It was weird at first, because I realized I've never gotten warnings here. So I was a little confused. Glad to know it's been sorted out though.Posted in: News

Nether Stars.
A use for Soul Sand.
Withers and Wither Skeletons.
New painting of a Wither.
Real Beacon Block texture and crafting recipe.
Dyeing (again)
Decoration Blocks.
Carrots on a stick.
Now all we need is a use for Endstone (other than decoration) and I'll be happy. Whether I like these features and will always use them is unknown, but they do seem cool. -
Aug 29, 2012amcgann96 posted a message on Decoration Blocks to Come; MineTV Episode 5I've wanted to have decoration blocks like this for a while. I did end up stumbling onto a mod that gave mob heads to hang on the wall, but I didn't like that too much. THIS on the other hand, this seems awesome. I can't wait for thesePosted in: News

My emerald is green, but on creative it appears with the name "Diamond". Anyone else have this?
And, planks are different colors depending on wood, but why do stairs not work like that? - To post a comment, please login.

Update 4 Summary:
Mainly, I explored a lot in this update. I'm running low on building materials because I was using them for the road or housing. Seeing as I'm located in a desert, everything was made of sand, which is mostly what I had taken up to this point. But now, I venture back into the Nether to find a fortress. I was successful at that, and killed two blazes before taking the spawner (which was a mistake). Then I went to mine a bunch of Nether Brick as well as Nether Brick Stairs.
Soon, I would expand my backyard farm to include pigs and sheep as well. I also made a quick update to the leaf-entrance (it had glowstone by the door.
And soon after, I began work on the village around the pyramid. I made a 3-wide double-slab pathway, and single or double-wide paths to the houses. For this task, I required a ton of sandstone, and actually depleted my blocks a lot. Other than the ores, food, tools, armor in my chests, I had very little blocks left for building. So I went exploring, and stumbled on another GIANT desert. So I got sidetracked on that account, and I should probably get more than just sandstone.
Go read the update to find out more

Thank you. There are two upsides to minecraft: The option to be as interesting as you want, and trying to do what others haven't. I think I accomplished both of those here (and it's what I've tried to do)
Ha, I know the feeling. It took me a bunch of world generations in the desert to find it. I still have yet to find a Jungle Temple/Ruin in my worlds yet. Trying to find one here, though
Oh, and update 3.5 was just released, with a poll. Vote on it, maybe?

Mojang is giving us (the players) options.
They're giving us a way to tailor the game to the way we want. Texture packs were the first step into that, because we could make blocks/items look how we wanted it. Then there came mods, and we could add what we wanted (new items, a new inventory, new biomes, etc). And now 1.3 and the soon-to-be 1.4. We don't need to use emeralds, villages, pyramids, jungle ruins, mineshafts, end portals, nether portals, etc. With 1.4 and the introduction of client-side mods so we don't need to mod ourselves, we really can tailor it to our own needs.
Minecraft: It's your choice. Play how you wish.

So like blueprints or a general idea build?

I did just start this two days ago, and have only put a few hours in (very few hours), so it isn't too much. I plan to finish dismantling the desert village and recreating a thriving town with my Pyramid Base at the center. And by the way, I love some of the pictures I've seen here.

But do you want a statue of a dog? Or some sort of shrine/building?

Agreed. And wasn't fixed to NOT have random respawning?
Anyway, it sucks more on Survival. Just sayin'

2. Age: 15
3. Previous Minecraft server experience: I've been part of a lot of survival servers that eventually become corrupt and so I leave. I've been looking for a good server for a few days, and this seems like the one. I was also a MOD on a now-dead server, and it took me a few months to work up to that rank.
4. Why do you want to join Jet Life?: Oops, said above. I have been looking for a new survival/creative/hungergames/economy server for a while. This looks to be it
5. Did anyone recommend you to Jet Life? (provide Minecraft Name): Nope
6. Have you read the whole thread including all the rules: Yes, of course.

Also, try your hand at domes. Having an entire city being square wouldn't look great. Or you could have the main frame be a cube and then a rectangle branching off. My build portfolio has an idea like that, I think (Click me!). Look at houses around your neighborhood, or other houses in minecraft for inspiration.

Hahahaha yes!
And what?!
