    In the meantime, everybody who hasn't done so, read back a page about 1.5.2, I'm too lazy to keep re-posting everything every time a new page starts, it's . No, I haven't gone and re-updated the pack yet (it takes about an entire day to do so, and I've been busy/distracted with other things), but it does work.

    If you want to use it with the new launcher, I found out that it DOES work (but it's a pain in the butt and I could probably get around to putting in the extra files eventually to make this easier, unless Arrrg wants to take this), but you'll want to create a separate minecraft directory for the profile, because otherwise the mods will cause conflicts with different versions; in the profile options, make sure to choose 1.5.2 as your minecraft version, and run it once, just to download the files. As for the AMCO zip, in the new directory, you ONLY copy over everything in the "to Root" folder, the rest doesn't work. The rest of the instructions are a pain, but, go download the "1.5.2 latest" INSTALLER off the forge website, and then right-click > open with > Java™ Platform SE binary, and you'll want to extract the files somewhere where you can find them. (Yeah, I know, it gives you the forge universal, but for some reason, the universal download off the site didn't work... *shrug*). Now you'll want to go into your versions folder, which from the minecraft root will be ".minecraft\versions", look for the 1.5.2, copy it and rename the copy to "1.5.2-Forge7.8.1.738", you'll also need to open up the folder, and rename both files inside from 1.5.2 to 1.5.2-Forge7.8.1.738; lastly, open up the .json inside the folder with notepad, or any text editor, and change any 1.5.2 to 1.5.2-Forge7.8.1.738, and save. Now you can open up the zip in the folder, and you'll want to extract the contents of your forge universal into the minecraft file (you can also add optifine at this point if you want to, I'd suggest OptiFine 1.5.2_HD_U_D5). Oh, one more thing, until I change it, IDResolver acts funny, and has a tendency to save over the ID mappings and screw itself up, so go into .minecraft/config/ and look for IDResolverknownIDs.properties, right-click on it, go to properties, and tick the option to make the file read-only. Otherwise, when (not if) IDresolver messes up, you'll have to go and paste the original IDResolverknownIDs file from the AMCO zip to fix it... this is much easier. The last two things you'll have to do before starting this up, is to first make sure that you have Java 8 downloaded and installed, then lastly close the launcher and re-open, then change your profile settings to use your new minecraft version, it'll say: release 1.5.2-Forge7.8.1.738. Now you're all set =)

    As a reminder, I set up IDResolver to use the Aether II as well, so all you'll have to do is download it off http://aetherii.com/ if you want it (I don't know if it's run by them or not, but as of the time I wrote this, www.aethermod.net is useless, unless you want to use their installer, but you're on your own there), and extract the contents into the .minecraft folder.

    An interesting bit of annoyance I ran into, after installing Java 8... Some of the newer versions of forge may not work - you try to start say 1.6.4 w/ forge, and nothing happens. If this is the case, in the profile settings, change the java settings, tick the executable button, and change the directory to C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\javaw.exe, save, and you're good to go.

    From the small amount of experience I have from playing with it, the new minecraft client doesn't work the same as the old; I'm not sure if AMCO works on the new one... anybody else know?

    I'm not sure, I'd never heard of Glsl before (though it looks cool), it's likely conflicting with another mod... it'd have to be tested the hard way - pull out about half of the mods, and find out which half works (or if neither half works it's multiple mods), then add to the working section a piece at a time. I may get to that, but I'm feeling lazy atm, and the pack I updated needs updating again (already >.>), but I'll mess with it out in the next week or so

    Try running the program as an administrator (right-click > run as administrator, and then accept the prompt); I know it works, it's the exact same thing I use for sp/mp

    The 121 id mismatch is due to a broken version of forge; Arrrg's AMCO 4a is rather well broken, I fixed it (though I'm sure some of the mods are buggy, but that's the on the developers), but all I really did was update mods. I updated ender storage from 1.4.2.15 to .16 since I originally posted about this on the last page (apparently there was a bug with placing ender tanks causing the game to crash, I hope this version fixed that), if you want more details, go read it, but here's the links again:

    Oh, I think all those structures might be the... better dungeons mod? I think the goblins [mod] might also come with their own structures as well.

    Hello, I'm fairly new to modding Minecraft or running a server, but I recently played on a server with this mudpack which was shut down. I'm now trying to set up a new server with it, and I can get a server running, but when I try to install AMCO, it crashes. I'm using a 1.5.2 server jar file, and I've tried reinstalling it multiple times. Not sure what exactly I'm doing wrong, or what the info in the crash report means. If anyone has any insight on it I'd appreciate it.

    Also if this has already happened, I tried sifting the thread but couldn't find anything. That or if I did I just didn't quite get it, as I said I can't quite understand the crash report. I'm guessing its some sort of ID conflict with the files listed, maybe?

    -if you look at the beginning of your error report, you'll notice it says "too small view radius" That has to do with the config file for your server. Go into your server folder, and open the file named "server.properties", you need to change the setting that says "view-distance", I forget what the valid range is for that, but I have mine set to 10, and it's fine. (btw, if you are looking for a working version of 4a, I posted up some links above, I tried em on a friend's computer and they work fine, though for some reason the IDResolverknownIDs config file would sometimes alter itself and have to be reinstalled from the download.... could be their computer though, it does strange things sometimes)

    so hey, I finished updating all the mod files this morning, and JUST got everything in 4a working (plus Aether II) - and by "working" I mean that the client and server both start up and connect to each other; I'm sure there are otherwise a ton of bugs, but it finally WORKS. Running the client by itself takes some serious resources though, so I wouldn't suggest trying to run the client and server from the same computer.

    -I'll look into getting this uploaded for whoever wants to try it out, and I'll send a message to the mod pack creator, probably tomorrow

    --note, there are textures missing for several blocks and/or items, idk why, but I haven't gotten that far yet.

    Here are the links I mentioned; as far as I know, everything should work just fine, just remember as before to start with a clean minecraft folder - these files are NOT mine, the mods all belong to their respective owners, and Arrrg is the one who put everything together. Mostly all I did was update everything so it would work, though I did add in IDResolver ~link to IDResolver page~ to get Aether II to work with this. Also, I'm sure, with so many different mods in here, there are bound to be bugs; not to mention, this stuff is rather heavy on a computer's resources.
    Oh, I almost forgot to mention, I converted these from zip to .rar files, to save space/bandwidth.

    Optifine - if you want to use this, the files from this mod go in the minecraft.jar, but AFTER installing AMCO. On their page, show the older versions of "OptiFine HD B4 Ultra for Minecraft 1.6.2", you'll be looking for the download link next to " OptiFine 1.5.2_HD_U_D5"

    Lastly, Aether II page here, there are 2 files inside, player api goes in the coremods folder, and the aether inside goes into mods; if you're running a server, you'll want to install this in the coremods / mods folders of your .minecraft folder, AND in the coremods / mods folders of wherever your minecraft server folders are located.

    hey, maybe it's just me, but your AMCO1.5.2_Rev4a_Client and AMCO1.5.2_Rev4a_Server files gave me a SERIOUSLY hard time, it took me 3 days to get things up and running, and I haven't yet had a chance to see if all the mods actually work. I ran into a ton of problems, mostly out of date or corrupt mods; Pam's mods btw were are all for the wrong version, but that's not your fault, the 1.5.2 links on the page all led to 1.5.1 versions, I had to edit each link by hand to get them; also, I ran into an error trying to connect to my own client "ID Mismatch with block 121" or something to that end, the error ended up being caused by a bad Forge version.

    The main reason it took me 3 days though is because I tried to add in Aether II, and I kept running into a whole bunch of ID conflicts, I kept running into an issue with block ID 226, for some reason I couldn't change the ID in IC2 to something else, so in the end, I gave up, and found a working version of IDResolver; solved all my conflicts for me- then copied the client side config folder, and all the updated/added mods to the server side, and it's all finally up and running, (and yes, optifine does work, as long as the latest forge version -build 738- is installed first)

    I'm making a mod pack for 1.1, and thus far it's been successful (I'm not going to change to 1.2.4, not yet anyway, I started this thing about 6-7 weeks ago and I want to finish it), as of late I just finished patching the 1.0 source of 4096blockids in... I've still got some work to do to make it run right, but... what exactly does the mod do? I get that it extends block ids above 256, but does it actually ALLOW you to use more than 256 blocks? Also, I might be wrong about this, but if you change the id of a core block (ie something used in seed generation) to something above 256, it seems to break the useage of that block type. Is that normal, or due to something I missed/messed up?


    The other problem I have atm is with an opengl error I get with a debugger; after the game finishes loading, it spams this at the starting screen, and also during game play (but not while paused):

    There are 2 reasons btw why you can't use [mod version A] with [whatever version B] : When minecraft version is updated/changed, the names of the obfuscated classes (and the methods etc inside of them) change (ie the "block" class is oe.class in 1.1 and yy.class in 1.0, this happens cause more files are added to the minecraft.jar). The other reason is because of the bits that are changed with a minecraft update, a mod might call for something that no longer works like it used to, or may not even be there anymore.

    hey, I've got a problem with this mod, hoping somebody can help... I patched the 1.0 source for 4096 block ids into my modset (1.1), and it works, but something that bothers me, does this mod do anything about actually HAVING more than 256 blocks? I didn't see anything anywhere about using any sprite sheets other than terrain.png / items.png. Also, while blocks with IDs above 256 load just fine via IDresolver, certain (I don't think it's all) blocks with IDs above 256 don't load upon map generation; was this mod built just to handle small addons that add blocks into the game, or can it handle mods that alter terrain generation as well?

    Completely different subject... how come the init values in ModLoader aren't dynamic? As far as I can tell, modloader can be used by itself for loading large amounts of sprites (ie with Forge, no need for item sprites api; or with 4096 blocks for block sprites)

    Allo - I'm currently making a mod-pack for 1.1 (I know that it's semi-outdated now, but if necessary I'll pull some stuff from 1.2.3), and I recently came across an error shortly after finding this nice little debugging tool made by Mr_okushama and _303 - after I get the game started, at both the Main menu (where it shows blurred terrain in the background) and in the game itself, the debugger keeps spamming an error, as follows:

    I figure I caused this myself earlier in the mod-pack creation while editing a small number of values (I was trying to make a work around for the block limit, I've tried other things since then and only just last night got 4096blocks patched in).

    Does anybody have any idea on where I could start looking, so as to fix this?



    oh, btw, yes, even with the errors, the game seems to run normally as far as I can tell; if I try to switch texture packs it crashes (but upon restarting is loaded in, *shrug*), but I'm not sure if that would be part of the same problem)

    hey, I just thought of something.... why does it have to be necessary to pre-assign an id to a Block/Item/ItemBlock? It would make more sense to let something like IDResolver or even the game do it, that way with tools such as this or 4096blocks, sprites from mods would automatically be placed sequentially, potentially reducing the amount of sprite sheets created
