posted a message on (1.14) Villagers not Going into Doors in Custom Village

So, I actually ran some tests in another world, and it seems to be all villages that are affected. I went to a naturally generated village, rang the bell, and the villagers go towards the bed, but not through the door into the house. I'm in 1.14.1 pre-release 1, so there might be a glitch in there that causes it. Regardless, thanks for your advice.

UPDATE: Yes, it's the pre-release that's causing the bug. I downgraded back to 1.14 and they work fine.

posted a message on (1.14) Villagers not Going into Doors in Custom Village

So I spent some time making a village in the new 1.14 update. This village is complete with houses, doors, beds, and job sites (lecterns specifically; I like librarians). However, for some reason, villagers that I bring in from another nearby village don't seem to behave properly. I have a bell on a fountain in the village, but when I ring it, the villagers won't go inside any houses, despite the accessibly door. They'll run around when I ring the bell, but they almost seem to actively avoid the doors (but they seem to be going towards the beds in the house but can't access them due to a wall being in the way). I don't know what I'm doing wrong though, if anything. Again, I've got doors, beds, job sites, and a bell for the gathering site. Anyone have any idea what the problem is and/or what I could do to fix it? Thanks! (If it's worth noting, this is on the 1.14.1 pre-release)

posted a message on Pillager Raid Immunity with Underground Villages

So I came to realize that with the new village mechanics in 1.14, you could now make underground villages since villagers look for beds and not doors anymore (housing with doors before 1.14 required exposed skylight so that a villager could tell what was "inside" and "outside"). With that in mind, I wondered if, when you got a bad omen, would pillagers also spawn underground to attack an underground village? I decided to test this out. I found a small cave, threw down a bed and a lectern (not really necessary but I like librarians) and spawn egged a villager in.

I then gave myself the bad omen effect, and the raid indeed came. However. They didn't spawn in the cave itself, and instead were above ground and were gathering around the X and Z position of the villager's location.

However, I then though "well maybe they didn't attack because there wasn't a lot of room underground for them". So I then made another "village" in a larger underground space (just /filled an area with air). Slapped a bed, lectern, and villager down, and lit up the area to prevent zombies from spawning. I then started another raid, but pillagers still didn't spawn underground despite the ample room and were still above ground.

Based on what I've found out, if villagers are in an enclosed underground area, they are basically immune to all raids. HOWEVER. This does not mean that the pillagers will go away. They will remain there and continue to "attempt" to reach the villager, but will never reach it unless there's an easily accessible entrance. So you'd have to dispatch of them still. There would be little-to-no risk for your villagers however as far as I'm concerned.

posted a message on The issue with phantoms

Yeah, I realized that about a week ago  I always thought you had to fully sleep, so I feel a bit dumb :p. They're still a bit of a nuisance, but not as bad as previously thought.

posted a message on The issue with phantoms

So I've had my first few experiences with phantoms in Minecraft 1.13, and while the idea and concept of them attacking players who haven't slept in a few days seems good on paper, it feels really badly implemented and I feel like the developers at Mojang really did not know what they were doing when making this. Sure, in singleplayer you can just sleep and they'll screw off. But I feel like phantoms are a huge hindrance on servers, especially with a decent amount of people. It's difficult to coordinate everyone to sleep at the same time, and regardless, we shouldn't have to to avoid these mobs. I feel like they aren't enriching to the gameplay at all. They punish players for, in my opinion, a silly reason, and are hard to fight. They're not even fun to fight either, especially if you're early in the game. When they swoop down, you can maybe hit them with a sword, or they'll chomp a piece of you off along with your health. Yeah arrows might help but overall they just seem like annoying mobs that aren't adding much to help the gameplay and are more of a hindrance than they are fun. Anyways, rant over. Does anyone else share this same issue? Again, my issue with them is mainly pertaining to multiplayer, which I feel is something Mojang overlooked which I feel is rather lazy in my opinion...

EDIT: So I've learned that simply entering a bed makes the phantoms go away. So I was a bit ignorant when I wrote this. I still find them rather annoying when they suddenly pop up without warning but I don't have as big an issue with them anymore.

posted a message on The Asdorian Conglomerate [Religion] [PreciousStones] [Recruiting] [13+]

In the ashes of the last great war between Nardo and Odran, came the foundation of the grand empire and conglomerate known to all as Asdor. May the skelepig be forever praised for the holy land given to its rightful owners...

    -Book of Asdor

Asdor is a kingdom taking a relatively large area of land, but what's so special about it? Those who live in it, along with many of Asdor's allies worship the almighty Skelepig himself, Nardo!

But who is this "Nardo" I speak of? Why only the most incredibly swagtastic, b*tchin' and fantastic deity ya ever f*cking saw. He's the creator of everything that is, was, and ever will be (even you and me. Crazy, huh?). As a wither skeleton with a pig head, he's pretty f*cking badass. Asdor's main building, outside of the High Mountain Castle, is the Grand Church to the Holy Skelepig. Here you can give sacrifices, pray, and hold religious ceremonies or services. Our cult religion is known as Nardoism. Our town is located on the server known as Dwagaming, with the IP "mc.dwagaming.com".

    Pluses to joining us:

-You get to play on a really sick server with a super cool community

-You get to worship the best deity ever and spread the word of the Great Skelepig!

-Access to a small community farm, and soon a community mob grinder

-A good sized plot for the cheap price!

-A copy of the Nardo Bible (sh*t will change your life)

    Negatives to joining us:

    -Uuuuh none?

    Rules when living in Asdor:

    1. Try to stick to Asdor's primary color scheme (red blue and yellow) with the primary building material being stone based blocks, I'm pretty flexible on this and I won't necessarily force it, but I'd appreciate you following that.

    2. You can't kill pigs (Unless they're f*cking heretics to the holy Nardo religion, where in that case you kill those suckers on sight, I'll let you be the judge of pigs and if they're heretics or not).

    3. When using the community farm, please replant crops after harvesting, no one wants to go to the farm with a near empty hunger meter and see that all the carrots are gone.

    4. When participating in religious activities in the Church, you must wear the appropriate garb (pink leather cap, and black shirt, pants, and boots. I can provide those for you).

    5. Be cool, and don't be a ****. Spreading the word of Nardo is our primary goal, but if someone is all like "nah, no thanks" then leave them be.

    How to join Asdor?

    Minecraft Username: __________

Age (13 or older due please to some mature themes): __________

Small paragraph on why you wish to join the conglomerate and spread the holy word: __________

The server IP that Asdor is on:__________

    What is rule #3?__________

posted a message on Lands of Asdor

Welcome to Lands of Asdor, we are a future server that takes place in Asdor, a world full of ancient civilizations long gone, with their ruins scattered around the land for you to find!

Now what makes our server stand out from the rest?

We're one of the few servers that combine the power of Bukkit Plugins, and command blocks. We have the two work in harmony on our server to help maximize the playing experience.

We're a hardcore PvP server, but yet, we also have Towny. Out in the wilderness, safety is far from reachable. Griefing, stealing, and killing is 100% allowed in the wilderness. However, towns remove that almost completely. You'll find yourself protected from briefing, stealing, and being killed (if the town has PvP off)

This server is largely competition based. We have a weekly build contest, where we have each of the towns (or even people living in the wilderness) make a build under a specific category. The winner of the contest gets a ton of loot distributed amongst the townspeople, along with their build displayed in a gallery. Although, if someone in the wilderness manages to win, they get all of the loot for themselves. So be careful if that's you, you may become a target!

If there are enough nations, there will be an occasional war declared by an admin. Which will have all of the towns fight each other until only one remains.

We have an economy with normal money, but along with that, we also have a kill based economy, encouraging you to go and hunt down other players. We have a special store in the server spawn where you can buy custom items by spending your kills.

As stated, Asdor is full of ruins, aboveground, underground, underwater, and even in the air. These ruins will have plenty of loot in them, so find them before someone else does!

We also have a leaderboard showing the top towns in terms of money count in the town bank, we also have a list of all of the towns (And people) who won the weekly build contest.

Our server is not up yet, but we plan on doing so soon. Do you have any questions, comments, ideas, or just a generic opinion? Tell us! We'd love to hear what you have to say!

posted a message on Running Forge and Bukkit
I'm trying to find something that will allow me to use bukkit plugins, but at the same time, allow me to use Forge mods on a server. So far I have found nothing that's updated. My friend found something, but I think it's only for Windows, and I use a Mac. Does anyone know of something that I can use to run Forge and Bukkit on the same time on a server? Thank you!

I've been looking in the sound files to find the switch sound, and I cannot find it ANYWHERE. I assumed it would be in /random, but as far as I'm concerned, it isn't. I'm talking about the noise that buttons, pressure plates, levers, and other stuff makes. Does anyone know the NAME of the sound file or know why I can't find it? Thank you!

    Quote from conetopia3000

Yes me and my friend and many others have this issue too.
Not sure if its a glitch, or if its to change authentication to prevent fake accounts from being generated.

    C:\Users\candyland\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft
Best idea that I can come up with is, go here, make a copy of your .minecraft folder and place it in a safe area like your desktop or documents. then I would delete the .minecraft folder, restart your computer.

I changed my password. still got the message.
I think its just something new to help avoid people from useing the offline version of the game...
I am thinking the mojang server had too many fake / offline users trying to getupdates ect.. and then he decided to make his servers lag less by requireing a real account before accessing anything minecraft launcher related.

It actually just worked for when I typed in my username and password normally now...weird...

posted a message on Can't log into Minecraft (New launcher maybe?)
I've been trying to log into Minecraft with the new 1.1.1 Launcher, but it says I cannot log back in as adscomics, I typed in my password and everything correctly, heck, I didn't even have to type it in, I already showed up as a user. I thought that it was maybe because I didn't migrate my Minecraft account to Mojang, so I tried doing that, but I haven't gotten an account verification email from them. Is anyone having this same problem and/or knows how to fix it? Thank you!

Here are screenshots of what's going on:

I've been listening to Moog City by C418, and the song was quite minor. After listening to it, I wondered "What is Moog City?" Based on the music, what do you think Moog City is? As in what kind of city it seems like it would be?
