I start up minecraft and the login news thing doesnt load and every time i try to login it says "cannot connect to minecraft.net" Even with full internet access. Someone please help me!

In other news, our new apartment will have a one terrabit Reddit connection! And it works for the rest of the interwebs as well, I guess.
This is happening to me too, but It's never acted like this on an update before, but I just joined last March so I've never actually seen a Seecret Friday Update.
I havent either but from what i know about notch and minecraft there is a slight chance this might be an update.
When i try to log into minecraft it says "can't connect to minecraft.net" constantly!!!! even with internet access. I have a theory since it is friday, maybe notch decided to update minecraft!
