Mar 8, 2013read through a few pages, got lost in all the suggestions so I don't know if this has been suggested yet. If you're not looking for diablo 2 type spellcasting where you just spam until you get what you want, might I suggest a runecraft style where you have to draw your spell each time, or maybe buildable altars then requires certain essentia from the blocks inside to activate it to recharge your ability to use a spell? I'm sure someone has suggested something similar, but throwing the idea out there again, I always did love the fact that with runecraft everything had a cost but some of them were 1 time, some of them were each time and some of them were only emergency type things. Also if you're going to make altars, can we make them HUGE! I want to have to have a 10x10 room dedicated to it, because I find it weird that the most important part of my stronghold is my storage room, my cauldron and water pool can go into a 2x3 room in the corner of it.Posted in: Requests / Ideas For Mods
Aug 17, 2012Alright so here's another wall-o-text for you.Posted in: WIP Mods
I think that the Thauminomicon should use bit flags for discoveries and to apply the discovery you must have the Thauminomicon in the Quasetarium while the research is going. That would mean each player has his own discoveries and the loss of the book would reset them back to square 1. It would also allow sharing of knowledge through another block where you could transcribe discoveries between thauminomicons allowing you to make a copy for yourself or update a friends on the same server. It should cost an amount of time and aura to research and to transcribe so that you do not spam the lowest items you have in hopes of a discovery and you treasure your thauminomicon because it takes "1 minecraft week" to make yet another one that you've lost. Maybe to make it more expensive each could also require 8 random artifacts or 1 of each vis crystal to make along with a book. Without the book in your inventory you could not active the appropriate recipe, although that might be hard to code given the now multiplayer enviroment and the static nature of recipes. It might need to be implemented clientside to force the client not to see the recipe even though it exists in the server.
Aug 3, 2012On the pipes, I would prefer a pressure system that works both ways, positive and negative, with tank having both configurable with the tinkering tool on the side the pipe is attached to. Positive meaning it pushes vis out, negative means it pulls it in. All arcane machines would most likely have negative, with condensers and crucibles having positive. It could probably be easily simulated as elevation in the pipes with higher numbers being higher ground, and vis(water) always running down hill and pooling in the lowest areas.Posted in: WIP Mods
Aug 3, 2012Heh, say the quote of Azanor's pics, pleaset tell me that slime will be ok.Posted in: WIP Mods
Oh idea, probably not for here, but idea incoming anyway. Tamed slimes that jump on items and absorb them, then navigate to a *grate* and fall through leaving the item on the *grate* or just skip that step and let them deposit items in chests automagicly.
Aug 2, 2012with 1.3.1 there is a mini server started the moment you launch the jar, when you load a world you jump on it on that level, when you open it to lan other people can join it, but now that we're in 1.3.1 it will always be server capable modding because there is always a serverPosted in: WIP Mods
Now my question, how does it handle inventory of people who jump in on the lan, does it save it?And While I'm here, can we possibly discuss the possibility of making a anti-monolith, more materials required than a normal one, possibly buildable but instead charges vis instead of taint.
Jul 30, 2012Ok I read about the first 5 pages and then the last 2 here, but don't think anyone ever has probably suggested this, I'd love a giant map, placable like paintings and expandable by placing more. It centers on the chunk the first block was placed on and every additional one added around it expands the map out in that direction. You might also be able to use *insert generic magicky item here* on the different map tiles and teleport there. Returning home would require walking, a seperate map, or *generic magicky gizmo #38*. Possibly able to craft an advanced version later that shows the current aura of the chunk instead of the the terrrain layout. I feel the map should self update itself, but I don't know if thats possible without it generating chunks outside what you've explored if you expand it far enough. For mechanics sake, have it self update 1 time per day at sunset. And while we're on topic, can we get a placable clock that you might be able to manipulate as well. I'm a dwarf, seeing the sky bothers me, and nothing like waltzing outside to catch a creeper at midnight when you thought it was noon.Posted in: WIP Mods
May 1, 2011Zinabas posted a message on ☼OmniCraft☼[MinimalLag|MatureCommunity|Vent|iConomy|On 1.5!]In Game Name: ZinabasPosted in: Minecraft Survival Servers (archive)
Why do you want to play here: To join a MineCraft server with community, not one where it feels like I play with npcs.
What aspects of minecraft do you enjoy most: Mostly mining and redstone circuits with the occasional elaborate build when I'm tired of the other two.
What methods/materials do you use to make your buildings aesthetically appealing: Fit the theme, gem blocks if I have them and interactive redstone gadgets.
What makes you more suited to this server then the other applicants (this is your chance to distinguish yourself): Redstone genius, organized, provide to the economy.
Post/link (pics or video) a cool project you have done: Most of my big projects were wiped out by server resets, sorry.
Where did you hear about OmniCraft: Superstar1986
Any additional info: Nothing much, I do like sitting in solemn silence on my balcony, watching the moon set and the sun rise.
