posted a message on Biomes O' Plenty - Over 50 new biomes, with new trees, plants, mobs, and more!
    Quote from TDWP_FTW

Here's a preview of a really cool biome I just finished:

    Parasitic Heap

Parasite blocks spread over grass, dirt, stone, sand, sandstone, gravel, logs, leaves, planks, cobblestone, and every type of ore. Beware of living close to this biome, as it'll eventually spread to your settlement.

There's gotta be a limit on how far that can spread though, surely? Otherwise it would just spread beyond the biome every time you're close enough for it to load, and completely cover *everything* nearby...unless it's restricted in some way, it sounds like it would potentially be nothing but a nuisance.

posted a message on The Winged Lion
I thought I'd share my first creation in the Aether dimension - a white winged lion. :)

His body is made of wool, his mane is made of glowstone, his wings are made of iron blocks and his eyes are diamond and lapis lazuli. There is an Aether portal inside his mouth as well - you can reach it by using the Blue Aercloud directly underneath his head as a trampoline!

I wanted this lion to be the mythical counterpart of the lion I built previously, as featured in this thread:

    Lion Statue

posted a message on Sonic Ether's Unbelievable Shaders [compatible with Minecraft 1.12.2 via OptiFine]

I just have one question. Does these shaders work with this graphics card? ATI Radeon HD 4600 Series

My old laptop only had an ATI Radeon HD 4570, but was able to run this mod with FPS usually in the 20-30 range on normal/far. It seems that it's actually the higher end computers that suffer the most drastic reduction in performance percentage-wise (although overall their performance is obviously still likely to be higher than that of older computers, ie. a high end computer might drop from 200 FPS to 50 FPS whereas an older computer may only go from 40 FPS to 20 FPS).

posted a message on Best world seed ever in your liking -ALL VERSIONS-
Mine, Yrael, spawned me on the intersection of a jungle, a desert and a volcano (quite literally, actually - it's a big stone mountain with a crater on the top, with some lava).

    Not bad!

Edit: Oh wow, there's a pretty cool natural cave in this jungle, with a stream running through it:

At first glance it doesn't seem to lead anywhere, but if you dig straight down at the very end of the passage you'll hit an enormous cave system, complete with mineshafts.

posted a message on Biomes are screwed up...
Meh, I'm not that fussed about it at this stage. Sure, it looks a little odd, but then again, so does nature at times:

Not that realism even matters much in Minecraft anyway.

posted a message on New Ores
Personally, I like these ideas best:

Crystal quartz: Can be used for clear crystal windows that are stronger than regular glass made from smelted sand. Crystals can also be combined with dyes to make coloured glass.

Copper: Can be used as an aesthetic block. It can also be used for some cool redstone gadgetry.

Marble/Limestone (smelted into marble): Serves as both a hard-to-break object for good defences and a beautiful aesthetic block. Three marble blocks placed in a row will yield marble slabs.

Ruby and/or emerald: Used as trade items for the Testificates when trading/questing is introduced.

Silver: Used as an aesthetic block and for enchantable jewellery for additional power ups.

"Rainbow powder": A mystical ore even rarer than diamond. This will add an extra enchantment when used on an item in the crafting square. It can perhaps also be used as an ingredient for an extra-powerful and long-lasting potion.

I'm afraid it's random. You can breed the cats though to get more of them - there are three different types, excluding the original ocelot (ginger, black and white, and Siamese).

    And flings poo.

Honestly, I think the ocelots are much better (although I may be a little biased here, seeing as cats of all kinds are my favourite animals...)
