If it is just a chunk that failed to load then placing torches at the edge of the hole or exploding a TNT at the edge will cause the blocks near the light level change or explosion to update and load. The rest of the hole will still be there but some of it's surface will now be filled in, if that is the case then simply exiting the world and reloading it should fix the entire chunk's failure to load. (you may have to do it more than once)
If torches or TNT don't work then you know for sure that the chunk is corrupted and will never load, so your only option is to use MCEdit to delete the chunk and then allow it to regenerate the next time you approach it in the game.

Jun 19, 2013So why is it when I made an thread completely identical to the one currently published about Sky but that instead said that I like xXSlyFoxHoundXx it was locked for redundancy with three other threads cited?Posted in: Forum Discussion & Info
(none of the three threads mine was cited as being redundant to was the Sky thread that I specifically copied exactly word for word, explain that?)
So threads about Sky are somehow immune to redundancy and are the only ones allowed in the discussion forum now? They sure seem to be getting specifically preferential treatment for some reason.
(and yes I did create the thread knowing it would get locked on purpose as my tags clearly show.)

I was like "I can't imagine aus posting something like this..." until I read the tags.
My post is identical to the Sky thread, so since they are allowing that one they have to allow mine...right?
Jun 18, 2013The problem with single player is that it requires you to have an imagination!Posted in: Discussion
There are no "goals" there are no set "objectives" you have to actually think up your own things to do instead of the game forcing you to follow a script. Some people simply cannot handle this loss of outside direction and cannot figure out what they should do in the game, others find it freeing and exhilarating that they can do whatever they want.
You have a world that is seven times the size of the Earth that is completely yours do whatever you want with and you can't think of anything to do? Your bored?
Uhh...that would be your fault, not the games, singleplayer just isn't for everyone I guess.

How does something about an item in minecraft have to do with being off topic, completely non minecraft?
Show me where Butter or Budder is an item in minecraft?
These ridiculous 63 page threads are far more annoying to anyone attempting to read the forums than the occasional mention of Butter or Budder ever was.
Since the sole reason for these threads is to complain about how annoying it is when people use those terms I thought that I should point out that the only thing you have succeeded in doing is to create an even greater annoyance to an even larger group of people since now even the single player minecraft players have to deal with it multiple times daily.
Congratulations, and no it does not belong in minecraft discussion.

The one I made does not ever mention sky, neither does the one tv flea made. They are both different topics. I see no topic about why people hate him, though.
No, of course not, "Do you like Sky?" isn't at all inviting people to say that they don't? And BTW what does any of this have to do with Minecraft? Should I just start a bunch a threads about lesser known YouTubers like, SSoHPKC, SlyFoxHound, ParagonNova, etc, etc...
Surely since we can have multiple threads about Sky and Butter in the forum I would be allowed to start threads about sayings that other YouTubers and their fans use sometimes. Ohh, I know, I need to start a "shotgun rain for Kurt Cobain" thread, that one is annoying too after all.
The point is that it would have nothing to do with minecraft and neither do these threads, they belong in the offtopic forum if anywhere.
Jun 18, 2013Posted in: Forum Discussion & Info"Hello new forum user and welcome to the
Minecraft General Discussion forumSkyDoesMinecraft Discussion forum, please feel free to discuss anything about minecraftSkyDoesMinecraft that is not covered by the other specific forum sections.
Here you can discuss and ask questions regarding any aspect of
minecraftSkyDoesMinecraft that you want, but please keep it on topic, topics not related to minecraftSkyDoesMinecraft may be deleted or moved and you could receive an infraction for posting them.
Thank you from the staff of the
Ever since the first anti-Sky/Butter thread popped up in discussion people have increasingly jumped on the bandwagon. Yes, seeing people type Butter or Budder instead of Gold was annoying but it was a rare occurrence here and really not worthy of anyone's time or notice.
Now we have anti-Sky and anti-Butter/Budder threads galore with more being made every day (some of which have thankfully been closed). The threads complaining about what was a minor annoyance are now a far worse annoyance than the thing they were created to complain about.
Besides which the threads have now changed from "I hate the childish Sky fans who spam "Butter" in server chats" to threads about "Why I hate Sky." These threads are allowed to continue on for page after page of inane and petty posts that have absolutely nothing to do with the game of minecraft.
Forgive me if I am wrong but I don't believe any of these have anything to do with the discussion of minecraft or have any reason to be in the Discussion forum.
Can the admins please either tell me I am wrong and to shut up or direct the moderators to do something about the growing "Sky Thread" menace? (sounds ominous, right?)
Jun 18, 2013How would migrating break your account? It certainly didn't for me and I don't really see how it could.Posted in: Mojang Account / Minecraft.net Support
The Mojang.com accounts are more secure against simple password hacking since they include security questions to verify your identity before allowing you to change the password or email address for the account.
Even if you somehow managed to screw up the account migration and lock yourself out of the account you could get it back automatically. As long as the email address that is linked to the account is still accessible to you it isn't any problem, at worst you would have to ask to ask Mojang account support to help you reclaim it.
Jun 17, 2013If you created a medallion then you are using the Mo' Creatures mod and that information would have perhaps been helpful to include in your original post.Posted in: Discussion
You should be able to right click on your tamed cat with a medallion and should then be given the chance to rename it. If that is not working then post in the thread for the mod and ask the mod creator why it is broken for you.
Jun 17, 2013ausador posted a message on Why refer to gold as 'butter'? Gold ingots do not look, nor act like butter!Your topic here almost had me fooled into thinking that calling it butter was wrong but then I saw this...Posted in: Discussion
What do you have to say to that ehh?
(lol, modified the US_en.lang file to show that. )

Sword 2 is the better one. Sharpness IV will do more damage to all mobs, not just spiders like Bane of Arthropods and Fire Aspect doesn't do much initial damage unlike Sharpness IV. So yeah, number 2 is better.
Also because sword number 1 with four enchantments on it probably cannot be repaired on the anvil, usually four high level enchantments will put you over the repair level cap. Sword two is better for all the reasons you said but also because it can be repaired and used forever if named so the cost of repairs stops increasing each time.
Jun 16, 2013Skeleton spawners only appear in dungeons in the Overworld, they do not appear at all in the Nether or the End.Posted in: Discussion
Skeletons do appear in the Nether because they sometimes spawn in place of Wither Skeletons, this happens 20% of the time.
But, no, Skeleton spawning in the Nether does not require a spawner and blaze spawners are the only type of spawners ever found in the Nether in vanilla minecraft.
