What kind of player are you? Are you a builder? Or are you a resource gatherer/hoarder? Do you play modded, or vanilla? How do you typically enjoy the game?

Screenshots of builds or collections are welcomed and encouraged here.

As I've said many times here, adventurer. I explore, I take in the atmosphere and mood, and I loot sometimes. Often I rebuild places I consider cozy enough to be home, whether natural areas that could be smoothed, or ruins.

    Quote from ActuallyS8N»

So something I just found out, is that there is actually 2 variants of Fox; the Red Fox that spawns in Taiga and its variant biomes, and then the White Fox that spawns in the Snowy Taiga and Grove biomes. I think for the purpose they serve, there's really no need for any more Fox variants. You can't tame them like Wolves, and they don't attack every mob that can damage the player like Wolves do.

I would appreciate a desert fox variant for the simple sake of having a unique colouration for a rarer and distinct biome.

Because, and I'm probably going to get called out for speculating again, but it's a disaster because the thread is one of many on the forums that seems "orchestrated". I watched it get posted (when it was 10 minutes fresh) and get two replies within those ten minutes, and once again by people joining on the same day. The third person went and changed their avatar after the fact. Now I'm not sure what there would be to orchestrate here or why; no advertising was dropped (yet?) and maybe it's just three friends who all didn't have accounts and wanted to post and support the idea. Nothing is wrong with this thread itself, but yeah... if the thread seems odd, that's why. There's a lot of this "orchestrated thread creation and abandon" going on and it's definitely a disaster. This forum has a big problem with this sort of thing but it would probably be hard to manually moderate. To take action, you need firm facts, not just speculation. But it's pretty obvious to see there's something going on with a lot of these threads, and it clutters up the forum and causes confusion.

I have no idea what the follow up response (right before yours) was though, haha. It's their first post but they posted days later, and joined over two years ago. Seemingly someone who, like you, saw the thread was a disaster and got upset and was telling them off, but... odd timing. If it was an account that joined the same day it posted, I'd speculate it's just another "orchestrated" account trying to bring more exposure to the thread, but it's two years old.

Yeah, that's wacky. I don't know what to think anymore, this place is flooded with bad actors. Dead internet.

posted a message on weird cave

It's easy to miss caves that are overhead or blocked by gravel. Furthermore in middle-era version caves, there can be small splits between ends about 1-2 blocks thick, so you have to dig into the ends a bit to see if the cave stretches on. This is also true with strongholds in these versions, and for mineshafts post 1.12, and many more modern structures like trail ruins.

Even modern versions have animals spawn regularly if you're in a survival island situation, but that's an exception rather than a rule with current worldgen.

I didn't say you couldn't move. I stated there was a loss of of control, and there is. There's a difference between some loss of control and a complete loss of control.

Well, 'a loss' can be a bit ambiguous here. Usually people mean 'total loss' when they say 'a loss'.

And the suggestion you seem to be bypassing, is that they should be craftable. Based on the fact that they allowed you to turn Cobwebs into 9 string in Legacy Versions. They were partially there in making this feasible, but removed it going into Bedrock.

Um, this was the suggestion I was making, and just reiterated here indirectly. I started the topic.

No. Some of the new Wolf colors, were based on real world Wolves and Foxes. I had seen somewhere, where they made comparisons saying as such anyway. That's what I was asking after.

And I am a little offended you think I'm a bot. One that's made 105 posts since May and hasn't been caught or reported yet.

For shame good sir and/or Madam. /sarcasm

I think it was your wording in your last post that confused me here "a few Fox variants" with fox in uppercase. Yes, it makes sense, but in that case, fox textures would be redundant to wolves and players might confuse one for another.

posted a message on Rabbit Hide doesn't need to exist

I support TMC's solution for the fall height issue, and thank you to Garnet for explaining that block glitch as well - in trying to resolve that glitch, I often expose rabbits to large falls or get them stuck elsewhere yet again.

And as per AS8N's point, there are other mobs that have similar issues to rabbits AI wise. Rabbits stand out to me personally as the worst because they have a small hitbox and an awkward way of moving via these horizontally forward jumps (slimes mostly jump up).

People build differently. Just because you might only use "a few" for decor, doesn't mean everybody else will.

I can't argue with that, yes. Which is why I'm saying that it ought to be easier to get cobwebs on a farmable basis (with the help of the new autocrafter), than to rely on potions that require specific situations and group targeting, or on structures which are manual and not automatable.

I can't really imagine structures other than spider nests and traps using a lot of cobwebs, but in simple principle, if it comes from string, it should be possible to make from string. Then again, that's not the case for saddles and many other semi-rare items.

Didn't they use a few Fox variants for some of the new Wolf versions?

I don't understand your question and have the impression that you're a bot (no offense). As far as I know, it's just the orange texture for foxes, unless you mean that there were unused textures that were then ported to wolves. But wolves don't even have the same model, only similar.

The reason for wolves getting textures is to help distinguish them by biome of origin and hide them better when predating. Foxes only show up in forests and only attack at night, so as of right now there is no functional argument for giving them textures. But there is opportunity to expand their predation habits and biome locations out just as has been done for wolves, and previously rabbits. I only worry that this will lead to rabbits being super-hunted in all their biomes, as per this other thread: Rabbit Hide doesn't need to exist - Discussion - Minecraft: Java Edition - Minecraft Forum - Minecraft Forum

*Pardon, I read your reply here before your other two to me, I can see you're a person and one of those replies was in the hide thread as well.

posted a message on A water and sand varient of the breeze and blaze

Water variant kind of sounds like a 1.13 rejected vote mob, which I'm cool with. The sandglaze feels more like a fusion of the husk, breeze, and stray/bogged. I don't mind either of these simply for variety and because the 'living napalm tank' idea is a good enemy design for most games - feels both elemental, and humanized enough to be taken seriously.

Cobwebs' main expenditure would be for PvP fights, actually. You only need a few for traps or decor. As I said

posted a message on Make Minecarts FASTER!!!

    Minecarts are fast enough.

In my first world in 1.5, I was deathly afraid of mobs in caves due to the old combat style (skeletons had no bow animation, creepers exploded from further, and mobs could melee from larger distances). So I barely got far down enough for gold, redstone, or diamond, and didn't have enough to make powered rails (I tried strip mines but swiss-cave design made this untenable after a point and I had to make many such mines).

So I had a minerail where there would be constant bumps up and down a block in order to create speed through the gravity while pressing W. It was faster than a straightaway and reduced the risk of suffocation damage from the ceiling, but it still felt cramped and inefficient. I only ever finished one such line, going from my base and main cave site to a dungeon and secondary cave site.

I was building another, much bigger one, under a mountain range and across underground ravines to a village and new home I had, but since scaffolding didn't exist, I kept getting knocked into ravines by arrows and climbing spiders. So I gave up on it. It didn't help that i lacked exact coordinates at first until I learned that the debug screen existed, so the two sides of that secondary rail line weren't lined up properly.

posted a message on Minecraft needs more Foxes

This thread is a disaster so far, but yes, since wolves got biomic updates, foxes should too. Both are canines that hunt smaller passive mobs. It would also be nice to have foxes be marginally more common and deserts and tundras could use a bit more wildlife. I personally do not interact with foxes much as I consider them a hassle, but I understand their usefulness for berry farms.
