Just found this in the source code of Eloraam.com, the tease image's description is:

"Mysterious, dark, echoing hallways extend into the distance to the left and right. The air is stale. A torch flickers."

    How interesting...

You can also just mouseover the image and see that, too.

Personally, I'm considering to stop using/waiting for RedPower. I do not want to be in this situation again, waiting for a vaporware mod with an unresponsive developer. And I'm convinced that I'm not the only user about to vote with one's feet.

Well, nobody is forcing you to wait on it. I don't know why you feel you have to let everyone know you're not waiting anymore. You just stop waiting. It's not gonna be like 'Stop the presses! Booterman is giving up'.

It's probably for the best, though I don't doubt people will flock right back to it when it finally comes out. If you people stopped checking the thread obsessively and just took a peek once a month or something, it'd be out before you knew it.

Then those suggesting that they would clone your mod would do exactly that and you would be forgotten, except for a few who knew you personally.

I'm not saying it is right, or respectful, or the best end to the scenario. What I am saying is that is the most likely end.

Yeah, I know. Just the downright meanness of these frustrated people, mad that they aren't getting their free mod fast enough, makes it seem like that's almost desirable. Let someone else deal with the burden... I hope Eloraam doesn't see it that way.

Some of the stuff in this thread just astounds me.

If I made a mod like this, then got too busy to work on it, and eventually came back and read some of this crap, I'd just shake my head, delete the source and go about my life without minecraft. Too much vehemence in every other post, and then you have all these barked orders on what you should or shouldn't do. Would be better off just not dealing with it if ten thousand strangers are going to make that much demands on you.

Anyway, I hope Eloraam takes her time and doesn't get pressured by ETAs or anything. I don't care if it's released or not.

Finally, somebody with some sense. The impatient, greedy and entitled people in this thread just remind me how disgusting the MC community can be. With what we've I've seen from people whining, complaining and demanding progress, I'd never distribute any mod I made. Someone spends their free time to make and distribute an extremely useful mod for a popular game, and they're rewarded with gossiping, stalking, harassment and practically being chased off the internet.

Not to mention the even weirder public speculations about medical conditions. That's extremely inappropriate.

I'm in the same boat as you, Yurei, if and when it gets released, cool. If not? Well, I know people get busy and I sure as heck wouldn't be wanting to spend all my limited free time on a large, complex project if my work hours were anything like what Elo's are rumored to be in this thread.

I have been able to get redstone to work correctly, but it doesn't actually render the changes sometimes. Like, the iron door will seem to be stuck open, but when triggered off, it will shut even though it won't render-client side. If you run into the block you just get knocked back at the edge repeatedly as the client corrects your position based on what the server is reporting -- even though it still shows the open door. Flip the switch again, and it 'opens', even though still the door state doesn't appear to change, you can walk through it.

Sometimes it works perfectly, that seems to mostly be on 'virgin ground'; An area where you haven't had any other levers, switches, torches, or wires attached to any block in the area before setting up your circuit.
