Java is one of the most hardest coding languages to work with... Even if you know it, it still can be really hard to work with..
No it's not, Java is one the easier ones C/C++ takes the cake by far.
Notch didn't stop development
Last I heard he did, and handed the torch over to Jeb in one of his latest posts. Hence all the topics discussing how Notch is quitting to soon including this one. -

none of our business. You're all acting more childish than
the lowest age of people who can play Minecraft.
(im talking to the members who post/reply with stupid crap)
But on topic, let me give you an example:
SquareEnix, a multi-million dollar company, announces a game
and it takes them 2 years to release it. It's made by a hundred or so
developers and staff and it takes them that long to release a game.
First, SquareEnix has a lot of money to begin with. Second, they charge
their games around $50-$60. Third, they have their own writers and directors
to guide the development until it's release.
This is a f***ing OPEN COMMUNITY.
This is an indie F***ING game.
You can tell all your requests and ideas and the devs here may want to take
it.
But NEVER EVER complain about it's incomplete features because brainstorming
alone is contributed by millions of people. Square doesn't care about what
fans want in their games. They just build games from a director's standpoint.
This is an OPEN WORLD game. There will ALWAYS be features that will be
incomplete and not implemented LONG after release. If it was a console game,
where it comes with a cartridge or disc where you CANNOT UPDATE anymore, then
that's where you complain.
Kids.
