He was the first to critique that texture, but I am the sole maker of it. Sorry to bother you with such a silly matter, but it's the only texture I have tried.

If you look again, I posted the image with a link and he replies saying that I should make the leaves rounder and lighten it up. Once again very sorry to bother you and you don't have to change it until the next batch you throw in.

Edit: it is on page 34

Just wanted to point out the jungle leaf is by me and, to others, I really have been procrastinating on working on it :/ Guess I better work on it now since I went ahead and mentioned it...

Not bad not bad...Kinda look like tongue's almost xD And if anything, In-game there are some pixels that do look a bit funny. Something I'd suggest is do get some of the lighter colors in there. Its really shady and dark. Also, shorten the leaves just a tad, and round the leaves a bit more instead of the triangular shape they have now. Just my suggestion on my thoughts. You may get some other suggestions or do your own thing, and thats fine :)

with the lighter tones It is bit more balance demanding because of the green shade in the rain forest biome. I still feel bad for reusing one leaf over and over. Only work a total of an hour or two on it so I understand its problems. I may end up putting a berry sort of thing in there for a closer to vanilla look. If all goes well It may be well for me to at least try the sapling. Anyone else's critique is welcome!

The way I meant "how Ovo would want" was mostly referring the statement that if you take a brief look at a similar item or texture in the main pack you should have a faint thought of maybe "Judging by his obsidian and wool, the gui for enchanting could be a bit of an agglomeration of fine silk-like cloth draped over this crude, foreboding black crystal" or "with the way his creeper is a creature almost like a giant zombie insect, the giant spiders would have a similar look that makes it appear the exoskeleton joints or almost bursting from not having much support for a bug as large as this," And I do understand not everything has a common "cousin" that was originally textured, but a large portion does if you look close enough"

Yes those are poor examples, but as I stated previously, I'm no artist or visionary. I'm merely throwing out my views at a group of hungry wolves to bide me time before they are at mine own throat. I'm using default and going ahead with doing prereleases, because I know it's difficult to get even one decent texture if you are doing it right.I will, however, put all my virtual support into a chance at doing his pack some justice and will use it once enough main textures -and good looking at that- are completed. Always remember that if you can only say "good enough" everyone else will be glad to say "this sucks," Take your time and don't feel like there is a deadline to meet -in the somewhat near future, that is-.

    P.S. I like the tilde ~~Anti~~

This may be a bit harsh to some, but some of you that are trying to just get the textures done aren't really helping by having what I'll put nicely as "cut-copy-paste-save" textures. What I mean is I want you took take a good look at almost every one of the original textures that have any vague co-existence with what you're trying to texture and see if it really fits. What I did on my fail of a run making jungle leaves was repeatedly zoom out and in on the other leaves to see if the flow and shading meshes with what Ovo would want. Sure I'm what seems like barking orders and doing nothing myself, but that's just because I can see the potential in a lot of you to do something that would truly feel like what Ovo would have wanted. If you DO think you finished a texture, look again and again until you are sure it can at the very least look presentable enough for a once over by the other members of the continuation here. This isn't about who gets the most textures or who can make their own versions drastically different from the core.

Hate to have to say this to the many people on here that might one day be an amazing artist ~Anti

I think I might attempt the leaves with my poor wittle mouse so it may take a bit (and by that I mean a while)

Those slime balls are really shaping up nicely along with most all of the other textures. Glad I put my input in it really helped a lot. I think a smidge more noise wouldn't hurt :tongue.gif:

Also Pinky is is a fierce texturing animal. Wish I had the initiative like him :tongue.gif:

Would it be too complex to make your vines stop growind when cut by a shear or something? Just throwing out there a chance to deal with the gripe that the grow so much when you don't always want it to have to be trimmed (expecially when it's on a block very out of reach)
    Just an idea

I edited the bars from Jake Von to make them look more like iron and gold. I'm not 100% sure about them, Tell me what you think of them. (they look beter in-game!)

Don't use the JPEG, use the PNG from imageshack

I wonder what it would look like if it had a bit more character with the swirls like Ovo's wildgrass and rails?
    Otherwise great retouch

I made a better looking slimeball. I tried to make it look rough around the edges, tell me if it looks good (or otherwise :wink.gif: ).

I was thinking that I should maybe make it completely (or at least more) smooth. But it looks good in-game!

anyway you could make the inside a bit rougher in pixelation just so it's not glassy, but at the same time smooth the edges a bit? Really like the two-tone green :biggrin.gif:

At this point of having no hope with the thousands of 16x textures clogging up the texture forum I really only care that this community work finishes all the textures.

I can, however, say for the beef texture it would be a bit nicer at an angle or something so it isn't so abnormal.

And for the slimeballs I agree both seem a bit clean and like rubber balls -maybe have them more unshaped and with alternate green coloured swirls within.

Since they are smaller textures I may try doing just the hearts and maybe the bubbles, but no promises.

not to be a whiney Whitney, but will there be a building material alternate to lapis in the customizer sometime in the future? If you really don't want to work a lot on it, I suggest using the nether bricks as a base. Glad to see the quaint texture pack of yesteryore chugging along in popularity and amzing artwork. THANKS OVO!

Could you please make a version for 1.8 if it isn't too hard for you? It's just that 1.9 pre-release is not as stable as 1.8 and also 1.9 doesn't have any mods yet (mostly)...
    Thanks in advance.

When a texture pack shows what patch it is compatible for, it more than 80% of the time it works with every previus patch. No change needed.
