...................................................................The Day of the Wolf
While Uyir continues to slowly ponder Vernon in front of the crates, his deep concentration is broken by the chorus of howling wolves. The sound of their song can clearly be heard through the gaping hole in the rubble that Ace had left in their wake some hours earlier.
Uyir glances up from towards the gaping hole, sighing quietly. He never really liked wolves, they travelled in packs. Difficult to fight alone, and whatnot. However, he was getting bored sitting here in this room, and may as well go onwards! He grabs his shield and glances around the room, before climbing out of the hole to Waise at large.
Jaxton curses and throws himself towards the door, trying to frantically open it, and, if he actually manages to do that, scrambled through it and closes it, pressing his weight against the door
Jaxton flips a coin: Heads he stays and takes precautions, Tails he leaves. Heads it is. He begins shoving boxes towards the growling box to form a barricade against it. Once it’s sufficient, he begins opening boxes, starting with the ones close to the door
Jaxton chuckles a little, before realizing that he woke up here mysteriously, and opens the door, glancing around quickly to see if there’s anything particularly dangerous in there, and, if not, running through
Jaxton walks out the door, and finds himself standing on a ledge in a cave. Up ahead, he can see a lit lantern, but between it and him is a deep chasm; likely deep enough to kill him if he fell down. A simple rope bridge is the only clear way across the chasm.
Jaxton sighs and flips a coin: Heads he takes the bridge, tails he goes back. It lands tails. He heads back into the altar room: Heads he goes north, tails east.
...huh. Tails again. He opens the east door and looks inside
Jaxton awakens, lying on a strange stone altar surrounded by candles in an unknown room of some unknown place. The room is silent and empty except for the three doors that likely lead to other rooms.
Jaxton glances around and wonders where he is, and deciding that luck is the best way to decide what to do, digging in his pockets for a coin and finding a quarter "Alright, Heads Tails for north, Heads Heads for East, Tails Tails for South, Tails Heads to flip again" He flips it twice, getting Tails, then another Tails, and heads down the to the southern door.
