But you wait, I have some great ideas in mind, if only I knew how to work with CTM without texture sheets...
Maybe I could post my textures here and someone could fix them with CTM?
another question: How do I use these? I remember better leaves being in
Optifine or Shaders mod, now that they're one it's gone.
And those item stacks look neat, but I have no idea how to use them (I haven't even seen such mod)
The pathways look awesome, but I still have no idea how to use them.
The item stacks and leaf textures require MCPatcher in order to show up, but MCPatcher hasn't been updated to 1.8.8 yet.
The pathway blocks are only available when using the latest Minecraft Snapshot.

I have my own version of Derivation too and I'll be posting things I've edited/made here, if needed.
Yes, the obsidian could use some ctm, it has a rather repetetive pattern, although I tried to get rid of it.
By the way, I noticed that banner colors and shapes don't work on derivation for some reason, but copying the entire entities/banners folder from Faithful32 to Derivation, the issue seems to be fixed. The texture under the colors is still the derivation one.
I've edited some textures to contribute to the pack. I'd like to help more, but I don't have much time now, maybe in the future.
An edited diamond sword, it no longer has that fat feel to it, rather it looks a bit like a claymore.
The old obsidian texture, edited a bit by me. I think it was way better.
Those look amazing! I'd love to include these in my unofficial update of the pack, if that's okay with you (it's a temporary update until 1.9 comes out, when JetStorm will review the textures and decide what's to be included). Also, I feel like the obsidian would be perfect for CTM textures-I can make variants with less lava in the cracks in order to break it up a bit.

That's odd, in the version of the pack I downloaded (V1.0), there are no item textures for horse armor, except for iron horse armor. Is the download link posted in the OP outdated, or am I missing something?

Anyway, I thought that this thread was only for survival worlds because it's in the "Survival Mode" category of the forums.
How did you create that?
Regardless, it's still amazing and somewhat reminiscent of this render:
It's been fun to play through in survival and see how each new change or addition I make adds to the game.
I'll update the download once I create/modify even more textures, I'm currently working on finishing the mob variants and horse armor items (and hopefully create an armor stand texture, but that's one I've been avoiding due to my lack of texturing skill).
Although I'm no pixel artist, I know my way around Photoshop and I'll take a shot at creating some of the missing textures.
This is quite possibly my favorite resource pack, and it would be terrible to see it die.
I'll post updates as I create the textures.

I dont even know how to upvote your comment anymore. I'm used to the old forums (and the old minecraft). I just still check the main page every here and then in case if minecraft is making a comeback to something 2011-ish. Lately with Jeb all of these ideas suck... I mean can we add fish or birds? (Nah, lets add a dungeon guardian.)
I completely agree; after watching the intro and seeing his icon in the corner I genuinely thought it was going to be a 12 year old...
Oh well, at least a couple of the things that he mentioned were useful.
I totally agree. Anyone that currently owns Minecraft should get this game for free. Also, having it on steam just made me not want to buy it at all, because of all the stupid in-game overlays with popup ads and notifications that cannot be disabled.
EDIT: So it seems that the game will require a high-end gaming computer just to be played. How ridiculous! 3GB of RAM for a point-and-click game? Also, why is it not recommended to play it with Intel Integrated Graphics, which is what most computers come with at the store? And why should I need over 3GB of storage space for the game? Is it going to be in full 3D with huge maps and HD textures? So many unanswered questions just about the specifications.
Also, in my needless opinion, this creator is far from being "the best builder ever" (which is a rather subjective title). Without meaning to sound too rude or cynical, most, if not all, of the work was done with MCEdit and WorldEdit, and the buildings appear to be hollow and devoid of interior decoration. For me at least, this takes away most of the "magic" and makes creations such as this far less impressive.
Again, sorry if this was overly rude, I don't mean to offend anyone.
