    And the license is the GNU LGPL, so you do not need permission to use it in a modpack.

    Personally; I would wish Mojang would do something better than command blocks (lets face it; they are kinda terrible) and glitch exploit glass panes. But... you know... if wishes were fishes; we'd be able to walk on the sea. :P

    It's near the top. Under download, in a spoiler tag under older releases.

    You can also get v1.6 for Minecraft 1.2.5 via the installer, which is the easiest. It also has the stable version of Forge that was testet on.

    Ah, well then all you need is the core mod. No need for the SMP client addon.
    So just remove that and try reinstalling the core mod.
    If it still won't work after that; post your log again and we'll try to figure it out from there. :)

    I cant remember all that well. 1.2.5 is a long time ago.

    But to play SMP back then you had to have WirelessRedstone + WirelessRedstone Client addon. Both of which needs to be for 1.2.5.
    When you use Forge; you need to pick the 1.6 version.
    If you already have this, then you could try putting it all into one zip. I remember there being some issues with loading order back in the day, but can't remember if it was sorted after 1.2.5 or not.

    You should totally give it another try though, a lot has happened in the past year. Amongst other things; it is now relatively compatible with LittleBlocks, which was your issue at the time if I'm not horribly mistaken?

    What I am trying to say is that don't put too much weight on it.
    Unless of course an updated site is super important to you, in which case I'll remind you that the wireless redstone site hasn't been updated since 2011. Has that affected the quality of the project or your opinion of it? I sincerely hope not...

    I'm not sure what SlimeVoid uses their site for, but to me it looks like a marketing front. I could of course be mistaken.
    Regardless of that, try to focus on what this is actually about; the project's survival. Whether or not their web site is updated is a trivial matter, at least it is to me.
    I did not pick them to take over because they are really good at updating their web site, I picked them because I think they are the best option to continuing the project with the quality of service I and others have come to expect from it.
    If you think that was a horrible decision; fine, I can live with that. But try to remember where we are, we're not exactly drowning in decent developers.
    If you know of anyone else that can do it, and are willing to; then they are of course more than welcome to take it on as well. It's on a public license for a reason. If they do a better job than SlimeVoid => I'm happy. If they don't; whatever, SlimeVoid is still doing it => I'm happy. xD

    Good thing people haven't seen the Wireless Redstone website. It's wonky, unfinished and hasn't been updated for over a year. >_>

    I am not going to speak for SlimeVoid, and it is understandable that people are worried. But remember that facade web sites are generally for marketing purposes. The "feedback loop" normally goes on behind the facade. On, for example, a forum thread. As close to the users as possible is the best, without making it... awkward. :P
    Obviously if the SlimeVoid web site was updated more regularly it would spark more initial confidence in the team for people who are not familiar with it already. But updating it takes time, time which could be used for improving the service for the users, giving the feedback where it matters to them; on the threads and on the source repositories, not to mention development on the actual software. That and it is terribly easy to forget about the facade when you're head deep in other things. I hope people don't put too much weight on that, but rather on the services being provided. Personally I would be more worried if they spent most of their time updating the web site.

    Even with all the annoyances that comes with change; remember the change is fairly small, Eury has been doing the vast majority of work on the mod since the Forge migration. And it is a bazillion times better than having the mod die. :D

    TL;DR: Don't worry too much about the web site. Primary focus should be on the product, the mod, which I am sure the majority of you care the most about anyways. I know I do. :)

    We are aware change is difficult. That is why we have processes in place to make sure it happens gradually, and thus as painlessly as possible for our users and everyone else.

    I'm fairly sure the most noticeable change will be the migration over to a new thread, which will happen gradually. How gradually only really depends on the user base and for how long they will stick around in the old one. It's not exactly a very active thread. It's been mostly for announcements, bug reports and people asking politely for updates with big colorful letters. (no, I don't mind, it's how I know people still use the mod, haha) So I do not expect it to take very long for the dust to settle.

    You do not need to worry too much about the direction of development, Eury has been doing most of it for the past half++ year anyways. Like he said: if you've been happy with the project up until now; it is fairly likely you'll be happy with it for a while more. Unless you get horribly bored with it or someone comes up with something better of course. ;)
