I have ran into this problem too yesterday. I installed the mine craft server on my Windows 8.1 x64 rig and got the server up and running fine. Later I saw I have a 32 bit Java and removed that and installed the latest Java8U20 for the rig. Server comes up fine and runs fine set to -Xms4G -Xmx6G
We are able to play for a while then some people get disconnected with that error. After some troubleshooting I can report the following. I hardly ever get kicked off, don't know if it is because I use a mac or am the administrator so we went on troubleshooting, but the error kept happening.
I then installed the mine craft server on my mac (nothing changed on the users computers connecting to the server). Since I am running it on the mac we have not had that error happen again. I would however like to get the server running properly on my Windows 8.1 rig as it is a lot more powerful than my mac.
