More block variants, smoothstone, glass, and the new wood versions of stairs, slabs and fences.

Been there, done that. I have since written a simple script that backs up my saves folder whenever I shut down my comp, so at most I lose a day.

There was a mod for pre 1.2 that made its own maps, up to 2500 blocks tall, perhaps it can help you out. Can't for the life of me remember the name of it though.

I use panes for plane old windows, but underwater (or underlava in the nether) I use blocks, because of the empty space.

Would be really nice to see diagonal and vertical panes. And glass stairs would be nice.

Find a new server. Lag like that (breaking/placing blocks) is due to an overloaded server with not enough memory. There's nothing you can do about it.

It stops conflicts between mods. When two mods try to use the same item they can crash your game, forge sorts out these conflicts.

I found a naturally spawned 1 block cactus on a single stone block above a lava pool once. Came back ~a week (minecraft week) and found a single block of cactus floating above the lava pool. After watching it closely, turns out that when the cactus grew, it updated the original block, which broke, but the new one spawned anyway. So anything can happen with cacti.

And it was pre-1.2, so no seed.

Build another portal ~260 blocks away (I think that's the minimum so that it doesn't send you to the same spot) and see what happens.

Capcody, do you have any mods, any at all, installed? I read about an issue with this once and we figured it was due to some lighting mod. And, was it ALL redstone, or just in a certain area?

Dont get me wrong, if someone is using your account by all means, they have it coming, but in the past users have been mis-accused , so it was added to the rules that you can't slander other players here.

God, I feel like i'm doing the mod's jobs tonight. Not like they are though.
