Awesome! It's a shame you were unable to make a tutorial for it. Is there any possibility you could post your save or a schematic for it? I've followed your designs for awhile now and have played minecraft since alpha but I've only just got around to making an account on the forums XD its good too see your back to making cannons etc.
Yeah, a tutorial will have way too many parts to it. I may upload the save file -- I'm strongly considering it (and actually following through with it). Thanks for the re-welcome. :biggrin.gif:
After doing my research on what's available in the Cobblestone general production field, I realized that the simple generator (with a little bit of Redstone and Pistons) can become a near-automatic factory with a 99.9% output rate (the 0.1% being any chance of a bug keeping you from picking up the cobblestone). Please enjoy and learn from this video. :smile.gif:
VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
I'm really glad I took my time to make this video because I recently found several fixes to my previous and similar-sized version and had I posted a video sooner than those discovered fixes, things would've gotten messy.
So this is the new and improved model of my famous Cobblestone Generator.
No extreme amounts of Redstone working. If anything, it uses LESS Redstone and still fits in a fairly small area.
Now you HAVE to consider what is the better generator now.
+ 99.9% Cobblestone outcome!
+ 0.1% Fail rate! (in case a bug prevents you from picking up the loot!)
+ 0% Burn rate!
+ No complicated wiring!
+ Uses LESS Redstone than before!
+ Smaller size!
+ Easy to build!
+ Able to be used by a group!
+ Reliable build speed! (4 blocks produced every 4 cycles!)
+ A piece of work worth gloating about in your world!
So there you have it.
Remember to set the repeater to MAX settings. Stressing the piston speed will produce a slower outcome. Stay tuned so I can show you how to build the fancy-looking outdoor building so you can give your town/castle/house some more character.
Note 1: I'm aware that my video looks a little more zoomed in than usual. LUCKILY, everything related and important was done VERY close to my crosshair. ;P
Note 2: There was a point in the video where the noise from the piston drowned out my voice. Whatever I said... wasn't THAT important. Just use the video as a reference. :biggrin.gif:
Note 3: I believe this is the first video I posted since I've moved in my new Apartment in Costa Rica (Directions: It's close to a blue house and some trees. (If you didn't get the joke, don't worry.)), my point is that I finally upgraded my internet and posting a video took a small fraction of what I was previously dealing with. So I may start a "I play, you watch" series. Stay tuned for that! :3
Note 4: This generator/factory was NOT built using mods (I don't use mods) and is Minecraft Version 1.8.1 friendly. (And built during Version 1.7.3 -- probably lasting indefinitely)
Note 5: IMPORTANT -- Set the lever to the "OFF" position when you're done working with this unit. Logging off while it's "ON" will cause the unit to stop functioning until it's fixed. THE FIX IS DEMONSTRATED WITHIN THIS VIDEO!
In the Alpha thread, there was a long-lasting topic called "Noobcake Labs (cannon science)" where Minecraft TNT Cannons were discovered and experimented with. While that thread had long history and information, I do not find any similar thread in the new "Beta - Survival Mode" topics.
I would like to make this thread as a hub for other Cannoneers to display and share their works for the advancement of Minecraft Cannon technology.
Now, I feel kinda bad that I cannot provide any decent information about a "Basic Minecraft Cannon" (you can YouTube it and literally pull thousands of results) as a First Post to softly introduce newbie Cannoneers to our projects.
So I will borrow a video made by YouTube user: Darkthero
to display how a Basic Minecraft Cannon works.
Experienced and Non-Experienced players have done their research and decided to make their own cannons, taking it to the next level beyond the "Basic Cannon" like posted above.

Finally I get to show of my design. Enjoy, everyone!
