I'm basically looking for a switch/ lever that when hit with redstone changes its output. And that's it. Like a lever that when hit with a button changes sides. Then when hit again, changes back. Is there something out there like this?

(The main use I want it for is when going by on a minecart, headed twoard a 'T' Intersection the direction I go will switch before I get there, sending every other cart right and every other cart left)

posted a message on MINECARTS Mk. II *Latest Update: 9/1/2011*
Sorry for my absence. Lets get down to business shall we? (Quotes are acting weird in this format so bear with me)

    @CobaltStarr

    The Universal Minecart Detector
This is simply a renamed wooden minecart detector.

Zeno: So a name change then? I honestly kinda like it. But still, minor change and I have alot to get through so moving on.

    The Passenger Minecart Detector
    Notes:
    • This would be a modified version of the stone minecart detector.
    • Right-clicking the output face of the block changes the detection mode and the appearance of the output.

Zeno: This has been suggested but the coding is a bit difficult, so we currently just have it face you when you place it and stay there.

    • In default detection mode, the output would look like the dot it has now.
    • In occupied detection mode, the output would change to become a large filled square or a plus sign (+).
    • In unoccupied detection mode, the output would change to become a large empty square or a minus sign (-).

Zeno: I don't get these last 2. From what I can tell 'occupied detection mode' is just standard mode with a + sign, and 'unoccupied detection mode' doesn't seem like it would have a use. Why would you want to detect empty minecarts only? Actually I could think of one. Say you're trying to farm mobs via minecarts. Empty ones would continue on their rounds until full which would switch off the track. But then again you would only need the stone detector... so... yeah.

    The Storage Minecart Detector

    Notes:
    • This is an entirely new minecart detection block.
    • Right-clicking the output face of the block changes the detection mode and the appearance of the output.
Zeno: again, see above about placement.
    • In default detection mode, the output would look like the dot it has now.
Zeno: and default would just be detecting a storage cart at all? That would still be a Wooden Minecart Detector.
    • In full load detection mode, the output would change to become a large filled square or a plus sign (+).
    • In empty load detection mode, the output would change to become a large empty square or a minus sign (-).
Zeno: And here lies the problem we have with Storage Minecart detectors. What do you qualify as full? 100% full, or would 1 piece of stone count? Is empty completely empty or mostly empty? If we can come to a consensus on that then i think there may be room for Storage Minecart Detectors in this proposal. I personally think, for all intents and purposes that 1 piece of stone should set off a "Full StorageCart Detector".
    [quote=CobaltStarr]

    The Powered Minecart Detector
    Detects fuel burning, powered minecarts.

    Notes:
    • This is an entirely new minecart detection block.
    • Has no additional features since I just threw this in for completeness. :tongue.gif:
Zeno:We try not to add things that are unnecessary, however, say that Powered Minecarts also are detected as storage carts instead. Then you could use an Accolator to refuel. Just thinkin' aloud.

*Note about the cost. Because of the amount of Iron one has to use to make a decent track we tried to shy away from using Iron for the detectors as well. Plus the wooden detector is in blocks not planks, so its actually alot more expensive then you'd think, yet still easy to obtain. The stone ones are even harder since you have to smelt the cobblestone before making one. Further, without the tracks they are useless so you'd have to spend iron on at least that. And finally, you'd need to have at least an iron pick and found redstone which means these aren't available till mid-late game. Overall, some good (if not repeated) ideas among alot of... weight. Trim the fat and we could have some nice additions, after consideration of course.

@buggy85: Care to share some of your ideas then Sir?

@Eldaveo: I'm glad your using this Proposal to its fullest. I think Jeb's boosters and Minecarts MK II do work well together depending on the circumstances, and what you need to get done. Also I have conducted a few of my own tests and Minecarts MK II has a higher acceleration and further distance on straight track as well as uphill.

"When life give you Lemons, Don't make Lemonade! Make life take the Lemons BACK! GET MAD! I Don't want your dam Lemons! What am I supposed to do with these!? Demand to see life's Manager! Make life RUE the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson Lemons! Do you know who I AM!? I'm the man who is going to burn your house down! With the Lemons! I'm going to get my engineers to make a COMBUSTIBLE lemon, that BURNS your house down!" -Cave Johnson

So, thus comes my addition to this mod. Why not make the Lemons Explode like a small TNT? and change the recipe to use lemon slices. Right now they don't heal enough to be worth it right now. Plus, the Explosion part will make it funny and worth 9 lemon slices to make. Or perhaps 8 slices around 1 redstone dust?

If you wanna cheat with the jeep idea you can just check out the coding for SDK's gun mod. I remember he had some boxy all terrain vehicle at one point. How about instead of a BBQ we have a...

    Camp Fire
I think it'd be cool if a small campfire came with the tent. It could either be "part" of the tent in which it comes out when you set the tent up, or it could be in the chest when you set it up and you can place it yourself. The problem with the first idea is that you'd have to make sure you have room for the tent and the fire, and in cramped areas that could be problematic. The more I think about it, the more I like the second version since for a few reasons; You can place the fire where you want, it fixes the aforementioned space problem, and (since it'd be a requirement to pack up the tent) it would keep campers responsible to put out their own fires before leaving their campsite.

Te updates were ready when I posted on that video. It's still version 1, but the download now contains all the fixes mentioned at the top of the thread.

As for this mod, I'm not too sure if your video has enough information. If I was gonna submit this to mojang, I'd do a more demonstration/review style video that does into details, possible scenarios, and technical specifics. I can do something like that myself if the time comes.

For now, I've already started work on another exciting mod! I've been quiet about it, but it's probably going to be even better than this one, definitely more content-rich. My only hint I'll give here is that it's one of Firehazurd's suggestions.

Did my video make the cut then? I tried to include all the major information. I'll admit it doesn't look too professional though, and I don't think anyone saw it since it wasn't responded on. If this post is considered spam or self promotion then I'll promptly delete it :smile.gif:

~For waypoints you do "/set [name of waypoint] then you do "/goto [waypoint name]"

and also can you list all mobs you can spawn i cant find command

you would just do /spawn [mob name] so /spawn creeper will make a creeper. You can also add a number to the end /spawn creeper 5 will spawn 5 creepers. If you're using a mod that adds a new mob try to guess at their name, if you can't then check the zip file for something like mob_[mob name].class and use that mob name.

@gwei: I've been using this mod for a long time now and my account is fine, nor have I heard reports of it happening to anyone else either.

@Witch-King: Why would you want to do that? You can still normal craft by left clicking the output box, its just that right clicking will automatically craft the whole stack.

    Please consider copatability with modloader...

    A merge?

    A compatability patch?

    A rewrite of certain codes?

I use SPC along side Modloader all the time. I don't know why you'd have a problem with it.
