ajchess1997 posted a message on Microsoft Announces Minecraft 360 has Broken All Digital Sales Records
I'm not sure why everyone else is complaining, it's a great game. All the bugs people have mentioned haven't happened to me, and although I understand that people are complaining about only splitscreen with HDMI, I mean I'm young and even I can afford an HDMI cable. I played for hours yesterday with my friends, the only bug I got was a few lighting glitches, which even happen on the PC version. All in all, it's a fun game, and was definitely worth the money I spent on it.

    1) IGN: AJwr
    2) Your age: 17
    3) Your current rank: B-Block, almost to A-Block.
    4) How long have you been playing Trapped? (Minimum of 3 days) About 5 days at this moment.
    5) Have you read the Server, Prison, and Guard Rules? Of course, the second I arrived :D
    6) Any experience with the prison genre? Yes, I have played on a few, and have even reached the rank of guard on one server owned by a minecraft pal of mine.
    7) What is your time zone? Eastern Standard Time [GMT -5]
    8) Why are you the best choice for guard? Personally, I know I am a good choice because of my personality and skills. I keep a level head under duress, and would remain a faithful and well-rounded guard. My skills in persuasion and PvP are also quite good, and I think those would help in being a guard. I would also like to get to know the wardens better, and I think this is a great opportunity to do so.

Sonic Ether's Unbelievable Shaders [compatible with Minecraft 1.12.2 via OptiFine]

Please read this entire post before attempting an install or posting about a bug.

Development news is posted on my Facebook/Twitter page: http://www.facebook.com/SonicEther

    SEUS Renewed screenshots!

SEUS Renewed is an on-going project! Feel free to report any issues you encounter.

    Setup (PLEASE READ)

OptiFine has taken over shader support for Minecraft. Go download and install OptiFine first! ALWAYS USE THE LATEST VERSION

You need to install this mod to use my shaderpack!

    Download OptiFine

Once you've got OptiFine installed, to use a shaderpack, follow these instructions.

    1. Navigate to your .minecraft folder (google is your friend if you don't know how to do this).
    2. Create a new folder called shaderpacks (without capital letters) if it isn't already there.
    3. Go download my shaderpack "Sonic Ether's Unbelievable Shaders" from below and place the shaderpack in this directory.
    4. Valid shaderpacks include .fsh and .vsh files that the Shaders Mod reads to tell your GPU what to do during runtime. These files must be in a folder named shaders within any shaderpack. Shaderpacks may only be uncompressed folders or .zip files.

The following is an example of the file layout possibilities for the shaderpack Sonic Ether's Unbelievable Shaders v10.1 Ultra
.minecraft/shaderpacks/SEUS Renewed 1.0.0/shaders/[.fsh and .vsh shader files here]
    or
.minecraft/shaderpacks/SEUS Renewed 1.0.0.zip/shaders/[.fsh and .vsh shader files here]

If this layout is not respected, your installed shaderpacks will not work. This is the first thing you
should check if your game looks like vanilla Minecraft.

    5. In Minecraft, go to Options > Video Settings > Shaders. Here you will see a list of your currently installed shaderpacks. Select a shaderpack by clicking on it.

    6. In Options > Video Settings > Shaders, make sure that "Old Lighting" is set to Default!

    7. Click Shader Options in the bottom right corner of the Shaders selection screen (for v11.0 and Renewed) to setup SEUS-specific options. Here you can choose from Low, Medium, High, Ultra, and Extreme profiles, as well as tweak any individual option to suit your needs!

    Tweaks

Once the mod is properly installed, there are a few things you can do to ensure maximum performance.

-Run the game in a smaller resolution in full-screen
    -Lower your render distance
-When OptiFine is installed, try toggling "Options > Video Settings > Performance > Smooth FPS:". "ON" gives more responsive input and more steady fps, but likely lower maximum FPS.

    Reporting an Issue

If this mod is giving you unusual results, please make sure that you installed everything correctly first.
If you are using this mod on a Mac, I'm sorry to say that I am powerless to provide Mac support. I apologize.

I can't help you if you don't provide these details:
-Describe your issue thoroughly. Provide a screenshot or video if you can.
-Describe your system specs. If you forget this step, I cannot help in any way.
-Include the output log along with your issue report.
-Describe the shaderpack, OptiFine mod version, and Minecraft version that you are running when encountering this issue.

Mumfrey posted a message on Macro / Keybind Mod

If you're a server admin, a player on a server with lots of plugins, or just love automating every aspect of your minecraft experience, you will honestly wonder how you lived without this mod...

    • Bind chat commands and scripts to keyboard keys, mouse buttons and custom menus
    • Easy to use GUI. Just activate the mod then just press the key you want to bind. No complicated commands to remember!
    • Bind keys which are already used for something else! Want to put a macro on the number keys, mouse buttons or WASD? Using the override function you can use these keys for both their normal function or as macros when you need them.
    • Edit keybinds quickly. Change your binds whenever you want. You can even copy and move macros from key to key with drag 'n drop.
    • Multiple configurations. Different binds in different servers? No problem! It even switches automatically.
    • In-game text editor. Want to make a complex macro? No need to alt-tab to notepad, create and edit text files inside minecraft.
    • Lots of easy-to-use parameters. Lists of friends, automatic responses, warp points, towns, you name it.
    • Scripting! Build custom auto-announcers, time-delay messages, or create your own auto-walk, toggleable-sneak or sprint keys.
    • Custom GUIs! Create your own custom GUI and hook up your macros for instant in-game menus
    • Permissions System Server admins can lock down chosen features of the mod using the easy-to-setup Client Permissions plugin, allowing seamless integration with the server's existing rank system.

    1. Install LiteLoader
    2. Download the .litemod file for your version of minecraft here and save it into your "mods" folder (create the "mods" folder if it does not already exist) NOTE: Some browsers will change the file extension to .zip when downloading, if this happens be sure to change it back to .litemod or LiteLoader will not find the mod!
    3. Run the Minecraft client
    4. Check the Controls screen in the Minecraft configuration to make sure there are no conflicts with other keys you use. This mod adds pages to the Controls screen for enhanced configuration of any mods which add custom keys

    Expand for more images:

    Auto-populate towns, homes, friends

New features in 0.5: Multiple configurations:

    Friend selection

    Item selection

    To bind keys:

    • In-game, simply press [SNEAK KEY]+GRAVE (change the key in the options if this doesn't work for you) and you will be prompted to press a key.
    • Press the key you would like to bind or click it on the on-screen keyboard
    • Enter the chat command (including the / at the start), separate multiple commands with pipe "|"
    • Press ENTER to save the keybind, press ESC to cancel it. To edit a keybind repeat the same process.

    • If the key doesn't have any other function (eg. it is not bound to any other built-in command or function) then just press the key
    • If the key is bound to another function (such as the WASD keys or T,I etc) press your [MACRO ACTIVATE] key (as you set in the options) followed by the key.
    • Alternatively if the key is bound to another function press [MACRO OVERRIDE]+[KEY] (again, you can set this in the Controls screen)

You can find out a lot of useful information about the mod via my tutorials on YouTube.

To get started using the mod, you can find an list of commands and keycodes and guide to the other features in the mod in the readme.txt

    • the FILTER and PASS commands from the chat filter can now be used in the onSendChatMessage event in order to allow the message to be sent or not (yes this is something I said was impossible for a long time and is actually now only possible because of the aforementioned improvements to liteloader). The trade-off is that the onSendChatMessage event now runs synchronously. This is experimental and I may remove this if it causes too many problems such as game crashes or people's computers catching fire.
    • Fixed issue with multiple \ characters always being collapsed to a single \ because of a mistake in the escape handling
    • Fixed issue with using GUI() to close container GUI's not actually closing the container.
    • Fixed type hints not working in inline list parameters since 1.7
    • STOP now parses its argument, so variables can be used
    • More things I probably forgot but I'm tired.

I have spent a lot of time developing this mod and some people have asked if they can donate but I believe in making mods for fun and do not wish to make money from it. However if you really would like to make a donation then I recommend making a donation to Vexx32, who will use it to buy minecraft gift codes for people! This way your good will can go towards helping someone to play the game. :) It has come to my attention that Vexx is no longer maintaing his thread, so I will think about an alternative for the future.

TaviRider posted a message on TaviRider's World of Redstone V2.0
Hey Kids, TaviRider here. I'd like to present a project called...

    TaviRider's World of Redstone V2.0

    Based on Minecraft version: 1.2.5
    Project status: Building!
    Minecraft Server Address: defenestration.co

Once you connect, walk to the Portal Hall (a building with neterrack columns visible from /spawn, just past the playground). The second portal on the right, a TARDIS, will take you to the World of Redstone portal room. You must be whitelisted to access this portal.

    Background

So far over the previous version of the world, TaviRider's World of Redstone V1.1, has been downloaded over 10,000 times. But that world ran into two problems: Rapid Minecraft updates made the world out of date, and the project grew too large for one person to maintain.

I'm recruiting people from the Minecraft community to build the next version on a multiplayer server. I have a simple starting point already generated, a rough vision and plan for the elements in the world, and a plan for organizing the community to be able to contribute. Now all I need is an army of contributors to help turn this into the world's best resource for redstone!

    Contributors

Several different skill sets are necessary for this project. Contributors can choose which level of responsibility and time commitment they want. This project needs contributors of all redstone skill levels, from redstone beginners to bleeding edge researchers. The roles described below are about project roles, not about knowledge of redstone.

If you would like to contribute, contact a Manager or an Architect.

    Architects:
Architects are responsible for the overall quality of the entire world. They set the vision for the entire project, resolve disputes or design questions, and have nearly unlimited rights to modify the world.
    • TaviRider
    Managers:
Managers are responsible for organizing the other contributors to the world. They set and enforce the Rules for Contributors, recruit contributors, set contributors roles, assign contributors to sections of the world, and set access rights on the server.

    Senior Developers:
Senior Developers have broad rights to modify the world and are expected to contribute to and own major sections of the world. The following are all the Senior Developers, and the sections for which they are responsible.
    • Shreddykickflip
    • Jazza_Hat
    • TOAOBarr / tylerdebarr
    • hyperbolicparaboloid / numero

    • kloppermand
    • static_boy123 / pieman103021
    • Shrogg
    • Jddevos
    Junior Developers:
Junior Developers have basic rights to contribute throughout the world, and their work is coordinated by the Senior Developers.
    • HaZZaKeY
    • diceyface
    • amorall171
    • EmilBjorn / cubebrothers

    • Firebirdeagle
    • goldy5114
    • Nick131
    Testers:
Testers contribute primarily by reviewing sections of the world to ensure they are clear and comprehensive. Although feedback is welcome from anyone, testers take responsibility for thoroughly reviewing sections of the world.

    Rules

The following is all the rules for behavior on the server. We expect people to behave maturely without needing to be told exactly how to do that, so the list is fairly simple:
    1. Try not to digress from the project. No personal projects or major research; you get 1 warning on this.
    2. Be respectful. No profanity, racism, homophobia, personal attacks, etc.
    3. No griefing.
    4. IT may ban for trying to damage the server or being a nuisance.
    5. Managers may ban for rule violations or being a nuisance.
    6. Architects may ban for working against the project's goals & Style Guide, rule violations, or being a nuisance.
    7. Bans are permanent, no appeals. Do not bother arguing about others' bans.
You can also view the rules in the world. Type /warp rules to see them.

    In-World Forum

There's a mini-forum in the world for quick communication. On the server, type /warp forum to see it.

    Style Guide

In order to keep the world's look consistent and useful, I've published a Style Guide. On the server, type /warp styleguide to see it. All construction in the world must follow this Style Guide. The Style Guide will evolve along with the project.

So, once more you guys will Ignore the fact that a lot of people are disappointed and displeased with the product. So typical, let's just turn a blind eye. You should mention the number of people wanting a refund.

From what I can tell, a lot more people are happy with it than displeased. That's not to say that the number of displeased people is in any way insignificant, but to fully discount the number of players who are enjoying it would be equally insulting, wouldn't it? ;)

Lol we don't exactly "like" seeing error logs, but its about the only way we can help you.
