    I think the minigame is very cool, but feels out of place. I always felt like i was just playing a minigame to unlock things, and not doing research to find lost knowlage as in the past installments.
    Maybe your update to 1.7 can be a bigger one, like 4.1, and change some of the research as well as anything else that comes up.


    Maybe removing aura nodes and making everything essentia based power for the next update ;)

    The New Infusing Enchantment system is superb, very nicely done. But why does it have to eat the items? Couldnt you just keep them there as a "Focus" for the enchantment, and it only consumes experience and essentia. It seems a bit overkill to also have it eat an entire anvil just for repair, just make the essentia cost a little more fabrico :) But good job none the less

    So alot of people have been asking for different foci (myself included) and what it there was a way to say, create your own custom focus?
    Maybe you create a 'blank focus' and put it in the center of the infusion alter, and you can combine other foci buy placing them on the pedestals? Like the fire focus + the excavation focus = the fire beam focus which makes a beam of fire, more focused then the orignal fire focas come out of your wand.

    You could even go one step deeper in customization.

    You could even use items as 'Modifiers' Such as including a diamond if you want the crystalline power of the ice focus, or a fire shard to give the fire aspect to it, or a pickaxe to have it destroy blocks. Obvious all these modifiers would take different amounts of essentia.

    This would take a large rewrite to the focus system i can imagine, so maybe the first suggestion is a better more realistic idea.

    The Infusion crafting, as well as the essentia system, and ESPECIALLY the research system, is absolutely amazing in this version of thaumcraft. Superb work azanor!

    The biggest gripe i have is vis and nodes.
    Nodes in all versions of thaumcraft haven't felt like they belong, in theory they are very cool, but dont work well in actuality. The whole vis system seems (even tho very nice looking) feels tacky. I researched node in a jar as one of my first few researches, and nodes arn't that hard to come by... Going out adventuring is very fun trying to find those nodes, but i think that finding other worldgen things would be just as fun. Like going out trying to find tainted land, or a magic forest, or even a totem would be fun and worth it. (Maybe even the old TC2 Monoliths or something like them)

    And the types of vis just feels wierd, i long for the days when there was just one kind

    I think it would be cool going out and finding a node (Very rare and has a limited about of vis) and finding this substance called vis, and it can be used in some recipes. its like its own resource still, but doesn't have that eerie connection to essentia that is present...

    Wands could be powered by different kinds of essentia, through a machine that puts it into your wand.

    But what about the Arcane crafting table you ask?
    It could be like the old infusion table! but no vis :)

    just my 2 cents though.

    So heres how i see things:
    All items and blocks in minecraft are made out of aspects, from Terra to Messis there are alot of different kinds... When it is in a liquid form it is essentia, but there is another form of these aspects called Vis.
    Nobody quite knows why this form is the way it is, with no mass and no way of detecting it, it is all around us and we dont even know... Living things has this vis throughout them and as far as we know that is what makes life. Aura Nodes happen on the rare occasion that some of the same vis types collide and make a "magnet" of sorts for that same type of Vis, that is why after a while a node can refill, it is simpley attracting more vis. Now vis can be turned into essentia but as of now we know no way to reverse such an effect. There is also a theory that different kinds of essentia can be combined to create new types, making rare essentia more common. This would obviously take a large amount of energy and power.

    Thats the puzzling thing! i did find a totem about 40 blocks away, but the eerie doesnt seem to come from there, and if it doesnt spread ill just build my something over it :P Thanks tho!

    Can you add a config option for the circles of totems on the top of hills? There really cool in all but i play with the highlands mod, and they spawn way to frequently, an the eerie biomes spawn in random patches in forests and such,

    Also on the topic of the new blocks vs stay vanilla, I really want cherry trees to be plantable outside the one biome, i think if you added cherry leaves and cherry wood (looks like oak but the center has a more pinkish center, its planks could be pinkish.) and maybe one more wood, it would round it out very well... and maybe a few new flowers...
