    Amazing. I knew someone would (eventually) replace EE2's flying ring. I just had no idea it would be you Azanor. Wonderful.

    Out of curiousity, does anyone know how one is supposed to get that much potentia?
    The crucible just seems inefficiant.

    If there isn't, might I suggest adding a way to get it? Without that annoying flux buildup?

    I don't like the way the developer is doing it either. It's bad programming practice, BUT, it is their mod and their decision on how to do it. If they decided today to scrap everything they've coded, it is their RIGHT to do so. If you don't like it, well, tough... It's open source so go learn Java and develop it yourselves. The developer has absolutely no responsibility to any of you (myself included), it isn't like you paid to 'participate in the alpha' (as some games have been doing).



    EE2 may be 'dead' as in not being developed, but aspects of EE2 (many aspects) are intended to be put into EE3.
    You may already understand this, and your point may have been the 'mod' EE2 is no longer being updated (period) rather than the concepts are not being continued... I don't know, but I thought I would make this clear for others.



    Uh, no, the 'real' transmuting was removed once EMC came about in EE2... The transmuting that we have here (as existed before EMC in EE2) is 'real' transmuting... well, as real as a fictional device can be...
    EMC is like separating the protons and electrons (and other sub-atomic structures) from an atom, storing it, and reassembling it into something entirely different at a later date. With modern physics there is absolutely no known way that this is possible (which doesn't even remotely mean that it isn't, simply that there is "no known" way.) rearranging atoms into new molecules on the other hand, we can do with modern chemistry, and is therefore a proven science (or possibility if you want to ignore 'science').


    ... While this was the original idea of Alchemy, true, it is by far not 'real' transmutation as exists in 'our universe'... One cannot simply add electrons and protons to an atom to get a higher atomic structure (or remove them to get a smaller) as doing so either takes the energy of a star (which would likely destroy the Earth, and by 'destroy' I mean not in the sense of setting off all atomic weapons at once, I mean in the sense of 'Death Star'++), and the other takes an even more complicated function of subatomic physics.
    'Real' transmutation is removing atoms from molecules and rearranging them into new and different molecules. So, pencil lead into diamond? Entirely possible. Lead into gold? Not without a much larger Hadron Collider (one that spans the entire planet, or Earth to moon and back... or bigger).



    I think that about covers it... * Pahimar has a job, give him some slack (or learn programming yourself). * EMC isn't transmutation, using a process to turn one substance into another (like the original EE2 and current EE3) is. * Gold into Diamond (carbon crystals) isn't atomically possible. Sub-atomically Perhaps, but there is no 'known' way of doing this (yet-so you cannot reference the periodic table to say it is.).


    I would think that EMC would be more like converting matter into energy, then re-converting it back into matter.
    Oh, and for lead to gold? They've done that already.

    It could probably be used for something related within Thaumcraft though, After all it's named: Vis Reactor.
    You could probably find some uses for converting vis into electrical energy(Lightning) in higher tiers.


    It could be used to turn the aspect for power (I don't remember it) into actual power.

    I'd suggest reading the comments. Too many people asked for bugfixes and additions to 1.4.7. Those people were stupid enough to think that someone would maintain an outdated version of thier mod.

    Anyways, there is no real reason to use 1.4.7. Don't say redpower. Most of it's "unique" features have been added to several mods out there. Mircroblocks, MFR's rednet cables, stuff like that.

    Seriously, increase the drop rate of silverwood saplings or make them craftable somehow. On the server I'm on I recently encountered a bug where instead of a silverwood tree adding to another pure node, it replaced the entire pure node.


    It does, but it's still really low.

    Yup. It feels like people obcess over redpower just like EE2. If you'd look, tons of other mods have items that replace them. Rednet cables from MFR, Immibus's microblocks, then you've got vanilla quartz replacing marble. Basalt, i don't know any mods for. But you get the picture? It's not worth staying on 1.4.7 for redpower. Just be patient. I'm sure Eloraam will be done in a few months.

    Actually, it captures a wither skeleton, but in order to have an autospawner spawn them, you have to set it to exact copies.

    As for liquid inks themselves, I've thought about it before but I don't think there's enough uses to justify it. Wools just need 16 sheep and a rancher, and how often do people write books ingame anyway?

    I make sure all of the meatlings are fully grown before grinding them, it's inhumane to grind baby animals. (Even if i do use growth/zombie syringes) And I also make sure to cover up sewage lakes with a nice, unassuming layer of dirt over the top. The milk thing though, I would have you know I drink my milk out of the finest diamond cups.

    But squid bits mixed in with ink? I draw the line there.


    It's rude to the books. I'm sure they do not want to smell like raw fish.
    And you're right, how often do people write books anyway? Other than maybe a list of things to do if you're absent minded.

    Only reason to use 1.4.7 is redpower, and Eloraam said it might come out in a little while. Which probably means 1-2 months.
    You'll just have to settle with not using tconstruct on 1.4.7.

    I have a suggestion once again... how about a sort of more efficient dye system? I was screwing around with Pam's Weee Flowers, and I just randomly thought of liquid dye. Since your mod adds a lot of liquids, why not liquid dye? It should maybe have magma crucible compat, but for MFR maybe two new machines? a machine to grind dyes, a machine to somehow mix dyes, and another machine to dye wool and maybe leather armor with the liquid dye? As with all your liquids, the dye should be able to be placeable, so it would add a lot of aesthetic possibilities.

    If you don't like that idea, I also thought of an industrial printing press after I thought about ink sac functionality, along with sugar canes, both very abundant due to the splendid rancher and harvester. As a printing press in real life works, the printing press should be able to "print out" (dupe :P ) books using paper and leather as fuel to keep it simple ( I thought about unbound and bound books, but that would not match the simplicity of MFR, and quite frankly it is unnecessary.) and as an added cost, if liquid dye is ever implemented, liquid ink sacs could be fed to the press, and obviously, it must be supplied with power. Place an already-written book in a slot, and after a long time (maybe equal to the fisher) it'll output to an adjacent conveyor/pipe an exact copy of the book.

    Oh, what's the status about the sludge and sewage ponds? I'm living next to a puddle and I keep falling into liquid poop :P it's really annoying, and somehow my mind doesn't want to fill in the poo puddle with dirt, so it's either "bucket brigade" or... well that's my only option. I would really love if at least sludge and sewage could be pump-able.


    I would think liquid ink sacks would be a bit disgusting, seeing as all the squid matter would be mixed in too. Maybe ink extraction rather than grinding for them.
