You loved games like Star Wars: Dark Forces or Jedi Academy? Then you should definitely play this map. And even if you have never played any of that games you should try it anyways.
"Stalaxy: Run" is a single player experience which's gameplay reminds of one of the first shooters: Star Wars: Dark Forces. You have to make your way through three different worlds filled with enemies.
The map's special art style and world design is based on a mobile game called "Galaxy Hoppers". Every block used in the world has been re-textured to fit that special style and color palette, also block models have been used to make the map look more like an actual game.
The map has been in work for quite some time, but it is my first one so don't expect it to be perfect.

I am currently working on a Minecraft map where the player gets a 3D helmet (sponge). Is there any possibility to have a 2D texture sponge in the inventory but a 3D model on head?
The v1.14 and V1.16 are definitely my favorites! the atmosphere they have is incredible!
But I think I found a bug in the 1.16 version that only applies to me, not to my friends:
If I enable volumetric lighting the upper right quarter of my screen does not display this effect, the other three do (have a look at the attachments).
If I disable it again everything works well.
I believe that's because of my specs so:
GTX 750 Ti
FXAA enabled in NVIDIA Control Center
8GB Ram
Windows 10
Minecraft 1.11 w/ OptiFine HD_U_B2
I hope you are able to help me, because I really would like to play with the volumetric lighting
I am recreating an app called Galaxy Hoppers in vanilla Minecraft in first person. To make working guns you get a snowball into your offhand slot if you are holding a gun.
Now the question is: Is there any (useful) possibility to make snowballs deal damage WITHOUT using /effect?

I think I have a little problem:
What am I doing wrong? How can I fix this?
I am using a specular map for the grass, but normally only a few pixels should reflect. In all other shader packs it works properly.
Hopefully it can be fixed ^^

Currently using: /execute @e[type=Snowball] ~ ~ ~ /effect @e[r=3] instant_damage 1 100 true
I already thank you for helping me

First I want to say that this shaderpack is aboslutly amazing! The new clouds are awesome and the new water is soo beautiful.
But I have a problem with the pack: I am using a resource pack that supports normal and specular mapping. (here is a link)
Everything works great except there are bugs with the grass block and the cactus. They have some wired 3D effect which isnt wanted.
I think this is beacuse the texture is transparent on some areas but I dont know about thes things, I hope you can help me.

I really like this pack, it changes Minecraft in a whole new way ^^.
But now 1.9 is out and I'm waiting for an update ... hope it will come soon.

Oh, I got the mistake
You have to start (by double-clicking) the downloaded .jar file and klick "extract", then you navigate to the folder you want to place the file in.
If it is extracted you put the "OptiFine_1.9_HD_U_B1_MOD.jar" (the name is varius, but the "MOD" is the essencial part) into your mods folder.
That should work
