The non-ModLoader version works for me, whereas the ModLoader version did not. :tongue.gif: Glad to finally be able to try this mod (and it was rather silly to have ModLoader for it alone anyway..).
Yes I installed on a fresh jar with nothing but this and ModLoader (I use mods sparingly due to varying update rates when a new patch comes out, lack of maintenance on some, etc.. so I'm very picky and rarely use any, so I usually have a fresh jar).
It would be nice if there was a version of this that added randomly generated stores and dungeons and such to the normal game with the new items and loot, added the dual wielding, etc.. I don't particularly want to play pre-crafted adventures so much as play normal Minecraft with these nice features you've made.
No. The above and underground lakes of both water and lava were added in 1.3 - single block water and lavafalls were in the game since Alpha, probably earlier.
1.5.1 released:
- Fixed mossy cobblestone's stone color to match other stone (my bad!)
- Fixed workbench leather color to match recolored leather from a while back (didn't notice that somehow..)
1.5 released:
- Clean stone halfblocks are now stone bricks, for more building options.
- Netherrack texture had details added.
- Glowstone is now a glowstone crystal/netherrack hybrid in a fractal pattern I call a "plecko" (square spiral).
- Soul sand now has a more unique texture than before - looks much more evil.
- Glass no longer has the wood lattice - depending on reactions it may or may not make a return later.
- Discrepencies between stone, cobblestone, and stone tools/items/etc. have been resolved and they have been uniformly colored as they should have been to start with.
- Lots of minor tweaks/changes, a pretty big pack update, too many to list.
I used this recently (within the past week or two) and found that the sleep simulation took AEONS of time. I have a 3ghz quad core with 6gb of ram running minecraft thru 64-bit java 7, so it's not my box. I understand that it's doing a lot of math and it can't happen in an instant, but either something's wrong with the mod WITH my box, or something needs serious optimization. If you've already caught this since I last used it, then disregard me. If I don't respond and you need more information, shoot me a PM.
Good job, btw, this is a nice mod.
Edit: Oh and I was making an episode of my LP where I tried out some mods, this one included, so you can see the (possible) problem firsthand there if you like once that is released.. (Youtube.com/yushatak)
If whoever your artist is doesn't respond quick enough I wouldn't mind doing some texture work for you, as long as you credit me for whatever I provide ya with. Shoot me a PM if you're interested.
Mods that add more minerals + the village/colony mods could be combined a bit to do something like this. If you want to only control them from above, however (not be a miner/builder yourself), some more work would be needed.
Everything you've listed except the "Advanced Furance" (I haven't decided on crucible + normal furnace vs. "Alloying Station" [would need a new name] yet) and much more is in the plans for my extensive mod that will start development once the source is released with the modding signup thing.
So if you don't manage to get some people together and make this, keep an eye out for my mod once the source is released for modders.
I constantly found water that would not fall. I'd dig a tunnel over to a lake or ocean and the water tile I hit would just hang above me menacingly, doing nothing. I had to dig out irrelevant adjacent blocks to get the tile to update. I even found one area where a little cave led from the land up to the edge of the ocean, the roof being parallel to the water. When I got to the other side, there was a strange "cave" made of water wherein there was an air pocket in the side of the ocean, water suspended above and beside it. :tongue.gif: I placed a block and it went to hell, lol.

I have watched this mod for a looooong time. I finally went to install it a few minutes ago and try it out.
I installed modloader. I installed this. I deleted META-INF. I run the game, works just fine, but there are no dynamic lights.... What? :tongue.gif:
