You know that's impossible. You can't lay out candy and say "Just don't eat that". People are gonna eat it. They'll also say they edited the config files, but they didn't. Then they'll ask for more candy.
I'm actually enjoying my Collector-less game so far. Using the Transmutation Tablet is a crucial choice and cost now! Still not sure if I'll go for the Relay or Condenser yet, I'm not really finding a need for them so far, but I'm still in the infrastructure build-up phase of my game.
I thought of a way to re-balance this mod. Split the Matter Lock into a Mineral Lock and an Organic Lock. Then split the current Klein Stars into different types that only store EMC from a single type of material Lock and make the universal Klein Star be much higher tier. Then power items will be associated with a particular type of EMC and only search for those items and the appropriate Klein Star sub-type or the universal Star to fuel its abilities. This prevents one from abusing IC2 Pumpkin farms or Forestry to pump out dozens of Diamonds from such an easily renewable resource before actually advancing up the tech tree.
I havn't had any trouble doing just that. If the game becomes boring once you have a large unlimited source of EMC, then it logically in your best interest to change your behavior in a way that you don't have that large unlimited source. Such as only using 1 relay in any collector group. Not using a KS in the tablet, but only as a fuel source. Or similar.
If I had to point to one thing that might be imbalanced, it would be the part of condensers being able to break down anything that is placed inside them and turn them into raw EMC. Early on this means being able to just feed everything into a condenser to get diamonds or iron regardless of what is put in, making the initial stages faster (especially when paired with a mod that automatically harvests). If condensers could only work on raw EMC, then you would need atleast a relay to get a similar effect, increasing the cost of that ability considerably. For those who want the same function, you could add an upgraded version of a condenser which also breaks down materials to use in its own local battery, but at a higher cost per machine.
Removing the ability for the tablet to just burn up stacks of items without any conversion would also slow things down further. You could even add in various upgrades to the placed tablet, and limiting its energy storage capability (with excess vanishing or manifesting as something bad) unless upgraded... And keeping a similar limitation (if maybe a little higher) always present on the portable version.
Why not just suggest a system that allows the player to choose the difficulty of EE, Eg easy would be equivlent exchange as it is. normal would split up the types of matter into sub-groups and hard would go further as to say more limitations on the player maybe nerfing or completely disabling condensers?
Just finished my texture for the Battery Box for Redpower Machines and I am quite proud of it. So much so that I want to show it off...
Unfortunately overall progress on redpower is still in the beginning stages... Eloraam's textures are amazing and I want mine to be every bit as such as well!
What texture pack are you using? I've seen that bedrock texture before but the name of the texture pack is at the tip of my tongue
FAQ
The following are frequently asked questions and the answers to them: Q: "TMI doesn't work".
A: You'll see 3 sets of cover plates and no wires in TMI. This is normal!
The wires you are looking for are using damage values above 15, which TMI
cannot read.
I've searched 5 times and I haven't found the patch. Why do you tell us there is a patch but not were to obtain it?
In fact, that was going to be my next step, actually using mcpatcher itself to install everything. The reason I hadn't yet was because of the instructions that a person had provided. They explicitly said that the files were just copied over. I tried every combination of that sort with weird and bad effects. What you are showing was the only alternative left, even though it didn't match what I had been told.
Thank you for sharing that and clearing it up for us! Do you mind if I use that picture? Did you make it?
Thanks!
I don't mind at all. I did Make it, it only took 3 minutes to make. Glad I could help.
However; nadine says that HD Texturescan work with Cubic Worlds, she even includes one with mcpatcher in her ModernCraft City pack. Unfortunately I still haven't been able to get that to work for some reason. As soon as I do I will add a Tutorial to my Higher Worlds thread. :smile.gif:
* So there is still hope that you won't have to go back to Vanilla to enjoy your HD Textures! :smile.gif:
I despise snow and completely agree with you. It ruins the landscape. When the snowing update came out, it completely destroyed a big city I had built in a creative flat map. I couldn't do anything about it.
Put large pane of glass across the top of the map.
You can make traps, hidden doors, logic gates.
You can control the flow of water and lava with pistons. You can do an impressive amount of things
with just a piston.

I hope you know that the Golden Chestplate runs out. It ran out the first time I attempted the Red Wool Fortress (I blew a hole in the side, let 10 Ghasts out, and then fought them off without any arrows. e_e)
It has never done that for me you must have accumulated HUGE amount of damage to break it.
I attempted to get into the Red Wool Fortress to show people my strategy of nullifying it, accidentally got shot out of the cannon I built previously, landed on MY OWN LAVA SPA ON TOP OF THE FORTRESS while carrying 27 blocks of Cyan Wool, and lost it.
:|
This is what happens when you get overconfident; you get shot out of a cannon, into your own lava spa, and die horribly.

I'm just going to wait for the 7th Super Hostile map.
You should have used the golden armor. though getting through was still almost impossible for me.
Well I've tryed hosting a server my self it seems to be impossible. :sad.gif:
I wish notch wouldn't make minecraft servers so resource intensive
Why doesn't he just send all the region files to the client.
and when there's a change in one of the regions,
it sends that change back to the server and sends it to the other clients when they reach that region.

Or a larger amount makes a loud electrical humming noise.

you mean winrar you can use 7zip which is free to open it.

The map has no download requirements no mods are needed.
