Are you looking for Minecraft hosting or a VPS?

It's going to be used for Minecraft. I know how to configure a VPS for it though so if you have an offer for a barebones linux VPS feel free to offer it.

Just looking for offers for a small project a friend and I plan on working on.

    I'm hopping to get:
    • ~1GB of RAM
    • Not OpenVZ
    • Server Hardware (No consumer CPUs please)
    • SSD
    • Dedicated IP
    • East Coast US (New York City or Pennsylvania prefered)
I'm not overly sensitive towards price, Under $25 if possible but I'm looking for reputable no nonsense here so if you're over the price feel free to post and let me decide.

Tekkit Experience: I have been interested in Tekkit quite a bit recently but do not have any sort of long term experience with it just a little bit of mussing around on non whitelist servers, making IC2 machines, automating the creation of a few things etc. Nothing major.
Pictures of Previous Builds (Not needed but helps your chances): Nothing I would want to show off. It's all really boring to be perfectly honest.

Thank you for the information on OpenVZ guys. I've been trying to avoid fly by night server hosts, this is kind of my last step before picking one, I've been doing a good bit of research on the different approved companies. Keep the pitches coming.

Why do you not want OpenVZ? We have some very high-performance plans available and if you're interested you can PM me.

Nothing is wrong with OpenVZ by itself but providers who tend to use OpenVZ often oversell. Xen/KVM helps mitigate that problem somewhat and I know I will be getting the resources I am paying for.

Hello I am looking to startup a small Minecraft server to play with several friends and was looking for hosting. I am willing to pay more for quality and to find what I am looking for specifically.
    • KVM/Xen VPS (No OpenVZ please)
    • 1-2GB of RAM anywhere in there should be fine to start
    • The ability to increase plan if I need to
    • SSD
    • Custom JAR support
    • Dedicated IP
    • MySQL
    • Webhosting and Voice hosting is always a plus
Try and seperate yourself from the competition. I'm looking for a reputable host and really do not want to compromise on anything. My budget is high enough don't worry price is not my highest priority here.

What are we missing in this texture pack? All I can see is emeralds and tripwire hooks anyone else notice anything? Maybe we could either fan update or just put in the default texture till ExtraNoise gets around to updating.

What is your Minecraft IGN?: Zokudu

    How old are you: 21

Have you ever been banned: No

If so, from what server, why:

Name a couple of things you learned from the rules: Most of it seemed self explanitory. The anti lag stuff was really worth knowing like no really small farms and no mob traps

Name a couple of things you learned from the guide: How to earn rupies, the different chat channels, also the map was pretty dope not gonna lie.

Tell us a bit about yourself, and what you can add to our community: I'm a casual Minecraft player. I'm looking for some place to play peacefully. I'm not really creative but I'm here to foster friendships with a robust town system

Are any current clients or potential clients interested in shared hosting with the MCDash control panel?

What do you mean shared host? As in not a private VPS like the MCMyAdmin setup?

    Hey OP,

I'm not sure if you've found a host yet, but I would like to refer you to this thread. It's just to get to know more about your needs, in which we can then start building out packages for people such as you.

    http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/723500-minecraft-hosting-survey/

Filled it out for you. I tend to shop around quite a bit after a few months so when you guys release I'll take a look.

posted a message on Minecraft Hosting Survey.
    1. What is your age?
    I am 21 years old.

    2. Will an organized and easy to use website affect your decision to buy a Minecraft server?
I am a sucker for a nice website. Aesthetics as well as easy to find information is very important to me. I don't want to have to dig around to find where your servers are located or what the hardware really is.

    3. Does the price of the Minecraft server affect your decision to buy a Minecraft server?
I would say to a point but after messing with cheapo hosts and going just on price I have an appreciation for why some hosts are more expensive. If both hosts fit my needs then I start to look at price but not before.

    4. Do free benefits help you decide into buying a Minecraft server?
Define free benefits? Nothing is truly free. When I am looking at a host again I have a clear idea what I am looking for. I already have web hosting so if it is offered free that is not swaying my decision at all but offering MySQL which I will use without an additional fee is a large bonus. It all depends on my needs. That is why I appreciate hosts who offer options and flexibility to make a plan where I am not paying for what I am not using.

    5. Have you had problems with other hosts? (if so please list them)
Somewhat I don't want to name any companies in particular but I have had issues with cludgy setups where I have 3 different control panels or the inability to use pre-release JAR's. high latency with a company that did not offer a test server.

    6. Does the location of the service matter and why?
Yes very much so. I am very spoiled in that most of the game servers I play on are in close proximity to me. I can never play comfortably on a West Coast server and I even tried a French server one time. A close Central US or East Coast US server is exactly what I am looking for.

    7. Does 24/7 support/sales matter to you and why?
It doesn't have to be 24/7 but when I have an issue and I keep an eye on the Live Support link on a website I want it to show up at some point throughout the day. I always feel bad putting in support tickets for small questions. So yes a quick response is high up on my list of priorities.

    8. How many players would you want on the server at any given time?
My server is very small maybe about 8 people on at the same time max.

    9. How many hours a day do you spend playing Minecraft?
I do not personally play a lot. My server is for my gaming community I just run it I may jump on for 2 hours a week to test things out though.

    10. Other than Minecraft, what computer games do you play?
Counter Strike: Source and World of Warcraft are my other two main games I play.

We meet all your requirements except the east coast location (we host in Phoenix). You can try our demo server for a connection test though: demo.mclayer.com

Your website lists you as out of stock of 512 MB servers. Do you know when you may be getting more in stock?
