I know I'm probably a little behind everyone on this but...

INFERNO MINES COMPLETION GET WIN ACCOMPLISH DUNNIT I WIN YOU LOSE I BEAT IT SUCK IT VECHS!
    (Screenshots, for anyone who cares.)
Overreacting, I know. But I'm excited. You know why? Because eternal battle can suck a ****, that's why.
I am late to the party, as I said, but just for my own sake I'm going to do a little comments and critique.

Warning: I've written essays about half as long as this. Read at your own risk

-Just going to do one general comment for athesthetics. The map looked nice, but in general it was a little bland, and most areas pretty much looked the same as everything else. They were ok, but they could defiantly be improved with just a little block variation. Don't ask me what, I'm no interior designer.

-The start was fun, and I enjoyed the 3 paths idea a lot. I took skylight C, and I must say, I thought the amount of loot was going to unbalance the map, but it really didn't. (Especially in the areas off of the art gallery. Having basically infinite disposable weapons and armour from all those chest really helped.)

-White wool was fine. Basically just a generic starter dungeon that introduces the concept of "special" mobs with the Flamevenoms, which IMHO, are the easiest and most useful special mobs in the whole map. This was good.

-Lower Maynes. Kinda meh. Basically just upper mines extended. The TnT cart part where you could send them ahead to blow spawners was pretty awesome though. As for the weird skelly stack rail, there wasnt really enough reason to tangle with that. Most of it was a little to much same ol thing though.

    -Everforge.
    Re: Witches.
Vaks. Wat r u doin. Vaks, Stahp. Staph, srsly. plz no.
In all honesty, I liked the witches in this area. They added challenge, there was only one spawner so you weren't swarmed with them, and without them it would have been another pushover skelly dungeon. After all, the Maps aren't called Super Nice-and-friendly-and-make-everything-easy. Also, bonus points for the look of this place.

-Outer darkness. I said I wasn't going to talk about asthetics, but I just loved the look of the vines and fence posts here. It really felt like an overgrown and infested mineshaft. This place wasn't to hard, it was pretty fun. It felt like caving in normal MC with added challenge.

-Mellow Cavern. Too easy. Maybe just put like another funbox or along the way down. I just sort of just jumped down with my feather fallers right to the wool, so It probably took me less than a minute the first time I did it. Maybe up the spawn rate on the creeper cave spider things. Do something, its a breeze compared to the other I2 areas.

-Lost caverns. Found it by accident investigating the skelly-blaze stack. I dug into the hallway. Th transition area was absolutly badass. The actual cavern really didnt need witches, especially since it was so small. I could have just been the actual Kamyu arena.

-Hane's disgrace. Lol invisible cave spiders. Wait, invisible cave spiders. , invisible cave spiders! I hate them with a passion. With the gear you have at that point, I think its too much to ask people to wade into the mess near the fleecybox, though. Maybe with protection armour, but there isn't any except for the gold set near the rock crusher(and some leather crap in random lewt). I had to tunnel. P.S. Blaze platform lol power miner to the rescue.

-Lush Ruins. Too many spawners man. Enough is enough. I'm pretty sure the way you made the general ruins was generate abandoned mine shafts and replace everything. Replacing the rails with spawners was a mistake. It makes a ridiculous amount of lag and mobs, and while you don't even have to conquer those ruins, the lag from the spawners is just not tolerable and there's no way around that. Please please please take out like half the spawners from that place. I tunneled, bridged and enderpearled the wool, and for the next area, I just ran. Cave spiders aren't very fast.

-Flame warp. Not sure if tribute to planar warp, or just running out of ideas. Also pretty easy compared to the hell you have to got through to get there. You can just pearl the wool.

-I just realized I haven't talked about the intersections yet. They looked cool, especially #2. The speed spawner was very handy just all around, really like the little forward bases provide, saved the time setting one up yourself.

-Wilhelm Cliffs. Moar spawners. Wraiths if you're feeling particularly evil. Much too easy to be accessed from the same intersection as Dumb-Blast.

-VM. Easily my favourite VM. I hate setting up bases, and this was one of my favourite things about the map.

-Dumb Blast. I've seen a lot of ing about this area. It wasn't actually as hard as everyone seems to think it was. I've watched Rock's Lp by now, and he just tunnels. The Zistykins are ridiculous to fight, but its pretty easy to rush, Powerminer the spawner and then retreat and shoot the dumb pigs. LOLOLOLO @pigstatue

-Salire Castle. Loved the use of jump boost. Honestly it's too easy though. The fleecyboss can be taken out with just a bow and its not that big of a deal.

-Outer Inferno main cavern. It was called like camp ember or something. The lava made getting iron really easy. I didn't explore most of this, I just took the rail line. It was one of the worst looking areas though. Too much contrast. The dinnerbone fight was awesome though.

-Castle Ember. This is where witches actually ed me off. The terrain made it really annoying to fight them. The I cheesed the wool with lava. (I had to use it somewhere!) There was a lot of potion supplies here, that really helped in Eternal Battle.

-Cavern of Last Respite. I have a feeling you made this just to put that one trap and troll fleecybox in. I really didn't need the diamonds. (BattleCry)

-Art Gallery. Awesome ; ) Keeping with the tradition of the joke wool I see.

-Zistonian Battlecry. hrgahdgadjhdvfkahsbdfdhajfrgahjfbafhisklhasdjhfkjsdhusralhjsdnalvs; That was me in this area. Getting to the wool was simple. Leaving with it was OMFGAWD. The infinite diamonds and xp bottles singlehandedly allowed me to beat Eternal battle.
    *A note on Thornguards.
My least favorite mob, they can rot in hell for a thousand years, and so can Vechs for creating them.

-Blacked Archive. Again, I'm not really sure if this was supposed to be a remake of Blackened library, but it felt like one. I can't really talk about gameplay her, because this was my test with Invisibility pots. The results? They are indeed as unbelievably OP as everyone thinks they are. I thought the fleecyboss might kill me when I saw it, but it couldn't do a thing to my bow. Invisibility is VERY op.

-Eternal Battle. this area. Legitimately. There's a line. I died so many times in here, I lost so much good gear. This is where almost all my Screaming Diamonds went. I grinded for hours in battlecry until I literally got the best gear in the game. Even then I couldn't take the Black wool fortress head on. I had to tunnel up into the wall, tnt bomb the ghasts, snipe a single pigmanst, and then chug a regen potion and jump in to see if I could get that one wool. It took so many tries and enDERPeals. Finally I got it and it felt so good. I went to see if I could find the exit, and suddenly, ING DEATHBLOOM. I survived, but omigod I would have been ed off if I died after that kerfuffle. I realized I could just shoot the wooden button, which I hope you intended, (Plz don't take that out) and then the lava. I still had fire resist left over from my leap into the Pig castle so I survived, but seriously man? The deathbloom lava combination would have been fine coming out of some lesser dungeon, but this garbage after beating that lag/mob/death/ fest? There's mean, and then theres unfairly, soul crushingly dumb. This was the second.

Overall, I liked the map, and I would say it is one of the better maps I've played up untill eternal battle. There are some thing that could be improved, and some things that desperately need change *Coughlushruins/eternalbattleCough* but I enjoyed myself and that's what counts. I suppose beating eternal battle did give me a very nice sense of accomplishment :) Anyway, I'm saying farewell to the map now. Goodbye, Inferno Mines.

Need a hint for Inferno Mines:

I'm at the glass intersection between Wilhelm Cliffs, the Hallowed Overlook, and the unnamed area which has a large lapiz cube surrounded by netherwort. It's the unnamed area I'm trying to hack into. I've found a area behind the far left wall filled with gravel, dirt, clay, etc. But that's all I can see. What should I be looking for in this area? Is the lapiz cube the key?

The key is the water bottles you get from the wither skellies. Infinite potions. The lapis also has some decent loot.

Just a quick reminder for people, the abbreviation of Spellbound Caves is SC. Not SBC. Likewise, the abbreviation of Sunburn islands is SI, not SBI. seriously people, is it that hard?

Honestly, I don't see what difference it makes. I've seen both used, and honestly, I see SBC and SBI far more commonly. The compound words can split into 2 letters or one when abbreviating, and I'm 95% sure (correct me if I'm wrong) there's no official, super hostile sanctioned way to abbreviate the titles of the maps. You got the meaning either way, and honestly, that's the point of using abbreviations in the first place.

I'm curious as to how Legendary can be under Sof2 when not all of it is underground?

You know how all of legendary has a giant roof of lava to prevent people from walking over the roof to other areas? That. The giant, open sky areas are dug out of the lava by ancient creatures with incredibly powerful technology, known as Magmatic Compilators. Their most powerful tool is simply called the EDIT, which gives them the power to create entire landscapes in the blink of an eye if the eye was covered in molasses, This tool was the basic catalyst for all the regions in this world.
(incidentally, anvil broke the lava roof in legendary, with the extra world height the player can now bridge to whatever not in sequence area he pleases.)

I've been thinking about how the Super Hostile maps are linked recently. If we were to say that all Super Hostile maps took place on the same planet, where would they be related to each other; geographically, along a timeline, and other stuffs.

I'm thinking that Legendary, Inferno Mines, and the two Sea of Flame maps are all in the same region. Inferno Mines and Legendary can be linked because of the sandstone (maybe the Inferno Mines are located under Legendary?) and Legendary and Sea of Flame (the original, at least) take place in the same place because the original SoF island appears in Legendary. (So maybe SoF1 takes place after Legendary, when the sandstone and the other islands have been eroded away by the lava.)

So, anyway, that was me thinking about such things as these. What do you guys think about my theory, and do you have any of your own?

Makes sense. It could kind of be layers of the same planet. Infernal sky would be the highest, (Duh) then SoF2 because of openskyness, then legendary is probably under that, and SoF1 is inside of legendary. Inferno Mines would be beneath legendary. SBC and Kaizo would both be underground (again, duh) probably around the Inferno mines or legendary level. Id' like to think BD (1 and 2) are the same sort of place as legendary. Nightmare realm could be anywhere. it could be watching you this very second... Canopy Carnage and Eternal Deep don't fit at all, and neither does SBI if the planet is,and i imagine it to be, covered in Lavas. As for Waking up and Gift(WARPED), they already have backstory enough.

I really like these maps but I just have a question. Some dungeons are filled with a TON of monsters and there is almost no way to get through. How on earth am I supposed to pass them!?

    Run.
    Run faster.
    Don't stop running.
    Don't look back.
Did you look back? You've just died. Sorry about that.
    Go back with new gear.
    Repeat.

Anyone know where I can find a brewing stand in Inferno Mines? I thought I remembered there being some in Everforge, but I looked around and couldn't find any. I have an urgent need to become invisible, so any help would be great.

You have blazes (Oh god so many blazes) and you have cobble
Lower mines theres some, the railway from I2 to I1are just some places to find it.

So getting part of the monument is a waste of time? Them why are you asking around to see where to wool is? By your logic, getting the wool is also a waste of time.

Which part of that was for the monument?

    Nope, only Kamyu

So all that was for zombie heads and broke ass armour. Seems like a waste of time.

Also, can you disable witch spawners with light? Some of those spawners were a huge pain to find, and I'd be happy to know that i can just torch spam next time.
