    Yes persistent mob spawning made a huge change in mob spawning behavior. Some chunks spawn more mobs than others. Mine did the same thing as yours.

    Yes I agree, I don't like the new spawning code.
    It's sad to see my HUGE mob looter wasted since monsters don't spawn the way they used to.
    It may be more realistic, but it makes Minecraft unreasonably harder to play

    Hey!

    Since 2011, I've been crafting a 2D browser fan game for Minecraft called Mine Blocks!



    This game is still being updated and in every update, there are many new features and improvements!

    Here's some of the biggest features:

    - Creative, survival, and hardcore gamemodes!

    - A multiplayer minigame called "Scavenger Hunt"!
    - Procedural world generator! Map sharing!
    - Nether, ender, and ender dragon boss!
    - Enchanting and brewing!
    - Redstone components!
    - Commands (give, gamemode, fill, summon, etc)!
    - Hundreds of items and recipes!
    - Plenty of mobs! Pet dogs! Breeding!
    - Player skin database with over 10,000 player skins!
    - And much, much more!

    1. I was walking around. In one rotation a tree was there, and in another rotation, it's gone. Either way I could walk through it. Then it crashed.
    2. Sometimes, in some chunks, when you mine a block it remains until a block next to it changes.
    3. Huge abandoned mine shafts
    4. Endermen took apart my house.
    5. In multiplayer, TNT, after exploding, stays on the screen and twitches
    6. Multiplayer: When lagging, placing and right-clicking on chests may result on "stuck-open" chests.
    7. Screenshots result in "saving chunks" and the RAM crash screen.
