If you meant that they restore the actual hearts, then just no. Sorry, but that ruins the point of healing potions if there's a cheap, easy alternative.
I like the idea, but I fail to see when it would be particularly useful... You can already swim in water, and a potion of fire resistance will save you from lava.
I crafted some TNT for no particular reason, and blew up a small island. Then I went back home, but got lost at night and had to jump on top of the trees to stay safe. I ended up killing a few skeletons, and they gave me three free bows, and some arrows
The next day, I explored a deep ravine with most of my gear. Full iron armor, pickaxes, swords, bows, etc.. I got knocked in the lava somehow, and was seconds away from landing in the water safely. I died, but my gear made it to the water. Sadly, the water was going towards the lava. So I sat there, dead, watching my stuff slowly burn in the lava.
It's not so simple as picking which biomes are close by when you spawn. I want neat terrain formations that spark my imagination, and that's not something you can just describe. Despite what some people would say (*death glare*), not all biomes are created equal.
Very true. What kind of terrain formations do you want? Overhangs, floating islands? I was never a huge fan of either...
If you could make any, perfect seed that would spawn you exactly where you want to be spawned, what would that spawn be? Feel free to make it as crazy as you want!
I would want to spawn on the edge of a Plains Biome and a Jungle. Next to that is the ocean, with a medium sized island visible from shore. A river snakes from the ocean towards a vilage in the plains biome, right next to the Jungle. There is a Jungle Temple nearby, visible from the village. There is a stronghold directly under it, and a ravine that leaves it exposed to the sky. Past the plains biome is an Extreme Hills Biome.

I kind of like that idea... Maybe sticking some emeralds or diamonds in your armor to increase enchantability?
