How experienced are you with skyblock: Messed around in singleplayer, built a cobble generator, house, farm, mobtrap
Why do you want to join this server?: Your spawn looks amazing and I want to try out a new style of multiplayer
Have you read the rules and realize that any griefing or stealing AT ALL is logged with the logblock plugin and you will be banned if it is reported?: I do realize this, and it makes me happy. If I became a member, I would want my stuff protected.Minecraft Username / IGN: Archori

Is Bukkit being removed from the gravel plan? I would love to get a higher plan to support you guys, but half my server quit... I'm pretty much funding it myself. I was just browsing the plans today and saw the asterisk.

    First Week review:

wow. Just wow. Awesome host so far for $6.50 a month, I honestly hope to upgrade my plan just so I can reward them for their patience with me in support. Lag so far seems to be much better than with the old Brohoster server my friends and I had, and the support is phenomenally better.

    On the whole support thing:
Currently, it would be worth getting a server here just for the support. Live support is on almost ALL the time, and there is almost never a queue. I almost hope they don't get more customers - the support at Brohoster was always bogged down due to the sheer amount of servers they had to help with. Of course, I also want this company to do well, and I would definitely be willing to give up some of the premium support for that to happen.

    First Week summary:
:Diamond: :Diamond: :Diamond: :Diamond: :Diamond: 5/5

Awesome host, awesome value, awesome support, almost no lag. Go with this host.

posted a message on Compact passive mob grinder?
    Quote from mdgates

Hello, everyone. I've been working on a passive mob system in the sky above my base. My goal is to build something small enough that it's easy to hide, perhaps inside an airship or airplane. The problem is, output is very low right now, even at night. There is some grass within 9 chunks, but not much, as it's mostly desert and ocean.

I'd really like to hear from someone who has a successful, compact passive mob system before I go to the trouble of TNT'ing all the nearby grass.

Unfortunately I have no experience building compact mob grinders at all. the only thing I can think of doing would be to farm a LOT of currently grassy land, instead of blowing it up with TNT.

While I don't like the possibility of a lack of LP videos, or public performance videos, I still think the law is an ok thing, because it protects people who create content. I think it would be a good law if they just re-think it.

well, it's a hard thing to do. You could fill in the area of the tunnel with sand to the surface, getting rid of the water above it. then you can remove all the sand up to edges and build on dry land. Only problem is that it's gonna be hard to fill the water back in above it. For my glass tunnel, I swum down, dug a couple blocks, got more air, and repeated lots and LOTS of times, and then I constructed the tunnel under the water. Don't worry about removing the water until you are finished, the water sources are only on the surface of lakes and oceans. When you have finished the tunnel, find a way to block water from flowing in and PRESTO! you have an underwater glass tunnel.

Ok, sounds good. I'll map the worlds as soon as I can, but I need the downloads. If it isn't within the next 45 minutes or so, the next time I will be able to do it is about 4 hours from now.

I can check it with cartographer in 1-2 hours as long as I can figure out how to get your world into my saves file

Hmmm.... I liked the one with the dangerous cave exploring, and I also... hmmm... well, the fist episode was pretty interesting.

But really, the danger of it is the best part to read.(Sorry for screwing everyone over by confirming that from the audience. :biggrin.gif:)

I would love to try this out if I wasn't so busy during all of June... but I just want to say that it is fun to read your logs, and I hope this continues at the same pace.

My suggestion: "Due to recent budget cutbacks, the 67th Pew Pew Infantry may have to either reduce supply to Upsilonia or lay off anywhere from 2 to 6 of the soldiers(?) stationed there."

That way you can continue, have 2 more people join, and make the game a bit harder in the next round due to supply concerns. :biggrin.gif:
