocked that his guards were killed so quickly.

    "What... What are you?"

"I'm a robot, a robot with a justice core. And I'm finding you guilty."

The leader pulled out his weapon, but a high caliber bullet found its way to his head first. He slumped to the ground.

The girl had been against the wall this whole time, wide eyed.

"Are you alright?" Ranger asked her.

"I'm alright, now." She said, still very scared.

"How long until law enforcement arrives?" Ranger asked her.

"They don't come to this part of town."

"Then I'll escort you somewhere, is that alright?"

"I'll do anything you say, you're the robot tiger."
