This isn't as simple as you think. It's not a bot.

The "Link Removed" system is quite simply just a "filter" on top of posts. All it can do is alter post contents, such as making links clickable if you don't use the "Url" button, embedding images, and such. It doesn't have the ability to delete posts. It also means that the system applies retro-actively, so if we add a new link, it will just "naturally" hide those links from any posts, because it's done at render time.

I see, so it's far away from easy...

well idk then, sorry. I believe there is no height limit to mob spawning. Is there a big cave under you? Is anything in the system moved or popped with 1.17? idk

People heard quicksand to be that way in all kinds of movies, from their peers, etc. I feel like it adds an interesting danger to different biomes that matches Minecraft's environment because some of the things in Minecraft that has something to do with physics make that much sense.

Maybe the idea is to not promote a 'lie' about how quicksand works by having it be in even more popular media.

My first non dirthouse was made of oakplanks. It burned down bc i thought it would look cool to have a glass floor with lava underneath it.

So i basically discovered minecrafts fire mechanics while i was returning with my second lava bucket.

Unfortunatly i did not keep my first world. I realy regret that.

Too real, honestly, too real. I wonder how many of us learned how fire mechanics work the hard way.

Best of all it still technically counts as mining, many valuable gemstones as well as metals can be found using this method in water.

Some valuable materials are at ocean floors though and beyond any human reach in real life.

Ores shouldn't be the only way to get materials in the game, it's best to have variety so it becomes less boring or tedious.

    Minecraft does have ores underwater.

My name seed 'allyourbasesaregone' even spawns an amethyst geode underwater near the island you start on.

And here is a near perfect seed for the challenge:

    1860573013

Lots of different biomes, savanna, desert, taiga, mountains. Even a small swamp, allowing for slime.

A village, with a cleric (allowing for cleric trades).

    Sadly no bamboo.

Took me a lot of tries to find this seed, hope it works for y'all :)

Gonna try it now, thank you for sharing it!

Also - bamboo can be sold from traders so that's okay.

And where do we get the staff/time to review all of the posts?

also nothing to stop people posting normally for a few posts, then posting the spam, that is a know method of spammers, we often see what looks like a legit post edited days later to have spam links put in

Asking staff to look over posts is way too much. You guys have your own lives and enough trouble here as is.

I was asking for whatever bot that currently removes links to just also remove posts containing the links. I don't think this is a big jump nor a particular invasion of speech.

    Quote from Just_a_Panda»

Hi everyone. I built a mobgrinder according to a 1.16 tutorial (the one where the mobs fall down 22 blocks onto chests with droppers and slabs where you can then 1 hit it). I followed the tutorial but it does not spawn any mobs..does this not work anymore in 1.17? I afked 30mins next to it and not a single mob fell down.

You have to be standing near the mob spawner for it to be active, not near the area where the mobs fall.

The activity range of a spawner is only 2 blocks below and 2 blocks above on the vertical/y-axis.

It would be good if they could combine the snow idea with sticking half slabs together if snow can form on a half slab it could open up detailing on all half slab blocks half cobble/half sandstone, half cobble/half stone brick etc

Agreed. It would also be nice if snow or powder snow could 'glue' two slabs back into their original block form if they are of the same type.

posted a message on Beacon bases

Beacons look cool, so, how about this:

you craft a beacon base from the beacon recipe minus the nether star. It has the light and the looks but no beacon effect.

You use a smithing table to turn the base into a full beacon with a star.

posted a message on Add a Bronze tier to Minecraft

Given the current functionality of the smithing table, I would instead have it be that you apply copper to iron armour to get bronze armour.

Also, I think there's already a suggestion for this...
