hmmmm, good story, a bit more detail to the battles and the environment would make them infinitely better, but at times it is enjoyable to read something simple instead of a gargantuan detailed filled book.

i really would like to see where this story could go.

i would also like it if the bullet would ricochet off of certain surfaces, metal and diamond are the only two i can think of at the moment, but if it were possible to implement then i think it would be a great deal of fun, and add carefulness if you are to accidentally kill yourself by a stray bullet.

ever hear of a little something called... *dramatic pause for effect*

THE PYRAMIDS, or some other large or underground monument that was believed to be cursed and could work to the same effect as being a dungeon.

iv'e always secretly hoped that someone would make a smart and thought out gun suggestion that didn't sound something like "OMG GUNZZZZ!!!ONE!!!ELEVEN!!!!." thank you for meeting my expectations.

i always also thought that if implemented, guns should have two different models,

    1. like you've posted a flintlock with a more or less powerful shot that would be good two handle the common creeper accompanied by a skeleton or a zombie. and

    2. a shotgun/cannon. something that you could use for crowd control, that would weaken a group of ten zombies with skeletons following them, but that of course would be ammo expensive and would be inefficient in most other situations.(though of course this is just what i think.)

you know, i don't think people fully understand the range this suggestion has and just how good it can be.

the OP unfortunately does not tell the full scope of ideas and games this could bring. the following wall of text gives my point of view.

    1. blocks
    2. mobs
    3. trees
    4. map creation/mob spawning
    5. npc conversations/ actions
    6. preset cutscenes
    7. conclusion

    1. if this were implemented then the first and most obvious thing would be the control of blocks, they would be completely changeable, you could change if they could be mined or not, or if they have more resistance than now, or their texture pack, their would be a special option to give them different properties example

    blocks{stone{1.resistance:18%
    2. texture pack: idk
    3. mine-able: yes
    4. properties{ 1. flammable: no
    2. explosive: no
    3. musical: no
    4. gravity affected: yes
    5. ETC ETC ETC

this sort of control would allow a different enviroment in every scenario and would allow for more realistic things (like a place where you can't break stone with your hands) or a fantasy world (sort of like right now)

    2. this sort of interface would also allow you to change different mob behaviors or textures, and in the future it could even use the Mob Maker so that people can import their own creatures into their scenarios/games. example

    mobs{pig{1. behavior: neutral unless attacked
    2. texture pack: IDK
    3. spawns: grass, dirt, leaves.
    3. drops: redstone, or whatever
    4. properties{ 1. explosive: no
    2. underwater:no
    3. flies: HELL YEAH!!
    ETC ETC ETC

    3. and it would also give the player the ability to control the ways trees grow or what type of trees grow, (for lack of idea of how this would work I won't post an example) and also allow the creation of specialized building HUMAN mobs.

    4. this mod, (or hopefully implementation into the game) would also give you new camera angles (third person) and would give a tool to adjust entire biomes of land with a few clicks of a button, sort of like The Sims 2 allows you to manipulate the land (if you don't understand please watch a video of the sims 2). it would also have a enmy spawn option, so that you could choose to make mobs spawn at a certain place at a certain time in a certain number. and therefore add an RPG like gameplay.

    5. it would also allow you to manipulate the things you can say to npc humans. with special options that would connect certain (preset) conversations to actions. example

You: 1. hello there trader, may i buy some items
    2. give me your money. *leads to him becoming hostile*
    3. could i help you *leads to him giving you quest*

trader: (if you chose the first) why yes, what would you like.

at this point in the conversation a chest would open up this being the traders inventory

    you: *click on iron sword*

trader: ok please give me X amount of coins.

you: *put X amount of coins in the traders inventory*

trader: here you go *iron sword falls out*

of course this sort of chat would not be strict to this, you could change what you say and how you say it, and of course what happens, the trader could for example, instead of give you a sword after you pay him, rob you and run away.

    6. and you would be given a special cinematic recording option so that you can make cutscenes and then implement them into the game. for example you are talking to a girl, you say a lot of nice things to her. her preset conversation options will begin to change and eventually a *kiss* option will appear. when you click it. it will go to a cutscene of you making out with her (or at least you getting close to her and appearing to kiss.) which would change your relations ship with her in a certain way.

and there would be area activated cutscenes which would activate if you are to walk into a certain room, or piece of land. for example you are in a giant dungeon, you find a large room with a treasure chest. but the moment you open the chest however it goes to a cutscene, in this cutscene the entire room shakes and a giant skeleton (or whatever) stomps into the room, you then leave the cutscene and battle this boss mob.

    7. of course the majority of scenarios would not be like this and would be simple and downright stupid. but there would be three or four which would use all of these ideas and be completely wonderful, and action packed and passionate. just like an RPG. but better because ANYONE can make one.

i think that would actually be kind of cool, if not annoying. besides the part where you have no idea what you've been doing.

it would be kind of like the hangover, except you didn't drink, or party, or steal a tiger, or marry a stripper... or even take roofies for that matter. in fact whats happening to you completely sucks. but this is completely beside the point.

awesome story, but i'm pretty sure vera is an demon/ghost who will die when spike kills the ghast's and fulfills his task ordered by evil joe/wraith. i would've really liked to see a giant LOTR style kobold vs human battle. but thats just me.

    - About Seige Weaponry, I really dislike the trebuchet, catapult and most of the others, except the ballista we already have everything we need, ballistas and ladders (unless they make a decent walls) what else can we ask for? (retorical question, anwser and beware)

what about a battle-ram, it would be awesome to see my archers aim directly for a giant log with a metal head, plus it adds strategy to sieges

on another note, i think that for all things like Ballistas, Trebuchet, and Rams (if added) should be handled by an engineer, which would just be a guy who controls mechanical equipment.

i actually really like this idea, being able to download different scenarios such as a Castle siege. or a zombie invasion or just a plain city with npcs that will ask you to do quests. it would be a fun edition to see such an editor once adventure mode is released.

posted a message on Trees Regenerate After Fire
while this is cool and adds a tone of realism to the game, what if you want to make a garden or you are setting the leaves on fire to chop down the wood.?

you want to make a garden, so you chop down some leaves, and a seedling falls out. You go to grab it, BUT instead it is absorbed into the ground and turns into a tree, conclusion: it would make it impossible to grab seedlings.

now you are using the fire method to chop down trees. you set the trees on fire and start chopping, but after a minute or so, the entire ground is covered in seeds, miles and miles around nothing but seedlings.

this would also make it possible to make unpassable forest's which technically mean that the amount of seeds right next to each other make a giant wall of wood that makes passing improbable unless if you own a dozen diamond axes.

(really good idea, but is there a solution to the above problems?)

Do not like. I'd prefer the challenge of having to find a new egg at some point, hence the creature should be able to die somehow even in the mount phase.

if i go to all the effort of getting a mount i do not want it to be destroyable it ruins the fun

it would get even more boring just having it lay an egg, finding a new nest encourages players to explore minecraft.

(just saying, not trying to trash what you said)

im not completely against guns, but only if we were to take out the archer class and replace it with guns, and make guns soooooo completely inaccurate that the only way to actually kill anything would be to use groups of musketeers.

an alternation for this could be... dare I say it. "tech trees"

which of course would mean that you can upgrade certain units, lumberjacks chop 15% percent faster if you give 1000 coins to the techtree placewhatchamacallit and , and you could upgrade archers for musketeers if you give them the weapon as well as a raise of 200 coins. and other such things. it would give the coin more value.

BUT if a techtree were implemented it would need a new interface and so many other implementations that would make it in impractical, so yeah thats my two cents, would anyone care to expand.
