One suggestion I have is to make it so the leaves have transparent holes in them, so you can somewhat see through trees, and be able to see if there's still blocks of wood left in the middle of giant trees before you torch them or move on to find another tree to chop down. It's something that I saw in another texture pack that I thought was extremely helpful.

You're not gonna get much out of this. Your story isn't very compelling to read at all. It's mostly just you saying "I did this. Then I did this. After that I did this. And then I went and did that." I'm no english teacher or novelist but this is really boring stuff and the kind of story you expect from grade schoolers.

I know you're just trying to be like the other cool kids and their epic minecraft stories, but you either need to put more work into this and give it a pull to make people want to read it, or give up and look for another claim to fame.

I was actually not aware of this until recently and have been grinding through hell slowly making bunkers that funnel the pigmen into easily dispatchable formations. Now i can relax in the nether.

MoreStackables requires a ModLoader file. Preferably use 303's if you plan on using any other mods.

This is not the case. I just deleted my Bin folder and reloaded it, and only installed MoreStackables, jumped into a world and stacked up some pork (and signs, just for fun) and then tried to dump some water and the game crashed. Nothing else was installed. Immediately after this, I installed 303's modloader, and the game still crashed upon dropping a bucket.

I tested it with just MoreStackables installed and nothing else and still crashed, so it isn't mixcraft's hd textures causing it.

Umm did you not read the previous posts? dougbenham just fixed that didn't he?

    Laterz.

he fixed signs stacking. that's it. if you go try the mod and get different results I'd like to know what you're doing different.

MoreStackables causes crashes if you attempt to drop buckets of lava / water, so be aware of that.

If you read what I changed in the update it was only to fix the sign item. There were problems with MoreStackables 1.11's sign stackability fix. So thats all I fixed. I didn't fix anything to do with buckets.

Being able to stack signs but being unable to use buckets doesn't seem like a fair tradeoff to me :/

dougbenham posted an updated version of More Stackable on the What Works & What doesn't Thread. It is also in OSMS's all mods download.

Check my sig for links, laterz.

this would be great advice except I already know he tried updating it, and that the update doesn't work and dropping water/lava from buckets still crashes the game.

unless your name is also doug, I was talking with the other dude.

This is rather annoying. I must either find room for the 32 buckets of lava I have (and then a ton of food somewhere) or simply stop traversing in areas with immense amounts of lava and hope I don't catch on fire. Hum.

Might be starcraft 2 time. (or work on a starcraft texture pack...)

MoreStackables 1.11 is not fully compatible with the Nov 5th update. The update changed a few lines of code in nj.class (ItemSign). Although, there were no structural changes. This is why the current MoreStackables 1.11 works for the new update.. So I've taken the liberty to update the mod so that it uses the new nj.class from the Nov 5th update.

restarting my pc and then double checking to see if that fixes it.

edit: it didn't work (I did double check and went to the 1.12 link you posted). Tried putting in modloader afterwords and no dice there either. Gonna back up the minecraft.jar and put in the new stackables you updated and see if I just need to reload everything altogether to fix it.

edit2: no dice there either. still crashing with the updated stackables you attempted

The mods I installed were more stackables, obsidian tools, your mod loader, and mixcraft. I had more stackables and obsidian tools installed alone earlier today and was able to drop buckets fine, but I'm not quite sure what's going on now.

Just uploaded a new version of my modified ModLoader (again). Includes Furnace bucket fix. Couldn't test yet.

Yep, furnace doesn't eat buckets anymore. Thanks.

Now to figure out what's causing the new bug of using a bucket to drop water/lava and causing the game to crash.

I would feel stupid if I weren't so happy right now. Dug a hole straight out of my portal cave and marked where the hole was, saw how far off I was from the portals made above ground, went back to hell and figured out where north was from the extra portals i had down there, made a new one (floating above a lava lake currently) and got it linked up with my original portal first try.

Now to build a suitable platform and hut around it so i don't fall in lava / get obliterated by ghasts entering hell.

i must have made something around a dozen portals trying to get this to work, but with my portal being underground in the gold layer and probably a couple hundred meters away from my castle via minetrack, trying to hone in on where the main portal is and trying to get an accurate hell portal is rather difficult.

think i may need to finally install cartographer to get this right. ****.
