Teleporting in survival would be a bad change for vanilla. However, the idea of compasses pointing back "home" is a good one

I see sponges currently has an end-game luxury item, like totems and elytra. I think making them renewable/craftable cheapens them

Currently, Llamas are the unique mob to extreme hills. If we had camels in deserts instead of llamas in mountains, goats would be great in mountains. I don't think we need 2 mountain mobs though.

The hawk mechanics seem extremely complicated for almost no benefit (just hunting rabbits?)

Lizard/Beetles/Rats aren't great - they are basically too small to work in MC. Rabbits are kind of at the lower limit for terrestrial mobs, since any mob you have would need to climb at least 1 block high heights. Rabbits themselves only work because they jump so high.

Same applies for Snakes, but if you don't have the three above, snakes aren't doing anything anyway.

The Wren is just annoying as hell, you can't have cacti anywhere near your farms. Adding new mobs that are just a nuisance without a benefit isn't a good idea.

Camels are interesting though - if they spawned very rarely, I could see it.

As a side note, if you had all of these mobs actually put in the game, Deserts would have a LOT more life crawling around than any other biome, which doesn't make any sense.

Sub-terranian part of the farm tower is now under construction, with the first floor finished. It actually looks like a huge redstone server room.

Once finished, fully-automatic pumpkins and melons will be available in the main "Lobby" of the farm tower!

FYI - I wanted to give everyone an update for the current staff.

aegisjester - Server owner. I have the final say on any disputes that arise between members, what plugins we use (and what settings)

Fluffie and secretlondon - Moderators. They can do things like fix some basic world generation errors, but also see things like all block/chest interactions and do rollbacks. If you have a dispute with another member of the server about something (or if something seems broken), they can always help. If you have a dispute with a moderator, I will resolve it.

vQuavelen - SysAdmin. She is helping me with making sure all the plugins are up to date and working properly, and is helping import builds from the old world into the new one. She is NOT helping with player disputes or day-to-day stuff, and always works directly with me for any changes that get made. If something looks broken at the server level, you can let her know if none of the other staff is online and she will work with me to fix it. If you have a dispute with her, just work with the moderators or me to get it resolved like any other member.

Since most of the old builds have been imported, the SysAdmin has a background role, and does not overlap with the moderators. If there are issues like theft or other player disputes, work with me or the moderators to get it resolved.

    2. That woudn't last indefintely. You would have to restock them after they run out (and tools don't stack).

    3. Automatic wood/crop farms would require significant amounts of redstone. The recipe would also likely involve quartz, making this strictly mid- to late-game.

My server has been running for about 4 years continuously. Everything is "end game". After a week on any world, you're "end game".

Don't get me wrong - a system like this would be useful to the point of game breaking, but thats the problem - its game breaking. Removing the need to "mine" in "minecraft" just doesn't make sense.

exactly - its like drawing freehand and snap-to-grid. Playing survival is like drawing something on paper. Playing creative is like using photoshop (or even just Paint) - the snap-to-grid makes a lot more sense in one context or another.

If you are concerned with basic things like navigation, there's the f3 debug tool (which is also a bit "dirty", but who's keeping score at that point)

its supposed to be free look, free explore. "snapping" directly in any direction destroys that immersion

I would prefer not using either, but since elytras are pure vanilla I won't stop you.

Using /fly to go up super high to glide with elytra is not ok. The reason for this rule is that it causes too much of the world to get generated and loaded at once, which puts a ton of strain on the server. Maxed out server while exploring means everyone else deals with lag, but it also increases the chances of chunks getting corrupted at generation.

as a reminder, while some players are allowed flight, you are NOT allowed to explore new areas while flying. Doing so will result in losing your rank for 1 week.
