Sorry for the late reply; I don't check Minecraft Forum often.

    I did enjoy the map!

You can get to the house past the barriers by using the wisp parkour to get over the trees.

Due to Minecraft not allowing inserting variables into set text, as far as I know, you'll have to have different commands for 1/5, 2/5, etc. To do that, you can create a scoreboard objective that tracks how many secret buttons you've pressed with the add function, and execute different commands that check for how high the objective is, and tellraw the counter accordingly.

I did step on the stone (which I believe was Polished Andesite, and not any form of Granite), but nothing happened.

Unless you use black for item names, it's unlikely that it'll be difficult to see.

I believe that the Poison Dagger was meant to be placed in the first slot; I recall rainbow potion particles coming out of what I hit, but no damage. Might just be me hitting too fast.

The zoom was nice, though it seems odd for the time period.

The issue with side quest items not coming back is that a side quest can potentially become impossible to complete if you make a mistake.

I believe that putting command blocks into the spawn chunks will have them eternally able to activate. You can have the spawn in a certain place, and then teleport the player to the main area upon respawning.

EDIT: The map has come back.

EDIT: I had some other things in my previous post at the bottom that you seem to have missed.

EDIT: No, Talal still will not respawn.

EDIT: The guards do not seem to respond even when I am sprinting.

EDIT: So far, the fourth mission is my favorite, with the sound effects while in the crate! I'd like to point out that, as some sound effects that you have are done with notes, you can trigger them upon right-clicking a note block that has been used as decoration.

EDIT: In the fourth mission, you can jump off the ship. There's also a random Redstone Block floating in the ocean.

Arrows aren't as threatening as cannonballs when fired out of cannons. Try using an explosion effect with sound?

EDIT: One of the signs says "Life boat" in German. Change that to English?

EDIT: There is a sign on the enemy ship that says "hallway" in Korean. Change that to English?

EDIT: The terrain (water/land) around the ships is square and weird-looking due to the result of edits.

EDIT: You can finish a quest as you start it, leading to strange dialogue (check inventory side-quests).

EDIT: There are random Gold Blocks floating in mid-air.

EDIT: You can get stuck in the air space between four fences when parkouring up the mast.

EDIT: You can't actually stand in the spot where the sign tells you to on the mast; you just jump and touch it.

EDIT: I killed all of the pirates at the end of the ship. Now nothing is happening.

EDIT: The Long-Range Bow is more powerful than the Hidden Blade, and it hasn't gone away (potentially because I left the third mission). Remove it upon cancelling mission?

Glad you figured out the clickable chat! Also, the chest can be opened, but you can only open it by finding and pressing a button in that hallway to the Prison. When pressing the button it will remove that block above the chest. Sorry that this is confusing!

Okay, time to give criticism on everything(-ish)!

The game doesn't give you a Hidden Blade automatically, you have to take one from the spares chest. It being one of the "Main Items" (as indicated by the original post), I recommend you give it to the player automatically.

There is a house in the tutorial area past the barrier; are you supposed to go there? There is loot in it.

I recommend that you hide the chest completely and not point to it if you have to open it first, so that it's not confusing.

I recommend that you either write the information for items in the shop directly or point out that you have to click them near the item; I don't recall anything in the tutorial that says you must click the text. Even if there is, give indication in the shop.

The secret buttons in the prison didn't seem to count up; I found two, but it said 1/5 the second time.

In many missions, you can repeat what an NPC has said, even after you have already done what they told you to do.

In the third mission, you can skip sneaking past the guards entirely and just assassinate Talal by using the parkour to jump to the roof.

In the third mission, you are told not to go above 30. 30 what?

In the third mission, Talal does not appear to come back if you fail.

(Minor) In the third mission, when you are supposed to drop down into the church, the roof of the area is composed of trap doors. One of them isn't placed correctly and looks strange upon opening it.

I recommend you replace signs with hidden command blocks that detect player location and send a tellraw to the player; the signs detract from the game.

I recommend you use more than the default italicized white text for names and default italicized purple for lores; if you don't know how to do this and you want to, you can ask.

In the second mission, you are given Fire Wood to cook the truffle; you can craft this wood into planks, which does not cook the truffle. Add some way to prevent that. I used one Fire Wood to cook the truffle, and converted the rest to cook my raw food.

(Opinion) An assassin having to eat food while on missions like these seems odd; give an eternal saturation effect, and an option to get a hunger effect in the bar?

(Personal) I can't find all of the Hymnals; I've only found eight. Where are all of them?

I think that's all I can think of for now. I can't get past the third mission legitimately without potentially breaking the map, as I do not know how you are triggering the death of Talal.

EDIT: What does the Poison Dagger do? It doesn't say in the description or otherwise; it just seems like a +5.25 damage sword.

(Opinion) It seems odd that your weapons would break, especially so quickly. Add an Unbreakable tag and HideFlags it?

EDIT: The Hidden Blade is somewhat annoying to use; upon scrolling over it, it supposedly uses the give command to give you the actual blade, but it's not very reliable. Oftentimes, the blade given doesn't even end up in my hotbar, and it's completely useless because the time it takes for me to get it is too long. Have it specifically check the slot?

The bow you are given in the third mission to assassinate Talal does not necessarily have to be used in the first slot. It's more of a hindrance that way. Have it for all slots using a tag in the bow that subtracts speed instead? It also has showing enchantments, which don't look that great. Use HideFlags and Unbreakable?

EDIT: Rain is a constant issue; if it's not intended, /weather clear 999999 it (maybe on a clock?).

EDIT: While missions are supposed to be able to be replayed, chests are not refilled, and broken blocks do not come back. Only entities do.

I somehow "completed" the third mission and unlocked the fourth without assassinating Talal. By using the hub button at the beginning, it brought me back to a mission select with an unlocked fourth mission.

EDIT: The picture for the third mission appears to be missing a map at the end for the third segment of the picture.

EDIT: What happens if someone throws away items important for a side-quest before finishing it? Wouldn't that remove any chances of completing it without using commands?

EDIT: The hidden blade is actually a fishing rod, and as such, can be used as one, which is odd. Try a different item?

EDIT: I recommend that you make all of the information from shops instant instead of one line appearing at a time, and that clicking on something makes the information for it come out instantly.

EDIT: Many of the NPCs in game are skeletons, therefore, they will attempt to hit you if you are close enough. Either reduce their damage to 0, or use Villagers that can't trade instead.

EDIT: You can spam the porkchop button in the bar before the overload appears. Make it quicker to prevent exploitation?

EDIT: I recommend that you use a hopper leading into cacti for the waste bins rather than a long string of hoppers; a string can overflow.

I'm not sure why this is the case, but it seems you have not written the information for any of the items in the shop. They all contain placeholder information.

EDIT: Found the answer. On another note, are you supposed to be able to open the chest with the guard's equipment in the first mission? The sign next to it left me wondering enough to break the block above it to open it, and sure enough, there was something in it. If you are supposed to open it, you should probably remove or replace the block there.

posted a message on 1.12 - JSON Text Component (for /tellraw, /title, books, signs)

Is there any way to have a command run from a sign which modifies a command block and can put quotes in the command block?

    For example,

    setblock ~ ~1 ~ standing_sign 0 replace {Text1:"{text:\"Right click me!\",clickEvent:{action:\"run_command\",value:\"blockdata ~ ~-1 ~ {Command:give @p stick 1 0 {display:{Name:"Hello!"}}}\"}}"}

would not replace the command in the command block with the command to give me a stick named " 'Hello!'," it'd just not work at all. Removing the quotes allows the command to work, but the command will not have quotes.

    Quote from godlesswonder»

I didn't include it because I did not foresee you wanting this information, as it isn't relevant in my situation. Now that you've asked; I have tried everything form 2 chunks to maximum with almost identical results. The increase to 100% memory occurs slightly slower when standing still in the 2 chunk scenario, but it still occurs. Yes, smallest possible render distance, standing still in a virtually empty, new, almost entirely flat world - same results.

I changed nothing in the 'java arguments' anywhere other than the specific amount of RAM being allocted. If there is some specific argument I 'should' be using, you might have included that.

So no, I didn't 'push the render distance up' or 'modify the Xmn'. I am only desperately trying to get a severely broken, horribly optimized game, that I also happen to love playing when it works, running smoothly as it did for me (and thousands of others) in past versions. Again, this is the same machine that ran the last version wonderfully. Same machine, same java, same...everything, but the Minecraft update itself. I have changed nothing, merely updated the game, and now it is unplayable...broken.

Simply Google 'stutter 1.8 Minecraft' to see just how many thousands of others have has this exact issue, have participated in polls about it, have had year-long ongoing threads on Reddit about it.... the list goes on. Do not blame the customer friend. With the millions upon millions made off of this game, you'd think they could at least get the base game stable after all of these years. *sigh*

I do believe a memory leak fix will happen soon, probably in 1.9, if that's your issue. If it stutters for you the instant you open up the game, I don't know how to help you. If it slowly gets there, and you have to restart the game at some point, that happens to me, as well. Don't actually know how to fix that either. The amount of time it takes for my memory to climb is fairly long, and therefore bearable.

    • Bug fixes. Hopefully. Not sure what happened with Manalagos... worked fine for me...
    • Texture pack improvements. Now the spells don't look like their slicing open your arm.
    • Replaced Technomancer's gluon beam with sniper. One of the final upgrades for the Technomancer's sniper is now replacing it with gluon beam.
    • All classes now have a wand spell.

Next, I kinda want to try and improve Druid. Maybe work on their final spell... That glitch I encountered gave me an idea... Fear the wrath of the Reset Bomb...

Okay, I got to the final area. I'm liking a lot of the changes that were made, I think it's definitely better than before. Also, I too experienced the bug where the room with the trapped villager and lava didn't do the event properly.

However, once I got to the final area, the Enderdragon thing didn't work out at all for me, I just slipped off the Enderdragon's back without going anywhere. And then I died in the area with the fire/ice alternate pathway stuff. It said "your home bed is missing or obstructed" and put me at the start of the map! Can I have coordinates so I can get back?

Not quite sure. I was away while the map was being made for a month or so, and didn't see that part of it. Ask Talist or The_Topazian.
