Jns20 posted a message on Automatic Player Count BannersSome new updates:Posted in: Server Support and Administration- Current player count is now displayed under the 'Now' mark (unless your graph is really small)
- Port is shown in graph title if it is not default 25565
- Graph title is now case sensitive so..
PLAY.Quadrantal.com
versus
play.QUADRANTAL.com

xP I only thought it looked a bit strange. Maybe for larger servers, this isn't much of a problem, but my little humble server with 1 person on will never hit 0.5 people.

citricsquid posted a message on Applying to be a moderatorPosted in: Forum Discussion & InfoQuote from Medoly
This thread consists of:
30%: users asking the questions answered in the OP
30%: users asking is they are in the current batch
30%: users ranting about the system
10%: useful content
Not to criticize or anything, keep on posting.
100% users thinking if they post here it improves their chances of being selected, when in reality it is based off of how helpful they are normally, when it's not a question of "if I'm helpful they'll give me power!!!". How many people that have posted in this thread have ever made it on to being a mod? maybe 1 or 2 at most...
I had to unsubscribe from this thread because there's so much dumb posting. -

That estimate is incorrect, it now takes around 1-2 months to go through each batch of applications, depending on the size.
Yeah, he quoted Citric's post from 1 year ago, so I would think that it wouldn't be accurate anymore.

qtpriest posted a message on how to stop some permissions from being inherited PEXPosted in: Server Support and AdministrationQuote from webrosc
typically you can remove a permission by adding a - infront of it
e.g. - essentials.kits.donator <-- gives permission
- -essentials.kits.donator <--removes permission
take a look at this thread too, its aimed at problems like this http://www.minecraft...-problems-here/
you also spelt donator wrong in your post, if it was copied from your permissions file check the spelling is correct there
with pex that actually wont work. while it does work for most to negate a permission but usually permission files will read up until they get to the point of noticing the group inherits from the previous group it will stop at the enabled permission and allow the command to go through same thing goes for permissions nodes that were negated earlier in a inherited group . for instance adding - -bukkit.command.plugins in your default group will make it so that default and all inheriting groups can do the command /plugins. then say you added the permission to your admins group so that admins could see plugins well just because of the negated permission in default the one in admins wont work so it does in fact work both ways or well .. not work i should say lol.. but anyways back to the question, how to make only certain permissions available for certain groups and not others? right. well it is possible (well the most conventional anyways) is to remvove the /kit permissions from your groups completely yes, remove them then take those permissions and add them to a sole group just for kits and each kits will have its own group' for example
groups: donorgrroup1: permissions: inherit: - default - kitdonator donorgroup2: permissions: inherit: - donorgroup1 - kitdonator2 kitdonator: permissions: - kit.permissions kitdonator2: - kit.permission
in that example you can see the group do infact inherit eachothers permissions but also do not share kits because since kits are its own group u can designate who and what group will get them -

gerbil posted a message on Error With launching Minecraft 1.6.4Haven't seen this one in a while.Posted in: Java Edition Support
You have a Toshiba that shipped with the wrong video drivers.
You must uninstall the ATI video drivers because you don't have any ATI hardware, which is why they crash. -

Then it may be corrupted.
If your world got corrupted you can try to repair it with MCEdit. Open the offending world in MCEdit, press 'ctrl-i' and select 'Repair regions' in the dialogue which pops up. Once this has completed, save your world and exit MCEdit.
To download MCEdit, go to http://www.mcedit.net/ and choose the version appropriate for your OS. -

getfugu posted a message on Server is online and others can connect but not me.Hey, I actually experienced this same problem, however I don't get to play minecraft at school XD.Posted in: Server Support and Administration
The problem is when you start a server at your house, you can't connect to your own computer via your own computer's public IP address. What you need to do is type in "localhost" in your server list in replace of your computer's public IP, which is what you used at school (since the computer at school and your own computer, also the one hosting the server I assume, are two different IPs the school computer can connect to your own). In addition, say you have a friend over, (or are just using another computer that isn't the one hosting the server) you cannot use "localhost" or your computer's public IP address. You need to go to system preferences (or the PC equivalent, I use a mac, but the solution to your problem is the same) and click
on your network or internet/wireless portion. There, there will be some sort of reference as too what your computer's local IP address is. This is usually similar to "192.168.0.0.__" use that IP in the "server IP" part of minecraft server selection (this is for the computer on the same wireless as your server host computer but not the host computer itself; see above for that).
This should solve your problem, if it doesn't, there are three things that could have happened:
1: I'm a lunatic and said absolutely everything here incorrectly and/or completely wrong.
2: You did not follow my very precise and well organized instructions exactly (sarcasm is way to hard to express on the internet with text *sighs*).
3: I misspelleddoijrgreregnojrk something on my very instructive, giant wall of text.
Hope this helps, and if it didn't or at least didn't make you laugh, I will eat my hat (and or myself considering that would kill me since I AM FUGU or a japanese pufferfish dish that sometimes kills people)

There is no craftbukkit 1.7.2. Bukkit has stated that they have no support with any builds using 1.7.2.

A player from your school tries to connect to your server at home.
A "packet" containing all the players information is sent to the server.
Your schools firewall blocks that "packet" because it thinks it is malware or a virus.
Your server NEVER receives that packet.

1) Move the save into your server folder.
2) Highlight, then copy the name of the save.
3) Go to your server.properties , open it with notepad.
4) Where it says, , paste the name of your save.
5) Save n' Exit, and you're done!

This can mean a couple of thinks.
1) You Ping got to large for the server to handle
2) The server got full.
3) The server Terminal kicked you (unlikely)
