I doubt it, trees don't replant themselves.

This vid says automatic tree farm, but its actually semi-automatic since he has to plant each tree by himself.

Yeah, zombies must have gotten to them. I think its called zombie seiges, you can confirm this by walking through the village. If there are no doors in most or all of the houses, zombies got to them. Whenever you find a village the first thing you should do is put fences around it. Its not hard, just put fence from one house to the next on the outer limit of the village, use the houses themselves as part of the fence. Then light up the village with torches and put 1 torch inside every house to be on the safe side.

posted a message on Nerf Baby Zombies
I'm with the buff'em crowd. If you don't want baby zombies to be equal to zombies, then buff the zombie above the baby zombie. Nerfing something that is extremely easy to kill makes no sense, might as well just delete it.

I say buff'em all and add more mobs and bosses, make it challenging, make it feel like I am actually trying to survive.

The usual rebuttal is about people who just want to build stuff and don't want to be bothred by mobs... well there is creative for a reason.

All you need is a regular old USB PC mouse to play Minecraft. That's it.

People fail to understand that a Mac is just like any other PC. They think the Apple mouse is ONLY for Mac and Macs will ONLY accept THAT mouse. No, you can plug in ANY mouse, ANY USB mouse and it will work and function just like any other computer. This isn't the old days when Macs used ADB and PCs used PS/2.

True. My mac at work uses a regular PC mouse (and keyboard). OP can just use his PC mouse to play lol. I'll have to get one for my mac at home hmmm...

Why not make it so that 1 Meter is equal to 1 foot?

Yes, 1block = 1 foot. Thats what I will be testing with for starters. The only problem is that 1 foot becomes the smallest measure because I can't break blocks in half to make 6" walls. I will have to adjust everything to lengths of 12" increments.

    You are confused I think.

Mac mouses do have a right click button, its just not a separate button, you have to press the left or right side of the mouse knowing there is a difference. and the other thing it differs from windows is that left click does not open a menu like windows mouses do. But if you open minecraft on mac you can easily confirm it. If you click the left side of the mouse you will punch, click the mouse on the right side and it will place blocks.

I have a new mac and thats how it works for me without any configuration changes.

Note: Mac mouses also have a "scroll wheel" which is extremely annoying in minecraft since the wheel is the mouse itself (a la touch-screen) and you will randomly switch items as you play.

posted a message on Are you a solo player or multiplayer?
Been playing for a month only, the need to meet others in the overworld has not been an issue yet. Though I would only play multiplayer for the PVP games and stuff. I wouldn't play vanilla survival with other people, I'm not into following others rules, my world, my rules.

1 block is 1 meter in length... thats how Ive always thought of it

Thought of it? Did you ever tried it that way? I can see 2 problems with that.

    1. I would have to manually change every measure in the drawing from feet & inches to meters. No biggie.

    2. If I sacle walls to 1block/1meter I would end up with tiny buildings. A standard 8'x8' room would be a 2.5x2.5 square in minecraft with 1 meter wide walls, while scaling to 1block/6 inches the same room would be 16x16 with 6" walls.

I can see some problems with using 6" too, it is perfect for walls but it causes scaling problems with height and lenght of rooms. Perhaps I could 1block/1feet would be a better scale. I'll test some builds later today.

posted a message on Scaling blueprints?
I am a structural engineer, I work with house and project drawings on a daily basis. I've got some prints of huge extravagant houses and buildings and I was wondering how I could build those within minecraft. Is there a standard scale that has already been figured out? The most I can think of using would be considering minecraft blocks to be 6"x6" since standard walls in construction are 6" wide. I could thus make the house foundation and then adjust the interiors.

    Any ideas?

If you werent near it and your friend wasn't home, how do you know it was an explosion? You didn't hear a BOOM! did you?

I can think of two possible explanations:

    a. A piece of chunk got deleted, including your friends house.

    b. You griefed your friends house and want us to give you an alibi with a "huge explosion".

posted a message on not enough time before night
I can see why you might be confused for a troll... Its rather unusual to find someone who claims to be good at beating real people on factions yet fails to survive a night vs easy AI zombies...

Still, if your problem is the night, just get a damn bed as suggested by others and skip the nights entirely until you learn how to kill... easy... AI... zombies.

Edit: What do you mean you can never find animals? Unless your game is corrupted and animals don't spawn in it I don't see how you can walk 100 blocks without finding several animals.
