    Yes. It has been in the last couple of updates. Really, really thick low trees and occasional giant mushroom. Great cover for Zombies and Skells running around in the daytime. And creepers behind trees.

    Switch to 64bit java. With 32 bit there is only so many chunks that can be held in memory and displayed.

    There is a Mod waiting to be made. New other-world and portal type. All portals in normal world take you to the Tardis. Some control settings in the Tardis will take you to any other coordinates.

    Nice but now I want a /import or /read command that will take a file name so I can have premade object files. Rather than have to cut and paste to the console.
    It would make it really easy to script construction and for people to pass around structures.

    Given the new like-prefers-like biome attachement I think there needs to be a long period background forceing function that pushes hot-warm-cold-warm-hot to make sure varieties get visited. Otherwise the random walk seems to get stuck in a particular zone area and not escape. It would proably make sense to pin the spawn point in warm and make one of EAST/WEST or NORTH/SOUTH a forced temperature cycle so +1000 would put you in different temperature zone.

    AMPLIFIED is an excuse to get busy on road and rail transportation. Cut cliff side paths, cut tunnels through things, make impressive bridges.

    Or just run around and paste vines on every rock surface you see and wait.

    Hmm, AMPLIFIED. Now we need some sort of flying craft. Say a small balloon so we can live out UP.

    Balloon -> requires: furnace, paperx5(hat), wheat/strawx3

    Balloon will a) drift with cloud direction. Ascend 1 per 4 horizontal if fire burning in furnace.
    If fire is out will drop 1 per 4, for first minute, then 2 per 4 then 3 per 4 ....

    Perhaps you can add birds + carrot on a stick to balloons to get semi-steerable. Just enough drive to counter cloud movement and go straight up.

    Even without seasons winter biomes should have a small chance of having a melt day. Say 1/20 days for a winter biome to be a melt day.

    And a small chance for other biomes to get a winter day
    normal 1/50
    desert 1/80 -- it gets cold on deserts often and occasionally snows. Most of the arctic is technically a desert.

    We have buttons and pressure plates as sources of actions. These require a player or mob presence.

    The suggestion is to have a redstone activation that depends on exposure to light.
    (or time of day, but I like light better)
    Like a solar cell that activates when lit or photoresistor that passes a signal when lit.

    Uses
    a- player traps. Player places torch. Light circuit triggers.
    b- gates/skylights etc that open/close for the day/night.
    c- torches or other light sources that get exposed at night
    d- secret paths that only open up in the dark

    Granted they won't work unless a player is nearby and the region is being updated. But then mobs won't be moving around either.

    Construction/Appearance suggestion.
    Made with some mix of glowstone dust and redstone dust applied to obsidian. 3 red over 3 yellow over 3 dark.
    It looks very like obsidian.

    If time of day based is made with a clock.

    - edit made preference light activated rather than day/night time based.
