I like the idea, but it doesn't fit the feel of minecraft that most people like.
However, I can see this as a successful mod, maybe used with industrialcraft or something like that.
Btw, nice crafting pattern idea.

So, lately I've been encountering some problems with Minecraft version 1.6 Sometimes I would come across some large pits while playing. They look like this:
Is this a rendering issue? It looks like it. It's not player-made, because I can't fall in. And sometimes when I go back to spawn using "/spawn", I just keep jumping up and down, and somethings haven't loaded. Help?
Looks like a chunk error to me. I'd suggest you relog, that usually fixes it for me.
May 22, 2011archori posted a message on [16x][WIP] RUSTON [v1.5.1] <A new pack that shows promiseFirst of all, awesome pack. I do have a few suggestions, but I advise you don't take them too seriously. I'm a bit of a perfectionist critic.Posted in: Resource Packs
2 packs I like:
B3holder's AWESOME pack: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/110471-16x16-awesome-texture-pack-updated-apr-21st/
DSB's DOKU remix: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/176834-32x-doku-dsbremix-v154-beta-15-01-30-april-2011/
Why I like these packs: the colors on the blocks are lively, but not so colorful that it makes it look like a rainbow vomited upon them. In the DSB's DOKU remix, the paintings are not default, which I really like. Unfortunately, with the AWESOME pack I'm stuck with the default. Both of these texture packs have really, really good sandstone and sand textures. I can't stand the default sand. I also like how the ores and any of the plants look. The default pack makes the wheat look horrible to me, I like the wheat to be a nice golden yellow.
Packs I don't like:
Pretty much all of them. The main reason being that any of the dirt, sand, gravel, stone, cobble textures just don't look right. A lot of the time I see really faded coloring of them, and sometimes the coloring is way too vivid. I'm a Goldilocks when it comes to the coloring of the natural stuff.
Anyways, the main thing I can't stand with your pack is the dirt, which looks very, very faded to me. It just seems to make the world look dead... (on a side-note, I'm not really talking about the surface. I'm currently working on an underwater biodome in which dirt deposits keep showing up in the sides and floor of.)
EDIT: I forgot to mention this, but I am getting green water. Which looks absolutely horrible. I used a patcher for one of my HD texture packs, I'm thinking this might be the issue.
Apr 6, 2011I'd just like to say that the black hole seems to have disappeared since the explosion... yeah. that's pretty much it. I'll try to report if I have any more related problems near this area of the map.Posted in: Legacy Support
Apr 6, 2011Ok, so I was just walking through a forest, minding my own business. I had previously known of this one "black hole" area under a tree, where the blocks were completely dark/black/shaded/whatever... anyways, I had seen some skeletons hanging out there prior to the event so I figured I was safe going there. The first step I took into the darkness, BOOM... and I"m dead. My question... did a creeper just come up behind me, or can they be invisible in or near black holes? I checked the area around it... maybe it jumped off a tree to get me.Posted in: Legacy Support
Apr 5, 2011about $21. Depends on the exchange rate between... I think it's in pounds. and dollars. But the prices aren't in dollars.Posted in: Discussion
I don't think that mod is finished.
And there isn't a demo. At least not an official one. If there is, please let me know... oh wait, I already bought it. Nvm.
Apr 4, 2011Posted in: DiscussionQuote from Mclinsky »Why do i get the feeling that this is some kind of devious plan by Herobrine to kill me?
Probably because of the whole fire part. I'm sure that when you wake up, you'll taste nice and smoky for Herobrine's dinner.
Apr 3, 2011Posted in: DiscussionQuote from Eslake »The point of them spawning on foliage on FAST setting only applies to SSP.
On SMP, the spawn code assumes FAST is always on. So on Multiplayer - creepers can, and Do (very much) spawn in trees.
In fact.. my personal observation is that foliage is like a Spawn Booster for creepers.
Try planting 120 or so trees in close proximity on SMP, use torches to get them all packed in tightly, then watch the tops at night from a safe distance. You'll see what I mean.
I would do that, but I think you are secretly trying to get me killed... JK. If I set the graphics from FAST to FANCY will this problem vanish for me?

I can barely move around my base with 3 of them. I keep accidentally hurting them whenever I go to open a door...
Anyways, you could go fight a bunch of 's until they all die.
You can right click doors open, you know. >_>
oh yeah.... I can.... hmmm.... maybe. just maybe. it's a habit formed thing for me though.
Quote from Parapraxis »Also, wolves won't attack creepers so they actually do have some brains. :tongue.gif:
With that many wolves following you.... and in a such a way that you couldn't move... if you got near a creeper, it'd probably kill like 20 of them. Whether they attack it or not, the creeper can still explode when it's near you.
And I still think wolves don't have enough brains.... running and jumping into lava, off cliffs, into cacti, etc.
