For the next few days you can pickup JOLICRAFT at 33% off in the summer sale for Minecraft Bedrock Edition (Windows 10, iOS, Android, xBox, Switch, Playstation, Amazon, Your Toaster). If you haven't gotten around to getting Jolicraft on your devices, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!?

(FYI, the Nether Update is coming to the bedrock version of Jolicraft VERY SOON. Microsoft is backlogged with their content approval at the moment.)

Could you try uploading that again? I re-downloaded and nothing is different.

Hmm. Don't know what happened there. Fixed.

Quick heads up, they're adding another new mob to 1.16 in an upcoming patch: the Piglin Brute. They'll probably be available in a snapshot pretty soon.

Here's a screenshot of that issue with the signs:

Signs are updated on the jolicraft.com version. I'll do the new piglin right away when it's out in the snapshot. Thanks again for your help :D

Thanks for your help. Would anyone still happen to have access to old customised versions of the pack? I'm most promenantly looking for alternate cobblestone and spruce leaves textures.

I have a zip of all the old alternate textures, get it here:

Sorry to put another issue on your plate but I noticed an issue with the banner patterns for shields. For whatever reason the transparency on those texture files in your pack was changed to black instead, which means that shields with banners only appear with the topmost pattern on a black background. Since you're just using the defaults for these (in the java version of the pack, at least) this should be a pretty easy fix. Just copy the default textures into the textures/entity/shield folder.

I just fixed the chests and uploaded the new version, give it a test.

I believe I fixed the banners in the last update. I just checked and they're working fine. They shouldn't be the default banners, they are the custom Jolicraft ones. Take a look and let me know if anything is amiss.

    Thanks for your notes!

Sent them via PM a couple of weeks ago but here's a link for anyone who wants to use the paintings while waiting for the pack to update:

Thanks so much for your helpful notes! Sorry for the delay, it took a long time to find the time to deal with those tedious chest & banner changes. Everything is fixed and available on the latest version at www.jolicraft.com. Enjoy everyone!

The tagline and panorama in the pack are still the ones from 1.14. Also, it looks like they broke transparency on paintings in this version:

I happened to unstitch the old ones myself for personal use a couple of weeks ago and I can send them to you if you'd like.

    Please do!

Hey, 1.15 is here, so I thought it might be helpful to post about some of the less obvious things that were added in the update, so the pack can be updated without any issues.

First of all, some new textures that are needed aside from the bee-related things:

-Instant health, instant damage, and saturation status effects now have icons when they're applied.

-Iron Golems now crack to indicate how damaged they are. This is done through a set of overlay textures.

Chest textures will be broken when you update the pack version in the pack.mcmeta file. This is because the way the texture is wrapped for chests is different now. You'll need to fix these textures to match how the default ones are set up.

You might have to do some editing to the ender dragon texture, as the patch notes mentioned that there's no longer a separate texture for the bottom of the wing. I noticed some z-fighting when I tested it out.

EDIT: Apparently there were also changes to banners and shields.

As a side note, I found the old zombie texture and I think it would make a good addition to the pack as a random mob variant. (stick it in optifine>mob>zombie)

I also found out that optifine lets you replace the enchantment texture. The file has to be named enchanted_item_glint and it's placed in the misc folder.

Thanks for the infos! I'll fix all this ASAP.

If the world was ever modded with mods that add new blocks/items/etc it may not be able to be loaded without issues even in the same vanilla version, much less a different version, same for loading a world in an older version than it was last loaded in

Ah I think that's my problem. I recall using a 'tall grass' mod, and it was one of the alpha builds. I was hoping there was an easy fix. It's not a huge deal, I thought it would be a trip down memory lane to see my old cabin and farm, but unless I can track down exactly the version & mods I was using I don't know that I'll ever be able to do that.

    Thanks for the info everyone!

posted a message on Finding old builds in outdated world save

Greetings! I recently fixed an old computer that had one of my original java minecraft worlds on it from many years ago (about 7 years I think). I wanted to wander around my old stomping grounds out of nostalgia, but when I spawn into the world I can't find any of my old stuff. I see ocean and jungle biomes which weren't available when my world was made, so obviously my spawn point is not where it used to be. So, is there any way I can easily find my old builds in this newer version of MC when using an old save?

    Download SPOOKY JOLICRAFT

Thanks to some great community members (big thanks to luna_panshiel), Spooky Jolicraft is now available as a Jolicraft ADD ON (should be installed in addition to Jolicraft, and placed above Jolicraft in the resource pack order list). Have a great Halloween!

okay so i removed the old broken GUIs and fixed the shield slots, i'm not sure why those were in the pack either since i made a point to strip out redundant textures when i turned these into addons

i went and made a new spooky crafting table using a mix of old and new textures, and a custom block config for the sides

    http://www.mediafire.com/file/elgi527ztai0ptk/Spooky_Jolicraft_1.14_v2.zip/file

Edit: i'm also partway through updating snowy jolicraft, i'll be working on that more when i'm less sick. i also intend to give sunny jolicraft a pass to get it working again

Edit 2: i hacked together a WIP version of bars.png, though i'm not 100% on how the game uses them so i excluded the overlay brackets, it should be usable however

These are great, thanks! I just updated the version on my server:

    www.jolicraft.com/download/spookyjolicraft.zip

I'll make a more official release announcement probably next week with some fun new screenshots to show off the additions for folks to enjoy as Halloween approaches. :)

i have had a lovely little stomach virus interrupt my work and haven't been able to get much done the last few days, so i went and fixed the more immediate issues just so i can get it out of the way

    http://www.mediafire.com/file/2hsz4msj6hgituq/Spooky_Jolicraft_1.14-v1.zip/file

    changes:

biome colors greatly improved, use optifine for best results

sought out older jolicraft textures to make certain blocks look spookier

all lingering unfixed pack issues finished

there's still room to improve, but this version is "complete" unless i missed something major

That's awesome! Your additions are fantastic.

I just updated the version on my server (http://www.jolicraft.com/download/spookyjolicraft.zip). I only tweaked the birch colours - thought they could look like dead blackened spooky birches.

I'll spend some time with it early Oct to add some more new stuff and get it ready to share. Thanks so much for your excellent work! It's sometimes hard to keep regular Jolicraft up to date when big releases come along, it's super helpful to have some helpful community folks like you to lend a hand :)

EDIT: Noticed one last missing texture in the pack. The custom texture for redstone wires doesn't seem to load in properly. Right now when you lay down redstone dust it's just the default textures.

Oh dear. That's no good. Fixed!
