posted a message on [1.16.1] Barbecue Mod

Hi, I'm Doctor Moonbad, and I'm not a real Doctor.

Welcome to Barbecue's work-in-progress page. Here you can ask questions, make suggestions and know more about this mod.

Barbecue is a mod about a set of Blocks called "Cells" that can generate resources passively, without costs, in a sloppy manner: they basically pop out from the top of the cells, and more, they have a little random touch to them. The original intent of the mod was to use it as an alternative to more costly options such as the ones in Environmental Tech and Project E.

As you can guess, they aren't easy to craft, and because their yields are fairly random, and also take quite some time to generate anything, this is what makes them balanced, but of course, they aren't unfair. There are 5 types of cells:

    • Coal Cell
    • Iron Cell
    • Gold Cell
    • Emerald Cell
    • Diamond Cell

And each one of them can yield the respective resources:

    • Dirt Block, Cobblestone, Coal Ore.
    • Cobblestone, Coal Ore, Iron Ore.
    • Coal Ore, Iron Ore, Gold Ore.
    • Iron Ore, Gold Ore, Emerald Ore.
    • Gold Ore, Emerald Ore, Diamond Ore.

As you can see, each cell upgrades the possible resources, making them much better over time: the resources mentioned first for each cell have a 25% chance of spawning, while the ones mentioned second will only spawn if the first fails to spawn, and a chance of 50% passes. The last and most valuable resource also spawns only if the two other ones fail to spawn.

Here are some screenshots of the mod on Imgur: https://imgur.com/a/3dcZYui

A download link will soon be provided for testing after I receive some criticism here on the forums, so make sure to post your thoughts.

    Hey there, Moonbad Here.

I've been out for several weeks because of my charger. I accidentally left it far way from where I'm studying. I'll resume the development today.

Also, although the bugs have been fixed, keep in mind that these fixes will only be implemented on the next version.

    As always, thank you all.

    Hey there, Moonbad Here.

The script for the next version is almost complete, and while I was working on it, I also discovered a few bugs that the current version (Alpha 0.0.2) has:

    • It is impossible to obtain the Monocrystalline Redstone.
    • The Magimagnet's recipe doesn't get loaded by the game.

These bugs should be already solved on the next version. That's all I have to tell you all, for now.

    Thank you for playing!

EDIT: The bugs have been fixed.

    Update [#02]: v. Alpha 0.0.2 for Minecraft Forge 1.12.2

    Hey there, Moonbad Here.

This version added a bunch of new materials, and a new re-usable tool, the Magimagnet, also a new Sword and a new Consumable.

    - The Grazodian Blade I is an upgraded version of the Terrametal Blade. It is 5 times more durable, 13.34 % more enchantable and deals 2 additional points of damage. There's a 10% chance of dealing 2 points of burning damage to the target over time, and also a 5% chance of receiving a Monster Soul when killing an Entity.

    - The Monster Soul is a new special consumable. It only restores 1 point of hunger and saturation, but inflicts Regeneration I for 1.5 seconds and Absorption 5 for 0.5 seconds.

Note that some items can still be unobtainable due to me forgetting to code something on the mod. Yes, I know, it happens sometimes, although quite rarely.

And, that's all I can remember. Thanks again, and I see you ... on the next update!

    Hey there, Moonbad Here.

The textures, models and item names for the next version are already finished. The only thing that remains not done yet are the crafting recipes and the new features of the next Sword. That's all I have to say, for now.

Thank you for playing my Mod!

    State of the Mod [#01]:

    Hey there, Moonbad Here.

I've been quite busy these days and I couldn't update the Mod, because of how tired I am, although I already could finish 90% of the textures for this next version. The next update may come Thursday this week, so do not worry.

    Thank you for playing!

Edit: I couldn't update the mod today. I'll have most of it finished tomorrow.

    Update [#01]: v. Alpha 0.0.1 for Minecraft Forge 1.12.2

    Hey there, Moonbad Here.

This version added a couple more materials, changed some recipes and added 2 new important items: the Magisorbio and the Magisoli Crystals.

    - The Magisorbio Crystal is an Item that slowly absorbs any Dirt Blocks present in your inventory, up to 192 of them. When the maximum capacity is reached, it's charge is used and the player receives a Gaia's Jewel, which can be used as a fuel as strong as Coal.

    - The Magisoli Crystal is quite the opposite of the Magisorbio Crystal, it creates Dirt Blocks. Basically, when the player enters a area where the light level is greater than 8, the Crystal slowly charges. When the charge reaches 35 units, the Crystal consumes all the charges and rewards the player with a Dirt Block (quite the lame prize huh?).

Using those two items, the players can literally build a little automatic fuel generator inside their inventories.

That's all I have to say, for now. See you... in the next Update!

Welcome to the Grazodia Mod's original thread!

Here you can read everything about the Mod, write some suggestions, criticisms and ideas for future updates.

This Mod consists in making a use of everything which is useless, partially useless, or simply things that the player usually ends up having in excess, such as Dirt Blocks, Cobblestone and et cetera...

The current version (Alpha 0.0.21) has already implemented:

      • 3 new Blocks:
        • 2 Building Blocks
        • 1 Ore

      • 20 new Items:
        • 2 Unique use Items
        • 1 Crafting Tool
        • 2 Fuel Items
        • 12 Crafting Materials
        • 1 Consumable
        • 2 Unique Swords

Here's a video showing some early testing of the mod a long time ago:

You can test the current version of the mod by downloading the file from my google drive account:

Both links go to the exact same .jar file, but one of them is advertised as mentioned above. Click on the advertised link if you want to financially support this mod. Every generous click generates about 1/10 of a cent of a dollar, and it is very much appreciated. It also helps me see how many people are downloading it.

You can also take a look at the R.P.G. Mod I made for Terraria, called "D-MODE" or "Destiny Mode":
