Feb 7, 2013I love this mod but I have an issue. When using a macro with $$p (I think) for an online player, the list comes up with the players' display names. My teleport plugin needs player names, not display names. Is there a way to switch the list to use playernames instead of displaynames?Posted in: Minecraft Mods

Can someone test this ip: 192.168.0.5:25565
That is your local ip. If you want to know the ip that anyone in the world can use to join your server, google "what is my ip address?" Also, you have to forward port 25565 to your local ip to do this.

I've realized that for the first 10 seconds as the 'CameraMan' is recording, there seems to be no lagg (at least for me). Eventually, the cameraman keeps refreshing the chunks, which causes me incredible lag.
I did a test film of 20 minutes, sped up to x20. After a 20 minutes (at least I think it was 20 minutes), I checked out the footage and even though there appeared to be no lagg, I saw that the chunks constantly kept getting refreshed.
Is this maybe an OptiFine thing, or the fact the the CameraMan causes lag?
Also, during the filming, I decided to Open Lan to see if that would decrease the lag. It did (slightly), but I was barely able to move.
This test was on my Macbook Pro, which of course isn't the best thing to play Minecraft on, but since my computer has handled where worst things before, I decided to test out filming. Those were the results /\
Hope there are performance improvements in the future
On my iMac the cameraman refreshes the chunks constantly! I don't have optifine though, so it must have something to do with the mac's video drivers. Here's a link to a video that shows what I mean. http://www.mediafire.com/?nn102cm6uet85co I tried to do a time lapse of me building and I stopped it to check on how it was working. This was the result.

Excellent idea, love the quality work that appears to have gone into this mod. I am having a problem, though which doesn't seem to have been encountered by many others. I have installed the WorldEdit CUI mod as the install.txt file instructed, but when I use world edit to make a selection I don't see any of the GUI stuff. What could be causing this?
I am having a similar problem. I installed the mod with Modloader (and I did it correctly, trust me), and it worked fine the first time I ran minecraft. I joined my server and selected stuff with the wand and the visual selection appeared like it should. Once I quit the minecraft and opened it again, the selection no longer appeared like it should. The chat message appeared saying something like "first point selected at xx yy zz" or whatever, but the visual selection is not there.

No to turn the torch off you have to power the block the torch is placed on.
Quote from Faielyn
Yes, if a redstone wire points into a block then it powers the block, this can also be accomplished if a repeater points into the block. Though you have to power the redstone to toggle the torch. If the redstone wire is powered the torch on the block is off and the door would close.

Place a torch underneath the block under the door and then power the block the torch is on. A way to do it from one switch would be to run a wire down the middle of the hall under the floor and just branch it off to each torch.
I'm still learning all the redstone tricks, so connecting a wire to a redstone torch can turn it on and off?
Apr 4, 2012I have a hallway with about 10 iron doors on each side. They are separated by a few blocks each. I would love it if there was a way to open them all using a single switch, with the wiring below the hallway. I started the wiring but quickly realized that wires below the doors wouldn't open them.Posted in: Redstone Discussion and Mechanisms
So is there any way to "daisy chain" iron doors from below?
Here's the hallway:
Obviously the switches and the holes in the floor will be removed once the wiring's done.
