Here is a place to post different tactics you have for the server
    here are mine
Scorched earth: destroy the land to stone, be rid of the trees, mine the ores
The "Sweep": take a massive number of people and "sweep" across a certain area, taking over any base you find
Out-Flank-and-Maneuver: Have a small portion of your force attack from the front, a slightly larger portion from the rear, and have the rest come from the sides.
    Drop-Down: attack from above
Digger's-Panic: tunnel below them and hit 'em with tnt
Volley: send a massive number of arrows their way
Hit-and-Run: split your forces into tiny 2-4 man groups, attacking occasionally at completely random times
Cover of Night: use the darkness of the night to your advantage to sneak up and surround them.
Draw away: send a large force to one side of the base and have a small squad come around another way.
Suppress: keeping the foe under cover can help thin them out

posted a message on InteriorDesignCraft (House Ideas!)
    Hello!

I've been playing Minecraft for a while, and I've decided one of the most fun things to do is design and build a house.

My main goal is to have a house as interesting, thought-provoking, and creative as possible. I'd love to hear what ideas everyone has.

    So far, my ideas are:
    -a bed!
    -a fireplace
-a farm: just outside, in it's own room, or on the roof
    -bookshelves
    -a lava-fall/waterfall
    -a porch, with fence
    -sunroof
-workshop, and furnace room, whatever you want to call them
    -hot tub/bath

    What do you think?

posted a message on Minecraft goes Steam? I go Away, do you?
    Quote from Onforty »
If Minecraft goes steam, i will definately go apeshit, and stop playing minecraft, and use thoose 14€ i saved away to gift my little sister the game for something else, like a Infiniminer donation. I will also be very sad.

Steam is a pile of crap and the only reason i got it is for Garrys mod.. And what if i use a flyhack in creative mode? Wouldnt the damn ****ing retarded cousin to Punkbuster(WIch is equally retarded) VAC instapermabadminban me so i can never play Gmod multiplayer again? Wouldnt Notch have to pay them his income? Like he gets 5% while they get the rest? Forcing him to stop investing in the game and live from random scrap he finds lying about in the street? That means lotsa dropped hearts too.

What i mean is, that Steam would be generally bad for both Notch and the whole playerbase, so to keep him from doing it, shouldnt we just say "Let it be or we are out"?

I really mean, why should Notch loose all his money to some fat ******* wich constantly looses his head in a flash game about intensive shoppers and wheelchair bums racing about in death traps?

Does anyone else smell a troll? Because, OP, you're being a bit foolish, I doubt most people, if not everyone, wouldn't leave MC.
I love Steam so much, and I love Minecraft so much, it actually seems perfect that they go together.

:Teal: For the suggestions board, anyway, why not add in a "Good idea" button, that readers can hit, that'll "rank up" the page with said idea? This would make a very efficient system for Notch to sort the ideas page by popularity and read the ones that have the most promise.

    Yes. Love it

posted a message on Game Mode: Pilgrimage
Well, nice idea, but way too easy to get around.

i.e. get like 500 dirt (or as much as you can) and about 30 sand during the day, boost yourself up about 50 blocks out of the range of skeletons, and use your sneak-build to make a walkway all the way to the endpoint. If you don't get there with the amount of dirt you have, wait for day, go down using your sand (because it's affected by gravity, you place about 30 or so, then jump on it, taking the sand down as you get back to ground level), and gather more dirt. Repeat till goooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaal.

posted a message on Certain items are just too hard to make.
With the wood tracks, I think everyone would just make those...to make 16 wood track, you would only need 6 logs, (usually one to two trees) assuming you already have one stick. You also wouldn't need to smelt any wood or anything, like you need to smelt iron.

Wood is way easier to get than iron, even though you need more wood to equal the amount of track you'd get with iron., thus OP.

    Ice overkill in my opinion.
The only things that I really support are the ice skates and freezing food, if food decay were added.

posted a message on Wet sand
I think that this actually is quite a good idea, but i think sand should have to have water (OR other WET sand, but only in a few block radius) touching it at all times to stay wet. As soon as the water source is gone, it should be reverted to normal, dry sand in about 5 or 10 seconds.

I agree that gold should have more uses in crafting, but for what?

Also, using gold as a conductor of electricity seems a little too high-tech for minecraft, as of now.

Yeah, I think the classes are a bit overpowered...

and the Miner class is by far the best. I can't see any reason why somebody wouldn't pick Miner.
