I like to use sandstone for houses cos I'm from New England and houses are white. If someone made a sandstone or white wool alt that looked like clapboard, I would be a very very happy camper. I also like to build houses out of bricks or birch logs, and my preferred roof is stone brick slabs and blocks or stairs. Tobiwankenobi's Inspiration pack has stone brick that is just slightly shimmery, so it makes perfect slate tiles.
I only ever use wooden stairs for furniture making, ditto for pressure plates, and I like to hang a lot of pictures. My fireplaces are cobble, brick, or stone brick, depending on my mood. My floors are mostly wool, with wood around the edges, although sometimes I like to use lapis blocks in kitchen areas. One time I made a fireplace surround out of diamond blocks. I use trap doors for shutters and the edges of planters/windowboxes. I would use gravel for floors, as a couple of packs make it quite attractive and interesting, but I hate the sound it makes underfoot. I've pondered making a floor out of sand, despite how boring it would be, just for the sound. Not-boring sand would be a dreadful idea, though, as so much of the world is vast expanses of it.
I want to be able to make thatched roofs, and as I mentioned above, I really wish there was clapboard (and beadboard) available. Terracotta tiles wouldn't hurt either.
I have absolutely no idea what to do for the 'end' stone. None at all. I invite you to hurl concepts/ideas/suggestions at me! Ideas for the 'feel' of The End would be especially appreciated. :biggrin.gif:
White marble or alabaster, possibly with lichen growing on it, like old gravestones.
Wow. I love this. Any time estimate on when you'll add the wall art? Or are you on minecraftcustomizer.com so I can just sub in someone else's wall art? This is an amazing pack, I can't believe I'm only just finding it.
This is really nice. I like the new glowstone, but the old one was just fine in my opinion. Any chance of a divided light window? Maybe in the same style as the new glowstone?
I am waiting with bated breath for the revamp, but I regretfully acknowlege that there is life outside of Minecraft (strangely-shaped and chaotic life, but life nonetheless).

The feel of The End? Victorian funereal art.

You're welcome. I just looked over the screen shots again, and I'm impressed all over again.
Pretty much. Here's one of the results I got from a Google image search:
I grew up in an old house, so divided lights just look right and proper to me.
