    Hello all. Just a small-ish Chromaticraft question, as I seem to be stuck.


    I've opened up everything before 'Top-tier crafting', except for 'Painfull Loss', and cant figure out what to do next. It seems to be repeaters, but so far I've been unable to figure out how to get them to work. I placed a repeater (stone, stone, rune, repeater) just withing safe distance of a pylon of the same rune type and cant figure out how to get it to do whatever it should do. Right-clicking with the manipulator on the repeater crystal gives me a ding sound with some particle smoke, and shows a '1' over the crystal. Shift-Right-Ciicking on it with the manipulator seems to cause it to lose it's particles.


    I'm stuck here, it seems, as I cannot seem to link the repeater with the repeaters on my casting complex, or with the crystal storage I built and stuck near the repeater.

    I'd greatly appreciate some help with this ;)


    Build another repeater up to 16 blocks away (based on the top cube) and right click on that with your manipulator; a 2 should come up. Keep doing so until you can right click on the repeater at your casting complex and have a number come up. That means there is a path for the lumens to flow over, and all you need to do at that point is craft something at your casting complex.

    I've got an idea to make crafting for ChromatiCraft a little less tedious, since generally on the larger things with 16+ different items, where positioning matters, you're going back to the recipe multiple times. First would be a bookmark tab, so you could mark a specific page to return to at a later date; multiple bookmarks would make crafting things like Elemental Cores and Crystal Stars much quicker.


    This next one I'm not sure how feasible it is, but it would be neat to have a button to press when looking at a recipe to "select" it in the book, then right click on a casting table with the book and have ghost items appear in the slots of the table's GUI, like how NEI works with the ? button.

    Guess it's either caused by another mod interfering somehow, or the exact circumstances to cause it haven't been properly identified. Either way, I'd say to wait and see if anyone else reports the issue to look into it again.

    Alright, did a bit more testing. From what I can tell, it's fine the first time around. Try relighting it, heating it up to max again, then letting it cool. I've tested it multiple times and had multiple explosions now, so I can confirm it DOES happen (on my end at least) but the exact circumstances I'm not 100% sure on.

    Reproduced, very simple to do so. Heat up the steam engine (I used fire on netherrack) and have an empty liquid pipe at the back. Let it heat up past 100 (I let it go as high as it could) and then take away the heat source. Once it hits 100, explosion.

    Also, I think(?) I found a bug with Steam Engines. For whatever reason, my pump broke, so all of my steam engines eventually ran out of water. Having blown up a steam engine by trying to put water into it while it was empty and hot earlier, I knew to let them cool this time. I took out the fires beneath them, and then half a minute later I heard a chain of explosions. From what I can tell, if the steam engine is empty and is above 100 degrees, then cools below 100, it will explode.

    This section of the map has been very good to me for ChromatiCraft. Two ocean temples, and 15/16 colors on the screen. The only one that's distant is Vadali, but I haven't made the compass to confirm there's not a closer one yet. I'm probably going to make my third tier altar (or whichever one crafts with lumens) in that little inlet below Portokali.

    I just realized I had Aroma backup. My items are not lost after all!


    Has anyone else had issues with a pylon not spawning your gravestone after killing you? That's something that can be pretty gameplay ending if you lose too much good stuff.

    Well that was rather unfortunate. I got zapped 4 times by a pylon in a second; didn't even have time to start drinking a potion before I was dead. I'm surprised there's no cooldown on that.


    My gravestone didn't appear either. Thank god for Open Blocks inventory restore. Scratch that. OpenBlocks didn't save that death apparently. Now all my items are gone... :unsure:

    Anyone running/know of a pack that has the latest versions of Reika's mods? Mainly Rotary, Reactor, Electri, and ChromatiCraft. I'm not really feeling like making my own custom private pack again, and wanted to see if anyone had one I could nab, so I can at the very least have a very solid starting point if I want to make modifications.

    Unless there's something I'm missing, the Pneumatic Item Pumps only allow one destination, correct? How about a Pneumatic Junction that allows you to swap the output side based on redstone signal strength, much like that one box for shaft power? That way they're a bit more feasible to use in more complex setups. Could probably have the pump connecting to the junction apply its filtering rules too.

    I do; I'm assuming they're the cause then. No big deal, I was really only using them for the invisible lighting feature with glowstone dust.
    There we go, all Carpenter's blocks gone. Pipe is now rendering properly at all times. Is this an issue that will be fixed with v7?
