Just for curiosity, why use a third part tool to generate a log when I already posted the FML logs in the first place?
For me, looks like there are some incompatibilities within the pack because I'm not the first one to complain about this weird crashes - but no one seems to have a solution.
Is in the pack man... Is not even made by me. I'm trying to debug what's happen to the world that's making me crash. And yes I look for similar crash reports (google/forum). And is a RANDOM crash. If you can't read the logs (or the post) you can't help at all. How I'm suppose to remove a mod, play for 1-3h until the game crashes (or not...) than repeat it for the 220 mods in the pack?
Already happen crafting (several times in the Ender IO crafting/terminal), walking, etc.. Quite random crash, same description every time but I can't manage to find the cause.
My Minecraft would crash if i had 250 updates at once I do believe...
So, the bug in the lighting system is most likely the reason for the huge amount of updates.
That still doesn't explain the changes that have occurred to fluids updating though.
Or it may function somewhere close to the same level where light and fluid updates are on the same page.
If that's the case that also explains why the fluids are loading the way they are.
So, fixing the light would reduce the amount of updates when entering the nether, along with fixing how lava/water flows.
This needs to be worked on... maybe it'll be next?
I didn't see any fluid problems yet after upgrading to 1.10. And the number of updates in the nether maybe is tied to your distance of view - more distance, more blocks to update the light, more lag (the nether is definitely more resource intense in this update because of this stupid blocks). They never fixed the light issues in the game and add a block (an infinite amount of blocks) in a place where the light always change (fire - ghasts always shooting everywhere - and lava flow) and the block change his light accordingly with the light receive... and the light decay over time as a result of a bug or - less likely - design... they need to change the behavior of this block for sure.
Distance of view is completely bugged since 1.8, but setting this to a safe level will not perform the miracle that is making this design of yours work property (the magic number is 12 and up - 10, at least for me, do not work well and mob cap go way lower than it should be).
A hostile mob system with only one layer with half of the thing covered with water canals - and with four drop locations... Man, this work slow, so slow you'll think your game is broken or something. Three words for you: Multilayered, Optimized and Covered. If you're having problems finding or is trying by your own I recommend you to start on the Minecraft Wiki for some information on how to do it right (or to find a design you like to recreate or copy). If you wanna go crazy there are hundreds of different designs on youtube.
One word: Accessibility. Is that kind of feature designed to help people with disabilities to play the game more easily (or to diminish the pain in use some devices that are not as suitable as a PC for gaming) - its not to like or dislike. Its the same question if the closed captions are good or bad...
And thinking in likability (and is an Accessibility feature too) I'm waiting for a auto-walk toggle like in Bethesda open world games - that is a must in Minecraft. Man, walking 3000 blocks holding that worn out "W" key its sad when you have RSI. The good thing in the 1.10 is that you can control the elytra using only the mouse - less painful than walk, waaaay faster and you can put your W to rest for a while.
It could be very possible that the reason it is so slow is because you have a computer that is old, the world has problems uploading the new blocks because they are getting updated, for example each magma block has to put out the amount of light according to how much ambient light is being recieved by each and every magma block, or it may be that your render distance is too far, try toggling it down.
p.s. 1.10 was NOT very buggy for me at all.
Yeah, the magma blocks are probably the reason for so many chunk updates at once (but not for the game runs bad like the guy says). Mine go up to 250-500 updates when I enter the nether in 1.10.2 (and always go crazy high when I go flying extra fast with the elytra/punch bow trick), but is only for a few seconds after enter or load unloaded chunks in the nether - no performance issues (just some weird data), for me at least.
The only issue I have in game is the light update bugs - but this bug is like the most unwanted feature of Minecraft since ever.
Nope; the game selects any item at random, it doesn't matter what slot it is in; there is no mention of that anywhere on the Wiki, including on the Talk page where they mention the code:
Exactly - there is no order, it only repairs the "equipped items" wherever slot they are (my armor is always repaired first than my sword - what breaks what this guy says). And I confirm this by experience repairing tools in a spawner trap - about three days ago I found a villager selling mending for 24 emeralds... so now I have every item possible with the enchant on.
When did they put a cooldown time in the weapons? Last time I checked, weapons simply made your hits stronger (diamond>iron>stone>wood>your fist). There's no special timing to using them.
1.9 is the Combat Update xP - the cooldown was one of the first things they put in.
Rodabon above make it even more clear comparing the new with the old system. But now some weapons have not only a damage modifier counting in the swing cd, but the special move. I guess only the sword (slash) and ax (shield break) have for now - but probably i'm outdated. And it do not prevent spam-clicking - you can click at will at cost of considerable (basic reducing your enchanted diamond sword to a punch level) damage output.
Are you waiting the cooldown (every time you swing a weapon there's a cd - if you hit again and do not wait enough it hit weaker and without effect) to refresh?

EDIT: Here some new crash and log if it helps.
