posted a message on Uses for Dirt
    Quote from dantheman53600

its a good idea but dirt is to common and you can always just go out and dig a bunch of it

maybe gravel instead, there's not enough uses for gravel, compared to dirt and sand.

i think having fog in the early morning in some areas would be interesting, it'd burn off as the day wears on.

    Desert
Fog in a desert..? What? Well, it wouldn't actually be fog. I guess it could be a cheap excuse for a sandstorm, or desert winds kicking up dust. The fog would never be thick, only thin and on the horizon. It would be a light sandy tan color.

actually IRW a lot of desert critters rely on fog to deliver much needed water, since rain is so rare.

    Quote from ShadowKionic

What exactly would you want from dirt? a potential chance for an ore? (like coal/Iron?) or maybe somthing with similar properties gravel? (flint) or maybe random items that have potential to be on the ground?(apples, meat, seeds(even though punching grass gets same thing),pumpkin/watemelon seeds?) that would be rather nice and add small realism to the idea of objects being lost in dirt (kinda like treasure hunting without actually treasure hunting)....is that what your going for?

hmm, maybe bones? go do a bit of archaeology?

posted a message on pick up arrows
    suggestion: pick up fired arrows.
how come you can't pick up 'fired' arrows (yes i know you can pick up dropped arrows) that the skeletons have shot and missed. you should be able to pull them out of the blocks. its kinda funny if you destroy the block it's stuck in, the arrow resumes it's deadly motion and sticks into the one below it.

but you have to type "ELDER" scrolls to find thier games, and regular people just type skyrim anyway

so how come bethesda haven't gone after 'Runes of Magic' publisher Runewaker? They are using the subtitle 'The Elder Kingdoms', which sounds almost exactly the same thing as The Elder Scrolls.

I think Mojang are an 'easy target'.

posted a message on Mobs attack other mobs?
i've noticed the cows tend to hang around the lights i've put out like they are afraid of the dark or something. i'd like to see notch put in a reason for this and have the skeletons and zombies attack neutral mobs like cows and pigs. he probably could make the skeletons and zombies afraid of the light, so the cows and pigs are safe if they stay in your lighted area. it would sort of fit in with the survival aspect, as most farmers need to protect their livestock from the 'wild'.

posted a message on Bethesda, Mojang & "Scrolls"
Sad state of affairs when you get sued over a fair use word. scroll is a common term for a rolled piece of paper, so this lawsuit should be thrown out at the first stage. when i first saw the promo for "oblivion" game i had no idea it was part of the Elder Scrolls series. You might be able to mix these games up if you expect Bethesda to produce a game with 1990s quality graphics (it could happen).

i'll be interested to see if anything comes of this.
