Welcome to AdeptCraft. Adeptcraft is a modded survival server with a focus on world generation and general expansions towards creativity and the original Minecraft, as opposed to the usual technical expansions. I started the server this November, through Skylimit Hosting, and I plan on keeping it up forever, if possible. I will add more to this forum as time goes, but all of the essentials should be in place as of now. If you have any comments, questions, or suggestions, please feel free to post them here.

Simply download the latest version. If you are using MultiMC, this is the only mod that goes in the JAR mods section. All other go in the mods folder section.

Scroll down to the 11th post, by RebelKeith, and download only the Utility pack. Then, scroll down to the 17th post, again by RebelKeith, and download the Core pack.
How to install the mods using MultiMC 4
Here is the link to MultiMC 4 if you don't already have it. Simply download it, and follow my instructions.
2. Add a new instance of Minecraft by clicking the icon on the top right that looks like a paper with a star over it. Name it anything. I recommend naming it "AdeptCraft"
3. Outside of MultiMC, create a new folder for all of the mods you've downloaded, and place all of the mods inside that folder. I recommend naming the folder "AdeptCraft Mods"
4. Right click on your newly created instance, and click "Edit Mods"
5. Under the "Minecraft.jar" tab that should be selected, click "add," navigate to the folder you created with the mods inside, and open only the Minecraft Forge file.
6. Switch to the "Mods Folder" tab inside of MultiMC, and add every mod except Minecraft Forge. This can be easily accomplished by holding down CTRL while clicking each mod.
7. Click "Close," go back to MultiMC, double-click on your instance, click "force update" and log in to your Minecraft/Mojang account. If Minecraft crashes, simply close it, and force the update again. Once Minecraft loads correctly, close it, and go back to MultiMC.
8. Double-click on your instance, log in, and once Minecraft loads, you should have all the mods correctly installed!
You will probably have to edit the configurations for ExtrabiomesXL and Runic Dust. Information on how to do so is below.

How to modify configuration files
1. Open MultiMC, right click on your instance, and click "View Folder"
2. Double-click "Minecraft," then "Config." This should be where all of your mod configuration files should be located.
3. Open the configuration you wish to change with notepad, and replace the text there with what I've posted below. (Ctrl+C to copy all of the configuration below, Ctrl+A inside the notepad to select all of the original, Backspace, Ctrl+V to paste the new code.)

Obtain all of the following bees in a quantity and fashion that allows them to produce their respective materials at a rate faster than that at which an average person would mine the materials. Diamond Bauxite Platinum Iridium Tungsten Titanium Radioactive

Obtain all of the bees in the following branches in a quantity and fashion that allows them to produce their respective materials at a rate faster than that at which an average person would mine the materials. If multiple bees in the same branch produce the same material, you may choose the bee to your liking. Gemstone Mineral Precious Metallic Rusty Nuclear
Apiary Diety
Obtain a sample of every bee species available, and automate the production of every material produced by the combs at a reasonably quick rate. This is quite variable based on the material.
Soul Shards
Mob Puppeteer
Obtain a tier 5 soul shard for every obtainable mob, and use them each in an automatic grinder. These can be individual, or combined with other grinders. You must also create a mob grinder that, using spawners of your choice, is public, fully automatic in terms of level and item storage, and produces levels faster than a single player can pull the experience in. The spawners used in this grinder do not count towards those required for the first half of the challenge.

Obtain a diamond sword with all of the following enchantments, and name it. Yes, it is possible. Use books and an uncrafting table. Soul Steal V Sharpness V Vorpal IV Unbreaking III Looting III
Rules:
No griefing.
No stealing.
No un-warranted murders.
No cheating
Be nice and polite.
Things to know:
The server saves every hour, so I can perform necessary rollbacks.
The server restarts every six hours in order to reduce memory usage.
There are no limits on Mystcraft ages. These are safe, reliable ways to have your own personal base.
Everything is vanilla. No config changes or anything.
The server is on hard, so you WILL die of hunger.
Keep in mind that Gregtech makes a majority of IC2 recipes EXTREMELY expensive and late-game. Plan accordingly.
Donate via PayPal to help the server! ALL donations go towards the server, and nothing else. There are no "perks" to donating, as I consider it unfair. However, donors will be put on the list below, if they so wish.
I encourage pranking on the server. Know the difference between pranking and griefing and such. I am not lenient on bans. That means if you screw someone up, you're gone. No warning. You can re-apply here, and I may consider pardoning you, although this is very unlikely.

I've been searching through servers, and I have run into the problem that there are mostly only predetermined mod sets available. I do not have enough time tonight to sift through every single server host and find one that perfectly suits my needs, so instead, I am relying on one to show up here.
I am looking for a virtual private server host that is able to support quick mod and world file swapping, among the other basic configurations. I plan on using each mod from the Feed the Beast pack, but individually, and at different times. This is temporary, as I will eventually want to use the full FTB pack, and I may want to switch to a basic vanilla server. I want to be able to manage these mods myself, to some extent. If I have to send in the mods beforehand, this is completely fine, so long as I am able to use it and switch it (and the mod's configs) as I need within, say, half a day. I doubt that using separate worlds will be an issue, as most hosts support that. Also, I want to have frequent backups, at most an hour between each. Mods are not known for being stable, least of all in multiplayer...
I would like to use a relatively small server, probably 20 slots to start (although there will not be near that many people on, at least not for awhile), and I'd like anywhere from 2-4 gigabytes of ram. I am relatively computer literate, so if I have to go through some technical processes or learn a few new things, this is fine.
This is the general idea of what I'd like. If you would be able to fulfill my request, please tell me. I want to be able to use this server within 3 days or less. Thanks in advance for your consideration.

I have been looking for a STABLE vanilla server for a long time, and have yet to find one. I'm hoping this will break that pattern. If the server is stable, I will not leave.
Have you ever watched Mindcrack: I consistently watch Etho, Zisteau, and Nebris, however, I watch the other mindcracker's videos on occasion.
