posted a message on Default vs. Large Biomes maps
I don't wish to be mean in any way here, but that is exactly what LARGE biomes means.
This isn't exactly a new discovery, it was an announced feature. Just sayin' -_-

Seems like a good way to add content to ocean biomes with sunken ships and such.
Personally, though, I think they should fix the current world generation and ocean-floor generation before they create any more structures.

posted a message on Zelda OR Call Of Duty?????
    Hmmm... which to choose?
A money-grubbing generic FPS or an action/adventure 3rd person hack, slash, and puzzle game?
Legend of Zelda takes the cake.

posted a message on Ghast Jockeys!
I like this idea. Undead riding demons? Heck yes.

But methinks one thing needs to be changed. If this spawns as a completely separate mob from both ghasts and wither skeletons, then there should be a special drop for it.

Why not have the wither skeleton head drop %100 from it? This gives it more of an incentive to seek out and kill it, and it means mojang can go all out with the difficulty on this thing, if it always drops something so rare.

posted a message on Throwing potions farther; pulling them back
I agree, not only does this keep you from being unintentionally affected by our own potion, but it decreases the OP'ness of insta-throw harming potions, although they were already counter-acted by short range.

The only problem I see with this, is if it has the same range as a bow, potions become very OP because you could snipe with harming or other potions. Perhaps giving it 1/4 the range of a bow would fix this?

posted a message on Suggestions: Dead Biome
Sounds like a great, well though out suggestion, only I have a few problems with it.

    1. Not much reason to go into it.
While there is sometimes treasure, more mobs to fight, and a small chance of getting a new ingot, there is little reason to go in. Possibly add some sort of treasure in the middle of it (guarded by wither boss?), a much higher ore spawn rate (as it is dangerous to mine there), or some powerful (but not massively OP), expensive to make end-game recipes that involve dark ingots.

    2.Spreading of the dead biome
As always, one has to assume people will try to use this as a grief tool. If the biome aggressively spread, some troll could lead it towards peoples houses, or towns, and that town would be overrun with mobs, and people would starve because nothing grows. You could fix this either by having dead biomes always surrounded by water/river, touching the surrounding land only in a few places, or by having some sort of item (similar to Terraria's "Purification Powder") that converts dead biome to one of the regular overworld biomes.

Other than that, having aggressively spreading dead biome would encourage the player(s) to work (together) to stop the biome from spreading, which makes for a fun mechanic that causes you to actually care about the surrounding landscape, gives you a continuous goal to work on (Keeping the dead biome under control), and allows for some interesting crafting possibilities.
    You have my support.

posted a message on Integrate "The Aether" into the 1.5 Update?
While the Aether is a great mod, I doubt it will be integrated wholesale into Minecraft. Too many items in one update, not enough time for artists to catch up, and of course, not everything would completely "fit" within Minecraft. (although most of the mod does.)

However, something similar, such as the sky islands that were planned but never used, might be seen in a future update, and I hope it is, to complete the "Heaven (currently not implemented) - Earth (over-world) - Limbo (End) - Hell (Nether)" structure.
A Dimension with a bunch of floating islands and a way to traverse the skies? Yes, please.

posted a message on Iron and Gold Ore Item
Oh, ok., I get this now.

I see where you are coming from here. I too find it annoying that things like coal are affected by fortune, but necessary items like iron and gold aren't. Ok, yeah, I could see this being smoothly integrated into the game without really changing anything except this one problem.

As much as this makes sense, methinks some of the community might oppose it because it changes something that has been constant since iron was introduced into survival. (From the very start.) But besides that one worry, you have my support.

That happens to be the most irrational and rage-induced $0.02 that I have ever heard about SMP.
