    Well To Greener Pastures just reached 5000 downloads in the last day due to most likely Rock's lp of the map! Which you should definitely check out :) . I would like to say thanks to all my beta testers/lpers and especially Zjarr whose been a huge help for balancing the map. Its been an amazing learning experience for me and is more popular than I could possibly have ever known. Look forward to future in development maps but for now if you want to play a mini-map that I have made you could check out Terabitia which is an Strawberry jam entry made over the period of 48 hours?     Community Question:
    How much time do you spend planning your map? Do you think of areas ahead of time, come up with gameplay and draw pictures of areas, or just wing it? I'm interested to see what everyone says. :)

    An interesting question. I've never tried this... If I were to guess without testing it, I'd say it must have something to do with the current duration, though I can't be sure. For all we know it could corrupt the world. I'll test this later with different potion durations.
    Now, while taking a break from building my first CTM map, I began building a Minecraft Museum. While making a mob section, I had to make statues of the 4 largest mobs, the Enderdragon, ghast, Wither, and giant because they are to large to contain. Is there any way I could immobilize them instead? I made a potion that does it, but it only works on flightless mobs.

    That sounds awesome. I'd try not to include too many side quests, maybe 1 per intersection max? (Not sure if you're even doing linear branching but whatevs :P) If you want to include more, make sure that you keep them short and sweet! Cool idea Com! :)

    DsD would have already been released if Rift wasn't a thing ;)

    What does everyone think? It's a very bleak area (no mountain though... heh, heh) and the beacon will give off a potion effect. The wool is directly beneath the beacon, and the main monsters here will be spiders. Although, it's a RH area, so there won't be much threat really xD

    Any feedback/suggestions/comments etc?

    Looks very good! I like how you used clay in this picture. Maybe have webs around the base of the beacon? Don't know what else to add. Structures wouldn't really fit this area... (Totally helpful feedback)

    I think the best option is 2. . 6 is very generic and boring. And for the love of everything don't use 4 or 5. :)

    @ragirk Looks ok, maybe some lava falls and more towers? The landscape is very bland.

    Community Question:
    When should the player reach the victory monument? Or does it really matter? The monument has always been a hub and a home for the player on their adventure (important early game, decreases travel time) and also a vital part to completing the map (obviously, but the vm in the end game goal). In recent maps we've had the monument at I1 and up to I3 (can't think of any I4 or I5, might be derpin').

    UT3 - After I1
    IM - After I3
    TGP - I1

    So what do you think? And when will you be putting the monument in your next map?

    Hey guys, haven't been as active in the gaming community recently. Just thought I'd pop in here. I started school last Wednesday which has taken up a fair amount of my time.

    Back when I started playing runescape I chose the name firearm261. I have no idea why, I have 0 interest in firearms. However, this name evolved over time, always having something to do with fire. When I first started playing minecraft I chose CraftingFire. My first name on the forums was Made of Fire (I think), but I soon became bored of that. Now, you may ask, "How does Zjarr relate to fire you idiot?" It actually does in fact. I inputted fire into google translate and eventually found zjarr, Albanian for fire. I'm very happy with the name and only wish that I could change my minecraft account.

    Also, good job on all the screenshots and reviews guys!!! Lots of good stuff on this thread recently.
