    Hey Guys, I apologize for my (very) extended absence. I've been getting myself settled into my new life and finally got myself lined up with a full-time job. I'm not sure where we stand as of now but I'll be discussing it with you guys on skype hopefully fairly soon. Glad to be back and looking forward to starting on the rest of the pokemon.

    Hey Guys, just giving you a quick update, I said a page or two ago I was working on getting a place of my own to live and I finally got one and move in tomorrow so I may be off for a few days. However once I'm all settled in I'll start kicking out pokemon left and right so be ready! =)

    Let's see, so far we're planning on having all pokecenter/marts be randomly generated, much like villages in Millenaire, however we'd also like to be compatible with adventure maps, so we're still working on that one.

    Well it will be much like it is in the games. When a pokemon gets enough experience and hits the appropriate level, it will evolve into it's next stage, basically switching it out with the mob that is it's evolution.

    Oh I didn't say we'd release Mewtwo to the public early =P I just might decide to model it 'before it's time'. And as far as spawning goes? We're hoping to make it biome-based, where pokemon will only spawn in their respective habitat, however so far as I'm aware, it will be like animals are now. Except obviously some pokemon will be more rare than others. And some won't spawn normally at all, they'll need to be evolved, or there are some other tricks we have in mind for the rarest of pokemon.

    Once I get the starters done (I have a long story for you that involves me doing them over multiple times) I'm planning on just going through from 1 to 151, I'll probably do a few of the other pokemon then come back and do the starters evolutions for the official release. But even something like caterpie and weedle we can have their evolutions (namely metapod and kakuna) appear naturally as that happens quite a bit in the show.

    What contradictions? We communicate amongst one another as much as we can, but still get some inconsistencies in how we express it. We'd be more than happy to clear anything up.

    On topic: If you aren't already planning on doing it this way, I suggest you add the pokemon in order (by pokedex number) and not by request because that would become quite chaotic and disorganised. I know there are some pokemon we would like to see first but I think keeping n.150 and n.151 for last is better and will ensure those particular pokemon are very well done too.


    Funny you should mention that, as that's the order I've been modelling in, unbeknownst to the rest of the Dev crew =D

    A teaser is a VIDEO trying to bring in more people, calling the, "First Release" a teaser just seems to people who have followed this thread (LIKE ME) a disapointment since we have been waiting for the "First Release" for a couple weeks now and would like the "REAL THING."

    First off Icemoose, Alpha and Beta is the Greek alphabet, Charlie is phonetic alphabet and games don't go into 'charlie', the next step after beta is final release. And a teaser is not necessarily a video, it is something which gives people a taste or idea of what is to come. We all appreciate your patience but regardless of what we call it you and the rest of the followers will have to continue waiting for the 'real thing'. We are not ready yet for a full release and will not be for quite possibly a month or more. So, in order to give you a small taste, or tease, of what is to come we will be releasing what we have complete so far which is nowhere near the final product.

    We are doing this as a thanks to those of you who have been waiting so long and patiently, it is what we have done and so it is what we will show you. We do not want to put out our first release until it is worthy of being called so, when we don't even have half of the features implemented into the mod we are not going to call it a first release as it is nowhere near a reflection of the final product. So IceMoose, would you rather play around with just the starter pokemon for a while? Or wait a month or more for more of the features to be added (we will add more pokemon as new versions are put out) We are simply trying to keep the fans satisfied while we continue working on adding the essential features.

    Also, Cam, I don't care when you do it or where. But we need to make it known at some point (on the main page or in release notes of the teaser and 1st release) that all pokemon are modeled to scale, that way nobody gripes when they aren't the size they were expecting.

    DEV TEAM:

    I am making a proposition, which I think will help set people's idea of our first release straight. I propose that we do not make a 'first release' after the starter pokemon are added as mobs. Instead I say we put out a 'teaser' the same thing we have planned for now (giving out the starters as a mob) but because of where we are currently at, I don't want to announce it as a first release until we have more features implemented into the pokemon.

    I feel that saying it is a first release will give people the impression we are only adding basic mobs with little interactivity, so saying it is a teaser will show people what we plan to add, without letting them think it's close to the final product. I will add a list of what features I would like to see in our first official release to our dropbox.
